Hi Ladies,
I've also got the day off work today. Had a very lazy morning until I realised there was no food in the house so went shopping.
Just had big bowl of fruit and to compensate for being super healthy am just about to have big piece of cake. Yum.
Glastonbury how's the pelvic pain? I thought my hip/back pain had improved with doing yoga but started to have shooting pains in my buttocks today which is another sign of pgs.
Thank goodness I have a physio referral but no appointment for two weeks!
stac thanks for adding me to the list
I have been feeling lo kick with tiny feet that feel like butterfly wings for a week or two now. So gentle...wasn't sure what it was for a while but it's definitely baba kicking.
My bump gets much bigger after I have eaten lost of food!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend x

kapars · 05/02/2010 15:56

Oh and on the dreams - been having very vivid wierd dreams but no horny ones which is very disapponting!
Giving birth to a piglet sounds very scary., violet!

WinterMadness · 05/02/2010 17:43

My ds will also be 19 months wonder. I wondered about just getting a sling but my (good) friend who has two little ones told me I was being delusional. On reflection she is right so going to bite the bullet and start shopping.

chulita is it only me or do you get raised eyebrows and 'oh my God' looks when you tell people there'll be 19 months difference? I had yet another woman at work do it to me today and it's starting to grind on me. Managed to not bite though and changed the subject.

On a completely separate note I'm fuming with nursery as I just picked ds up and even though they asked me if he needed breakfast and I said yes, they didn't give him any! Not happy

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/02/2010 18:04

My mum bought me some maternity jeans from New Look today, they're really nice and fit so well, they are under the bump with 2 stretchy panels on each side and still have alot of room to grow in them too.

Chulita · 05/02/2010 19:44

winter, the MW even raised her eyebrows when she popped round the other day and saw DD. 'well you're not hanging around, are you?' There's a lady at Sure Start whose first two are 11 months apart so I can't win any awards there I have had a couple of people say they're a bit jealous [smug] and one lady in a kitchenware shop commented that she'd had hers 19 mths apart and she was always waiting for them to be 'hard work' like everyone promised and they never were...that was encouraging!
DD loved her sling when she was little so I'm just hoping we can get away with it now. She's walking pretty well too so maybe with reins... [hopeful]

stac14 · 06/02/2010 08:54

hi ladies, how are you today? Ds is in the school cup final today so have to brave the cold to go watch. Loaded with the cold so could happily stay in bed. Was at gp yesterday who thinks i have slight spd/psd/pds soz cant remember what the initials are but its what the pains are. I am 17wks today and lo seems much more active especially when i am lying down, are the rest of you the same?

chulita my friend and her sis are 11months apart, while they fought they were always there for each other. They almost felt like twins, now they are best friends. Think thier mum would say they had thier moments but thats normal. I'm sure you will all be fine. X

Ladygagalot · 06/02/2010 12:06

Hi everyone
Just tried to catch up with all the happenings I'm not on that much by the time I finish work I just want to veg out on the sofa, sorry.

The last few weeks I have had headaches (one today) that come and go, now I can hear my heart beating in my ears most of the time which is weird, heart pounding when I do the littlest thing and I'm a bit breathless. I called the mw on Thurs to pass it by them (people at work mentioned blood pressure might be high) anyway saw the mw today - blood pressure and pulse fine, if still concerned come monday go to my gp. The mw then offered to see if we could hear the baby's heart beat, I was like yes when I popped my tummy out she was a bit surprised re the size of my bump at 18 weeks, mw mentioned a few possibilities one being gestational diabetes, so now I'm worried about my bump being too big before I was quite chuffed that my bump was starting to show Any ideas??? We managed to hear our wee dudes heart beating away - all good

My post just arrived - blood test results back - no action required and next scan on 23rd feb

Stay cool yummy mummy's

ps how do I add myself to list?

WinterMadness · 06/02/2010 13:42

Just home from buggy shopping. Ordered what I easily think is the most expensive double buggy on the market at the moment. Typical. Could have done without spendin £700 but I know that now I've seen that I wouldn't settle for anything else! I always did have expensive taste, lol

Chulita · 06/02/2010 16:18

Ooh! Which one did you get?

WinterMadness · 06/02/2010 16:29

I got the new Icandy Peach Blossom chulita, I love it! Just got 4 months to pay the balance off now, lol. In the showroom they had the seat in the blue/green combo which I loved cos it looked dead funky, but as we're not finding out what we're having I opted for the more neutral 'blackjack'. Now I need to sell my Mamas and Papas skate to put the money towards it!

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/02/2010 16:46

£700?! that is so expensive!! Does it push your children for you?

WinterMadness · 06/02/2010 17:04

LOL, it should shouldn't it! The chasis with two seats is about £570 (which I actually think isn't bad considering my single buggy skate cost £575 I think) but then to use it for a newborn you have to buy the carrycot for about £155 or something like that. So all in all (with the 10% discount you get at my local wonderful store) it came to £701. Only £526 left to pay!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/02/2010 17:40

wow I feel v lucky that my MIL has offered to buy us a pram, I just hope she knows what shes let herself in for, I dont want her to get a nasty shock, I bet the prams where no where near as expensive in "her day" lol

WinterMadness · 06/02/2010 17:44

Yes dh21 they're certainly up there as one of the most expensive things you'll need. I think only the nursery furniture cost more, everything else was much cheaper

Wonderstuff · 06/02/2010 17:55

Just did a google and it does look lovely WM

I feel rough today, headachy and tired, dh has been fab, have got friends over in a bit, so need to get my arse in gear and help tidy up.

Have a good rest of the weekend all x

stac14 · 06/02/2010 18:10

hi ladies was just saying to dp today we are nearly halfway there and have nothing in at all, i want to wait till 1st march for my scan, dont know why lol. has everyonne been buying stuff?

the prams are really expensive, my aunt has offered to buy ours so i told her to give us a lump sum and we will pay the rest just in case i gave her heart failure

wonder you will probs perk up when friends arrive, its weird how you get good and bad days

well ds's team on 6-1 so they got the cup. i was so chuffed, unfortunalty ds got kicked in the ankle by another boy and had to go off at half time but still played well. I jerked my back when they scored so i am now back in bed it aches to walk silly bitch that I am

Just waiting for friends. Had a look at pushchairs, thinking of trading in our Silver Cross 3D for a 3 wheeler, now we are out in the country and all-terrain seems like a good idea, better for muddy footpaths and bumping up steps and such. Silver Cross have a new one out in March - I know I won't be able to afford it - there is a perfectly good 3-wheeler being sold by an ebay trader for £119, which sil has and prefers to the Quinny, but the new Silver Cross looks so nice... Bound to be over £400. They have a video on the SC website and its like pram porn.

Stac14 hope you feel better soon, is so easy to hurt yourself.

Wales just lost to England

Should get on with something useful really.

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/02/2010 19:22

Oh stac that sounds nasty, hope you get better v soon.

DP and I spent the day packing up more stuff for the move on Thurs, there still seems to be so much that still needs to be packed though, I dont know where it all comes from! I suppose it'll keep me busy this week, and also seeing one of my friends on Mon and another on Tues (who really gets on my nerves so not really looking forward to that but have known her for 15 years so cant really stop)

Have a nice evening everyone

viksam · 06/02/2010 20:10

Thanks dh21 and wonder your so right it is easy to hurt yourself just now, just need to be more careful

OP posts:
Spirael · 06/02/2010 23:07

Heading to bed imminently, but just wanted to say that I reckon a topic name change is required for our new thread. I think most of us are past the worst of the MS now? Sympathies to anyone that isn't.

My suggestion for a new name would be: Due July 2010 - We're starting to feel those tiger feet!

Or words to that effect. Such a bad pun based on the song, the imminent Chinese new year and the flutterings of the LOs.

Someone come up with something better...please!
