I too am eating like a student - the shame of it!

THis is our third too Tobago - mine will be just 4 and 3 by next July! I keep thinking we are mad for having all our kids who will have birthdays within 2 months of each other!

We have told my parents - haven't told DH's yet! We have told a couple of other people though - just don't really want my work to find out until after our 12 week scan so we know everything is ok. I'm probably just being paranoid!

Hi guys
my MS is really really bad. Have been vomiting north of 5 times a day i don't think i'm dehydrated but i weighed myself yesterday and lost 2 lbs i am 7+5. Still having some brown spotting but i can't think straight with all the vomiting. I just have to keep thinking, all for a good cause.....
hope you guys are all keeping well

mousemole · 30/11/2009 08:32

number 3 for me too and if it all goes well we will end up with 3 children and me all having birthdays within a couple of weeks of each other. Poor DH will have 4 sensitive 'Cancer' family members to contend with .
Does anyone have cats ? Mine wont leave me alone and its driving me mad.
Tistosh my scan is £65- its a dating scan.

Page62 · 30/11/2009 08:42

hi tobago, kitty, and mouse, just to say this is our 3rd too! DD just turned 6 and DS is 3 1/2. Hope you guys are feeling well -- at least better than me!

CurlyCasper · 30/11/2009 09:19

tish my early reassurance scan costs £75. Like you I have few symptoms, so can't wait till this time next week when I'm having it done.

Nuchal scan is separate at this private clinic at something like £160 (or more).

Hope all those absent from the thread due to ms feel better soon

kinnies · 30/11/2009 09:27

Morning guys

hope alls well with you all.
page62 Hope you manade to keep somthing down love. I know its horrid

I've got a really lovley friend who came to pick ds up and took him to school for me this morning cos she didnt want me walking with buggy in the rain. I must be hormonal cos her kindness made me cry!

kinnies · 30/11/2009 09:28

*manage not manade

WickedWitchSouthWest · 30/11/2009 10:08

morning all

page, hope you manage to eat today Must be completely miserable to be sick so much.

tish, forgot yesterday but if I was to have a dating and nuchal scan here (Bristol) it would be £90 privately.

Well I feel like crap. Got a head cold and no voice. Paracetamol really ain't cutting it! Plus I feel really bad about taking 6-8 paracetamols a day but I just don't know what else I can do. Mum is having dd this afternoon for me thankfully.

I can't believe how generally rubbish I am this time! I had such an easy and healthy pg with dd - but she was a non-sleeper....does this mean I get a really easy baby?!

Haven't been on for a while, partly MS and partly rage

DH went to stay at his moms the night before an interview because it is closer than our house and he thought she might like a visit.

He also wanted to tell her that we are PG and thought she might take it better face-to-face. She was quite rude when she found out we were getting married, and again when we told her we were having DS. I assured him that it was just a shock to be a grandma, and this time around would be fine.

How wrong was I....

When he told her 'Gracie is pregnant' she was silent for a while before replying through gritted teeth 'that's nice for her'.

He says 'it's nice for us mom. We have wanted this for a while' to which she just walked out the room.

DH was obviously upset, but when he heard her get up in the morning he suggested they have breakfast together and she said 'fine, but don't get up yet, I need to take a shower. I'll come get you when I'm done'.

She then came to wake him an hour and a half later announcing that it was ten to nine and she had to go.

Why is she so mean???

I know you don't know, but please promise me none of you will treat your DS's like this. It hurts them so much

Gracie123 · 30/11/2009 11:04

Wicked - if it makes you feel better, I had hideous pregnancy with DS1 but he has slept through 12 hours a night from 4 weeks old through no effort on my part. That's just how he likes to sleep.

This pregnancy is going well so far though, hope that's not a bad omen...

kinnies · 30/11/2009 11:05

She'll come round TSComming at that age it's all dramatics and she will soon see a way of this all beeing about her so wont be too put out was it her who had a sore eye? If so hope shes ok now, & if not hope her eyes arnt sore anyway! lol.

WWSouthWest Yep I can guarante you a good sleeper this time (only cos you dont know where I live so cant sue me)

keevamum · 30/11/2009 11:48

Please can someone update the stats and remove my name from them. I am sorry I am not up to it. I wish all you ladies a very happy and healthy pregancy but unfortunately for me it wasn't meant to be.

givecarrotsachance · 30/11/2009 12:11

So sorry keeva

mumtoo3 · 30/11/2009 12:20

Hello Ladies

How is everyone feeling today?

Not feeling too good over here, having that dragging down feeling! has anyone else had this?

WinterMadness · 30/11/2009 12:30

So sorry Keeva

Gracie - OMG @ MIL's reaction! How cruel. We don't speak to my MIL so don't have to encounter the nastiness And sorry Thesecondcoming to hear about dd's reaction! She'll come round to it I have no doubt.

I think my nesting has starts early!!! Tree is now up (I luuurve Christmas!) and the house is well on the way to being tidier than it has been in months! Just need hubby to come home and put the rest of the lights up

Hope those with ms are doing ok. I'm off to stuff my face, see you later!

Gracie123 · 30/11/2009 12:48

winter We have had a tree up since saturday it's a family tradition to put it up the weekend after thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure nesting started early with this one too though. I have become addicted to one pretty thing and have started making all kinds of stuff. Crazy behaviour!

I wish we could avoid MiL, but DH loves her and we have to forgive and all that. I just wish she wouldn't keep repeating the same unpleasantnesses (sp?) and forcing us to forgive her all over again :S

BettyButterknife · 30/11/2009 13:06

Man, Gracie, your MIL sounds awful. I'm so sorry you didn't get a better reaction. Some people, eh?

Sorry to Keeva, too

MS sufferers - have found something that seems to be working for me! I was told that Spearmint essential oil is good, and I have been burning some in an oil burner for the past hour or so. Touch wood, but I feel a bit perkier! Could just be this time of the day though... mmm, what's for lunch?

I'm trying everything to curb this nausea. I've booked to see a homeopath tomorrow, who says she's had instant results for MS. Fingers crossed...

Ha! WWSW - boy or girl? Who knows! Definitely feels different this time, although one of my pregnancy books said MS is worse the unhealthier you are - I am definitely less healthy this time than last. Not v helpful, though. Ante-natal guilt trip, anyone?

BettyButterknife · 30/11/2009 13:08

Oh, and winter/Gracie - we're hoping to get our tree next weekend, when we're back from gay Pareeee. I, too, am feeling extra-specially Christmassy this year. I really can't wait! DS will be 2.5 so he'll really understand it this time. Any time he sees a toy that takes his fancy, he said 'Christmas present, maybe?' with a twinkle in his eye

Gracie123 · 30/11/2009 13:09

Betty I was definitely worse with DS even though I was way healthier. Not quite sure that rumour is true. It's probably put about by the gov't to make us exercise more/eat right

How are you not family? That's bloody outrageous!

I say lucky you though. I'm about to go and spend two weeks with MiL and FiL (divorced) and two SiL (one of whom is fairly sweet). Not particularly looking forward to it (especially after reaction to our news) but it would be deemed rude to turn down the invitation...

Wonderstuff · 30/11/2009 13:29

Hi all
Haven't been posting as have been so sick, went to doctors on Fri who found moderate levels of keytomes? in my urine, essentially my body is breaking down my fat because I'm not getting enough to eat. She signed me off for 2 weeks and said if I get worse I will need to go to hospital on a drip. So far total rest seems to be working, feel really awful and so guilty that I can't spend much time with dd. I am lucky dd isn't at all clingy and has been thrilled to spend extra time with grandparents who are being amazingly supportive.

givecarrotsachance · 30/11/2009 13:34

Fuck me, TSC that's outrageous. Assume DP isn't going? Better bloody not be.

Page62 · 30/11/2009 13:55

i am off to zita west clinic to get acupuncture session for this vomiting business. never had it before, but i'm desperate and will try anything. will do it even if they administered it with an ax. will let you guys know if it worked or if i just puked on the woman....
