Evening everyone,

We finally had our scan today, and we are having boy! Scan took ages as baby didn't want to lay in correct position so it could have all its measurments ect done. Anyway, everything looks fine.

Seems a bit more real now we know what we are having. Have spend the rest of the day trying to sort out some of the stuff in our 4th bedroom, which will be the nursery. I can't believe how much stuff we seem to collect!

Hope all the other scans are going well this week.

memphis83 · 09/03/2010 18:44

hi kitty congrats on boy, another boy for the group!! stac i dont blame you for wanting to know i said i dint care if the baby didnt want to show us i would pay for a private one to find out! trying to explain to people that yes i do understand that as long as its healthy it doesnt matter but im an inpatient cow and needed to know!!

beckyg123 · 09/03/2010 19:02

Evening!
Can't believe its 7pm already! How did that happen?

Hope everyone has had a good day.

stac and Kitty congrats on the scans! Sorry to hear you couldn't tell gender stac- fingers crossed for sat! I can understand you feeling that way- lol at the donkey with carrot

memphis that sounds like a great deal- i love the thought of the teddy with heartbeat. When are you having it?

I'm really uncomfy with my bump again- seem to be in for another stretch. And the boobs are MASSIVE! I can't bear to have any waistband and am only comfy in over the bump jeans or nothing!!!

beckyg123 · 09/03/2010 19:09

violet I have no idea about who can attend the exercise classes but you could call them and ask? they are based in physiotherapy on 2nd floor of PRM- 211 5232.
Will see you on fri at antenatal hope the hair is looking and feeling good!

congrats kitty glad all went well.

becky i totally forgot to ask bout classes, i am going to try for aquanatal on friday instead. I feel as if i have stretched to, lots of pains. Have physio next week

memphis it is totally that i am an impatient cow and want to know sooner rather than later lol. I know with ds i wanted a surprise but this time i feel totally different, glad you all understand and of course my main priority is my babys health but just want the extra bit lol

mlic totally understand hun, i got sent a text bout the case, not a malicious joke but i couldnt bear to read it. Give yourself a break hun, there is harrowing stuff going on so its normal to feel upset x

Congrats on scans stac and kitty.
My friend had 3d scan and it looked amazing.
Sorry to hear you are feeling down MLIC I get like that sometimes too. Go and have a nice bath and "me" time.
Just watching One Born Every Minute! The 17-year-old couple are really sweet.

violetbubbles · 09/03/2010 21:55

Congratulations on the scans Kitty and Stac - so pleased that everything went well. Fingers crossed you find out the gender on Sat Stac I think we're going to get a 3D Growth and Wellbeing scan at aound 30 wks - either at BabyScanning or Fetal Imaging clinic in the West End.

And yes, my boobs have gotten out of control too. I was measured at about 15 weeks and had to get a 34F!!!! But now I'm spilling out of that too - will need to go for another fitting but think this time I will get a nursing bra as will get more wear out of that I think...

Sorry to hear you're feeling down MLIC - we all seem to have days like that - hope you get a good night's sleep and feel better in the morning
x

Wonderstuff · 09/03/2010 22:15

Hi all

Just watched OBEM - even with my big bump, actually having a baby seems not quite real. So excited about getting to that point.

MLIC I know what you mean about being emotional - during my last pg I couldn't watch the news or buy a paper, adverts used to set me off crying. Seem to be a bit calmer this time, but still have my moments. Seem to lose my rag more quickly than normal atm.

I have the discharge thing, just as you describe WWSW.

Am feeling washed out atm, and still have a cough - been weeks! Feels like it anyway.

Got consultant appointment on Thursday.

stac14 · 09/03/2010 22:16

violet we are going to babybonding at park circus, as its paid for they have to find out so 3rd time lucky x

becky the bear does seem good as i love hearing the heartbeat its a good deal but its another thing that friends and family with children over 7 say ooh we didnt have those when i was pregnant! stac impatient cow is my middle name its one thing after another now i know the sex i just want july here so i can hold him at least with a private gender scan you can keep the probe on you belly until they see the sex! on one born every minute it was nice to see such a young dad look so besotted with his little girl, im 27 and i only just feel ready to be a mum she put me to shame acting so mature! mlic hope you feel better after a good night sleep

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/03/2010 10:29

Good morning everyone!
Back from my mw app, heard baby's heartbeat, took a while to get there cos he was moving around so much! Its a really strong beat though its so nice to hear.

Shes given me 3 mags to read too which will keep me busy, Im off to see my sister now

Jojobil · 10/03/2010 12:56

Hope all your scans and check ups are going well and all is better with everyone!

Another mum told me yesterday that two of her friends were told they are having boys last year and they both had girls... AHHHHH! I'm freaking out a tiny little bit now. I really got used to the idea of having a boy. I can very much understand wanting to have a 3D. Although I think it's a little pricey... Does anyone know if it is possible to see at a 30 week scan? As I am having one, maybe they can double check?

I was a little emotional today. Cried because they sold out for swimming lessons on weekends for my DD and my DH suggested the other option is an intense course every day first thing in the morning all through the Easter break... And I was looking forward to not having to get up and run first thing every morning... We ended up deciding he will start taking her from May.. How silly am I?

Chulita · 10/03/2010 13:15

Just got back from my 20wk scan, little one was totally curled up sucking its toes. Despite loo breaks, jumping and lots of prodding it didn't budge. We didn't get any photos because they were all rubbish! But, everything's fine, growing in the right places and at the right pace so we're not bothered about photos. Roll on July, no scans til then

pitchy · 10/03/2010 16:23

Hi,

Am i too late to join this group? I'm due with #1 on July 11th. Hope not

thanks pitchy

Jojobil · 10/03/2010 16:40

Welcome Pitchy it's never too late

Chulita well done on your scan. I guess baby wants to make you a surprise

memphis83 · 10/03/2010 17:01

chulita sounds like you have a stubborn little baby in there lol!!! jojobil im only planning on having the one baby i thought i could justify the price of a 3d scan, lady who gave me an ecg today payed 300 for her 3d scan and she highly recommended it as you apparently get to see facial features and expressions plus a gaurenteed gender confirmation, wecome pitchy im due the same weekend (9th) do you know what your having? where abouts are you based?

beckyg123 · 10/03/2010 17:06

Hi pitchy, you have same due date as me

chulita congrats on having a good scan- baby sounds cute sucking its toes! lol!

stac went to exercise class today and it was quite good. Only me and 1 other girl tho so a little quiet- they were expecting several others who didn't turn up. I'm going to go back next week- class was pretty relaxed with a little cardio, some stretches and relaxation. violet i asked about people registered at SG going but she said its only open to those registered at PRM- sorry

Really looking forward to fajitas for tea tonight but just realised i bought everything except the spice powder! doh! back to tesco then, just as well its only round the corner!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/03/2010 17:08

Congrats on scan chulita at least you know LO is healthy

My uterus is squashing everything up again its so uncomfy, its like my ribs are digging in to my insides

Had a really good day with my sister and friends though

stac14 · 10/03/2010 17:37

hey ladies

Welcome pitchy never too late to join hun, hows your pregnancy been?

becky is it easy? I will phone and book. Could be doing with more socialising lol.

memphis you are getting a great deal, i am £80 for 2d gender scan and only justifying it as i took it from savings. Bet you cant wait, i know i cant lol

chulita sounds like your bambino is as stubbourn as mine, glad all went well

jojo that is extremely rare but i'm sure they could double check at your 30wk scan. Try not to worry you can see the bits on your scan cant you?

dh glad you had a good appointment. Know what you mean bout everything being pushed up, i feel quite breathless at times. Oh and the heartburn is kicking in too
Hows everyone else keeping? X

beckyg123 · 10/03/2010 17:47

stac I (touch wood) havent had heartburn, no doubt I will get it, theres still plenty of time! I get breathless too though, I literally feel out of breath walking from one room to another sometimes (not sure if thats normal now I think about it though haha)

Chulita · 10/03/2010 18:13

MLIC, I wasn't planning on it but then caved and asked. Never mind, it's happy and healthy and DH was grinning like a Cheshire cat watching LO wriggling around
