I too am eating like a student - the shame of it!

Just got home from doctor's. I have an acute sinus infection. No wonder I feel dreadful

Wow tsc - that's so nice that yu still get to meet up with those women.
I hope I'm still friends with the p&t group when ds is 15. That would be amazing.

TishTosh21 · 17/12/2009 18:37

winter I have to fill out things about my DP, any previous pregnancies, but there hasnt been any so that was easy! A questionaire about where i want to have the baby etc, all very long winded and i dont know half the questions so ive just left them to ask the mw on tues. I just want my scan!!

ApuskiDusky · 17/12/2009 19:06

Hi all, it's been an age since I've posted on here as I've still been in my 'I feel less ill if I pretend I'm not pregnant' phase. And lots of posts to catch up on, too many to reference really!

But.... it has now been 6 days since I was physically sick with MS, and I have halved my medication without going backwards.... and have done the first full day of work today in weeks. At the risk of counting my chickens, I'm starting to hope this is the beginning of the end......

Still not ready to look at pregnancy books though, that's one thing that seems guaranteed to bring on full-on nausea. Very odd!

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 17/12/2009 19:27

Great to hear you are having better days Apuski, hopefully soon MS will be a memory for us all!

ApuskiDusky · 17/12/2009 19:35

Cheers, Gibbon. I'm feeling so much more cheerful now I'm starting to believe I won't have this for another 6 months, it's been grim.

How are you feeling?

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 17/12/2009 19:51

Had a respite at 8 weeks for 5 or so days but been pretty grim with the nausea since. Not as poorly as you have been and I keep reminding myself others have it far worse when I feel fed up and grumpy with it

Mind you today is first day not so bad so thinking positive. Had it till about 18 weeks with DD, am hoping it goes before then this time, I miss enjoying food

Lovely to see you have missed you

ApuskiDusky · 17/12/2009 20:03

Yes, really hope yours goes before 18 weeks. If my experience is anything to go by, it's perfectly possible to have a very different experience with different pregnancies!

Spirael · 17/12/2009 21:14

I'm heading off to bed imminently, but just wanted to share that the scan went ok. Strong heartbeat, a few days bigger than the dates I thought and it even did a little dance while being poked at. So cute-!

I think I've successfully put a picture up on my profile... Though I think it looks more like a fuzzy prawn than a baby at the moment.

evening evereyone

sorry for absence again, just mad busy with dd's schedule of parties! I'm on the pre school committee and been doing lots of baking/tea making/setting up etc. Knackering!

But...HOORAY! I'm 12 weeks!! Thank god too since I have a very neat little bump There would be no way of hiding now. Unfortunately the maternity clothes are too big and normal stuff is a bit unforgiving but I've found a nice tunic dress on DP's and sequin leggings to wear for Christmas and New Year.

spirael what a great picture! makes me feel all mushy I want another scan! lol

waves to apuski hiya! good to hear from you again. This pregnancy is also completely different so hope gibbon yours goes really soon.

winter good to hear your scan went well and the bleed is shrinking.

rooby I'm sorry....take care

tsc I'm taking fybogel now and actually (worryingly) quite like it as a drink but it's not doing all that much really so a friend has recommended going to the gp and getting lactulose on prescription.

Off to bed soon as dd is poorly and expecting a rough night of it...sorry if there's anything I've missed.

Emster30 · 17/12/2009 22:57

Hello all! Great news Spirael!

I'm feeling pretty good at the mo and have been sleeping a bit better (touch wood). Been out Christmas partying all the time, but without the hangover! One good friend from work did pick up on the fact he's only seen me with soft drinks all week this evening, and so I ended up telling him (couldn't be arsed to lie, and he did guess). It was really nice to chat to him about it actually, he's a sweetie.

Have been a bit paranoid about the lack of symptoms and ended up buying another test today, which came up with a lovely strong positive line. I think someone said that tests would remain positive for two weeks after a MMC, but it still comforted me anyway.

I picked up a Baby on Board badge for the tube yesterday and tried it out - no one offered me a seat and I was quite embarrassed to wear it! I'll keep it on me and try it again next time I'm in need of a seat.

Hope people's MS is improving.

TishTosh21 · 18/12/2009 08:40

Hello everyone.

You all seem to be coming to the end of your sickness ( fingers crossed) I seem to be coming into it! I feel more sick as the days go by which is completely unfair. Im getting so excited and nervous about my scan, it isnt booked yet but i really want to know its all ok.

I got bad pains down the left side of my uterus yesterday morning and was so scared it was all over but they went and there was no blood whatsoever, can anyone shed some light on what it could have been?

Thanks

Gracie123 · 18/12/2009 09:57

Tish - I get a lot of bad pains on my left hand side and did throughout last pg too. Drs thought I might have ectopic pg but repeat scans say no. Mw just says 'oh some people get funny symptoms, no one is the same. Your scan was fine so don't worry about it'
it's not that I'm particularly worried as such, just embarrassed when mid sentence have to stop and breathe. Still, if it's not cramps I'm vomiting, so I'm just hiding out and not seeing anyone anyway!

I've never seen a baby on board badge. Is it big? Maybe nobody clocked it? When I was pg with ds I used to just sit on the floor if there were no chairs (couldn't stand for long periods as spd and bad hip) and a guy would always look flustered and offer me his seat. Might also have something to do with my deathly pale anaemic/ms look that I was sporting at the time though.

Pregnant glow? That completely passed me by.

TishTosh21 · 18/12/2009 09:57

OMG Ive just had my scan appointment letter through the post this very min, its on 5th Jan at 12pm!! IM SOS SOSO SOSOS SO excited!!!!

and a little nervous...

lifeistooshort · 18/12/2009 11:25

Spirael very cute picture!

I have scan too. I am 9 weeks and still don't know when I might have one

I have just wolved down a pack of pringles. That will really help with weight control then

stac14 · 18/12/2009 17:05

Hi ladies

How is everyone today? All good I hope. Spiral your pic is so cute.

becky I did get my hair done it felt so good lol, also woke up feeling like a different person today suppose I always feel like that when I have my hair done. Went shopping and for lunch with the girls.

lifestooshort I am terrible when I open a pack of pringles, as the ad says once you pop you cant stop so its not surprising it went down in one lol

TishTosh21 · 18/12/2009 17:25

haha im the same with pringles, had a tube in 2 days and started on another one now! Ive got yummy indian for dinner tonight

Gracie123 · 18/12/2009 18:26

Soooooooooooo disappointed!

Having waited all week for drs appt, when I got there the receptionist said dr was really behind and would I please see the nurse practitioner instead as she can still prescribe.

I said fine, waited ages, finally saw the nurse who apologised because she can't prescribe if you are pg!! Apparently she used to be a mw but qualification has run out, so now she can't have anything to do with pg ladies as it might be seen as using an expired qualification.

I really need those bloody ms drugs and the best she could offer was an appt with a dr next week! Really wish I hadn't listened to the stupi receptionist. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

CurlyCasper · 18/12/2009 19:07

Hi all, not been on for a week between going away and then coming down with norovirus (made me feel so sorry for those of you with full-on morning sickness ).

All ok here, I think. Back to more "normal" preggo bowels and appetite back with a vengeance today! Great to hear all of your updates.

We bought a fetal doppler the other week. Still not able to pick up heartbeat (too soon) but there certainly seems to be more blood flow etc. noise in that region so it seems positive (i found a website that has Mp3s of what you should hear)

Sorry to rooby if you are still around. Take care

WickedWitchSouthWest · 18/12/2009 19:31

tish oooo how exciting!

gracie nope, had no pregnancy glow either with dd - got acne instead I'm wondering if that's because I was pg straight off the pill. My skin is better at the mo, hoping it stays nice! I even got told how well I was looking yesterday hooray! Hope you get your ms drugs soon - badger the gps on Monday am, they might have a cancellation...

curly yuk, how nasty. Glad you're back to normal. I've been toying with the idea of a doppler but lots of ppl have expressed concern about my slightly obsessive nature and so I've been talked out of it for now. BUT, my best friend (also preggers) is a vet nurse and has 24 hour access to a doppler at work so I might borrow her expertise in these things!

Well, dd is poorly and I can feel another cold coming on - my third in 6 weeks! not fair, I never get colds normally Just hoping that we all get better before Christmas (although it would give me an excuse to camp in my bedroom and avoid the mil!).

stac14 · 18/12/2009 21:59

Evening all,

curly glad your better hun, wwsw hope your feeling better soon, I couldnt be trusted with a dopler, I would be using it all the time and if I couldnt find it I would be at the docs so best I dont have one lol

gracie thats crap treatment from the gp, as they are aware of your circumstances surely they could have given you the prescription instead of you having to go through this till next week, I agree with wwsw call on Monday see if you can get an emergency appointment or call nhs24 and just tell them how ill you are and that you have ds to look after.

yay tish your scan is the day before mine, how may weeks will you be then?

How are the rest of you ladies?

just adding myself to the list.

Hi ladies,
Just thought I'd pop in as havnt posted in a while

I hope you're all feeling better than me.
I,m so sick all the time (hyperemisis). Dh has taken time off untill it eases a bit as I cant look after DD. I'm just too weak to move sometimes. So I'm very lucky to have him.
He was a usles toss pot last time, and it got me so down I'm sure it contrabutied to PND. So he's making up for it this time and its just so much better having somone around who dosnt say 'You'er only pregnant, not ill!!' (my mum came out with that and many other nice comments whilst I was in hospital on an IV drip!)

Am looking forward to having a scan on 6/1/10.
My midwife thinks I'm 2wks futher on than I do (and no its not that I'm fat! lol)so I guess we,ll see who is right. I'd like it to be her though
