...now the "Crazy Baby Ladies"!

Had the idea to start this thread because, after getting my BFP on Monday, it suddenly dawned on me that I was going to lose contact with a lot of lovely people. I feel sad every time anyone leaves (though obviously happy for you that you've got your BFP) and thought this might be a nice idea, so that we can continue to keep in touch. After all, we've been through a lot together, haven't we?!

Also, I felt a bit out of my depth on the other threads, where it seemed like most of the members had already had children. There didn't seem to be a "first-timers" thread on here. (Unless I missed it!)

So here goes!

Oooh and I did a CBD tonight as I just had to and got a BFP and a 2-3 weeks! So excited!

pepperonipizza · 19/01/2010 06:49

Ozzie, that's fab. I haven't got any additional cover on my private healthcare policy, so I am slumming it and going to the public hospital. So far, so good (apart from waiting a while for clinic appointments, but I only have to go a few times to the hospital, am doing shared care with hospital and GP).

Glad to hear eveyone is well and there are lots of exciting scans coming up!!!

Thank you WhiteRoses! I can't believe I'm on the graduates list. I feel like a bit of a fraud being here as I'm only on CD28. Just crossing fingers, toes and everything else that this little bean is sticky. I want it SO much!

pixiestix · 19/01/2010 11:24

Just read your latest post and so for the way your mum was treated. She sounds like an absolute diamond.

CurlyCasper · 19/01/2010 12:31

wow - congrats pixie!

White I think you might have just created some sort of fertility magic by starting this thread. The BFPs just keep on coming!

TishTosh21 · 19/01/2010 16:39

Congrats pixie Hope things go smoothly for you Will keep fingers crossed for you.

Hermya321 · 19/01/2010 18:35

Whiteroses Your Mum sounds like an absolute dream. I'm not surprised you were nearly in bits, I'm having a wibble reading what she went through. She sounds like a star. I'm sorry for the way she was treated.

Congrats to everyone who has moved over to this thread. I'm just being cheeky and nosey. Hope you don't mind.

NovemberAli · 19/01/2010 19:59

Big congratulations to pixie and hobnob, fingers crossed for sparkly to join us soon. .

A girl at work had her baby yesterday - have seen some pics and he is absolutely gorgeous, I can't quite believe that I will have one of those in about 8 months time . It did start a big debate in the office over child birth with people saying they could never think about having children because they couldn't face giving birth - I sat quietly in the corner, biting my lip!

Just updating with my EDD.

pixie and MadameG and hobnob and tentatively sparkly YYYYYYAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!

SO pleased for you, wonderful news, really fantastic! Welcome to the graduates thread!

How lovely that we have so many coming over at once. We must make sure that this thread keeps going, and then we move onto a "Frolickers have their babies" thread where we all share the borth, babyhood, toddlerhood etc... (am I getting ahead of myself??)

Whiteroses your mum's experience sounds terrible. I can't believe how they used to treat mothers - when my Mum had me she was left in a room in labour, hooked up to oxytocin, on her own for hours before the one Obs for the hospital came in and realised that I was breech and she was rushed in for an EMCS.

To be told "it was hardly a baby" is so upsetting I actually can feel myself welling up - as I know that now, even at 9 weeks, this baby is my child, is part of me, and I feel so protective towards it already, even though I have tried not to in case anything goes wrong.

Your Mum sounds like a wonderful woman.

I dreamed last night that I told my parents and they just shrugged and said "you live round the other side of the world, we'll never see it anyway" - well done subconscious, tapping into my very worst fears!

Ozziegirly · 19/01/2010 22:21

That's share the "birth" rather than the "borth"....

whiteroses nope it still hasn't sunk in yet, felt well weird when my period was actually due and didn't arrive though! I've felt really queasy for the last 3 mornings, struggled to get breakfast down me and also felt really tired. Had backache and AF type pains too. Rang the docs, they don't routinely give appts for confirming a pregnancy here, just got told to book in with a midwife at 8 weeks, which luckily falls on half term week. I feel a bit in limbo to be honest! How did you get on at the docs ?

Oooh can I ask that my EDD is changed ? I'm certain I OV'd on 1st Jan, and most due date/conception thingys seem to say I conceived on the 2nd Jan, which would make my due date 25/9/10. Thanks

Pixistix massive congrats!

hamsterlover · 20/01/2010 21:25

Wow! Lots of graduates joining congrats to you all.
Well, have seen doctor and midwife and have an EDD of 14th of Sept.
Haven't been around much as busy at work, morning all day sickness has struck with a vengeance and this is the first time since Thurs that I have been awake after 8.30. Feel like I will fall asleep on my feet now tho so off to bed soon. Will catch up with you all properly soon hopefully

pixiestix · 21/01/2010 10:32

What's happened to White Roses? She is our fearless leader, where has she gone?????

CurlyCasper · 21/01/2010 11:02

Em, if you are out there, whiteroses, I hope you are ok. This is all a bit strange.

claireinthecommunity · 21/01/2010 11:28

We're all worried over on the TTC thread too.

pixiestix · 21/01/2010 12:05

Zippys has just said that Roses had a doctors appointment yesterday. I'm so worried for her

WhiteRoses · 21/01/2010 12:32

Sorry - totally fine. Will post longer message in a coupe of minutes, meanwhile just quickly letting you know not to worry - going to do same now over on other thread. Absolutely nothing wrong though - except that I'm pretty embarrassed to have caused such a panic! Sorry!
