Gosh, we've gabbed our way to 1000 already!

I too am eating like a student - the shame of it!

Good luck, Gracie123! I hope everything goes well.

Aww... I think the jelly baby is cute, CurlyCasper! Mind you, a seahorse sounds cute too.

Just think, better a jelly baby than something like a cockroach, or a tractor, or a politician!

stac14 · 08/12/2009 10:52

good luck for today gracie hope alls well. X

lifeistooshort · 08/12/2009 10:57

Hi everyone. I am back after house move.

Wonderfull stuff so glad you finally exchanged!

Gracie good luck this pm, fingers crossed

Wicked Witch did you book your scan yourself or did your doctor surgery. I am in Bristol too but only have my booking in on the 17th and I will be 9 weeks + then am wondering whether I should have booked my scan myself? Where did you have yours done?

Am generally feeling very tired but I cannot sleep. If somethings wakes me during the night, I cannot go back to sleep last night I have under 3 hours sleep. I am also feeling nauseaous and I am so bloated that by the evening I look the size of a house. My DH keeps joking I am having twins or triplets (not funny!)

WickedWitchSouthWest · 08/12/2009 11:32

good luck gracie

curly it I can work out how to upload a picture here I will

Wonderstuff · 08/12/2009 11:32

Feeling rough today, not helped by the fact that dh has done feck all housework. I am barely able to get out of bed, I'm not major houseproud, I don't normally do loads but he hasn't done the washing up cleared the table from tea put breakfast things away or fed the cat. Just going into the kitchen makes me feel ill atm. Going back to the docs tomorrow, there has got to be something better they can give me.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 08/12/2009 11:34

sorry life x post!

Mine was a referral from the midwife after my early bird appointment. I'm technically under North Somerset PCT so not sure if it works differently to central bristol?

I had mine at St Micks and there was LOADS of us in the waiting room by ten to 9 in the morning. Have a horrible feeling July is a busy time for babies....

WickedWitchSouthWest · 08/12/2009 11:51

it won't let me upload the picture! it's a jpeg and only 89k so surely not too big?!

CurlyCasper · 08/12/2009 11:59

can't work out why it would not upload - maybe just a web glitch

WickedWitchSouthWest · 08/12/2009 12:34

tsk, gremlins in the machines again will keep trying...

WickedWitchSouthWest · 08/12/2009 12:36

hmmm, anyone techy know what this error means?

"Ooops!
Error: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "/usr/bin/convert": java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory "

?

violetbubbles · 08/12/2009 12:45

Good luck today Gracie!
Sorry to hear you're feeling so unwell Wonder - I always find that DH responds well to a to do list list stuck to the fridge, with the following note: Could you please help out with these tasks while I'm growing our baby in my tummy...

I just had curry flavour super noodles for lunch. They tasted so yummy but now I feel like a bad mum-to-be...maybe I'll have an apple to balance out the bad stuff!

lovechoc · 08/12/2009 13:01

Has anyone got a date yet for their 12 week scan? seems to be taking ages everything is so slow...

givecarrotsachance · 08/12/2009 13:17

I must be exceptionally lucky as YOB can't do enough for me, even though he's feeling ill himself.

I am managing MS at the moment with wrist bands and homeopathy, and vitamin B6. Mine is nausea rather than vomiting, worse in the morning and evening, added to extreme tiredness. Obviously my suggestions won't be much use to those of you with more severe MS, but it may be enough to take the edge off. Really, for me it's not actually stopping me feeling sick all the time, but it makes it manageable and I can keep working productively rather than sitting at my desk and feeling terrible.

I'm using nux vom which is a standard anti-nausea homeopathic treatment, plus my constitutional remedy which is different for everyone and came from my homeopath.

I'm also taking fish oils for the baby's brain development... or to try to keep mine functioning!

I did use candied ginger to start with but I can't face it now, makes me feel sick, ironically.

WinterMadness · 08/12/2009 13:37

I should maybe know this but what does YOB mean carrots?

CurlyCasper · 08/12/2009 13:52

carrots I think you've brought terminology from another thread across the border so to speak. Although, I am struggling to remember why your OH is called YOB...? (sorry I should know this by now)

Spirael · 08/12/2009 14:27

I received a letter with the date for my 12/13 week scan over the weekend, pretty much two weeks after my initial appointment with the MW. Hope that helps, lovechoc!

givecarrotsachance · 08/12/2009 14:32

Apologies, just typing without thinking. YOB = yummy older bloke = husband. LC = little carrot = small 5 year old son. CS = carrot seed = baby in tumtum.

Now obviously I'm Very Important and even though I don't post here that often I Expect People To Remember.

Please excuse me for now, I have a small country to run.

Wonderstuff · 08/12/2009 14:41

LOL carrots, excellent.

I'm feeling very bored and sorry for myself, should do some work really, but I feel sooo ill.

DH is going to see house today, which will hopefully solve our imminent homelessness issue (alternative may be living with my mum)
new house

Chulita · 08/12/2009 15:06

Can I join you in feeling grotty wonderstuff? I'm feeling miserable, still constantly nauseous and to make things worse we only moved here a couple of months ago and I don't know anyone, and I hate the place, and I miss my friends. No one talks to anyone else around here...waaah! I feel sick and rubbish.
Right, pity party over. I'm tempted to go and see the GP just to see if I can get a date for the scan soonish. DH has got different duties coming up and I really want him to be there for the scan (to hold DD really )

Wonderstuff · 08/12/2009 15:15

Aw Chulita, sounds rubbish. I have a few mates here, but I haven't been out in weeks and no one has noticed. I just wish that I could speed up time and get on with this pg. Why is it that pregancy last forever but babies grow up in a second?

skihorse · 08/12/2009 15:16

carrots I too am finding candified ginger just makes me want to vom now... 3 weeks ago it was a life-saver!

My OH is also one of the delightful ones who is doing everything - he does all the housework, 70% of the cooking, fetches me drinks and won't let me lift a finger basically. Bless.

OP posts:
skihorse · 08/12/2009 15:16

Tbh he might just be doing all of the above in the vain hope he'll get his mitts on my giant norks!

OP posts:
Chulita · 08/12/2009 15:23

Lol skihorse, I want big boobs...mine haven't inflated at all this time round - I suppose there's still time.
DH is brilliant when he's here but he works long hours most of the time.
Argh! DD's driving me mad, she slept through toddler group this morning so she's not run off any steam and I don't have the energy to entertain her!

givecarrotsachance · 08/12/2009 15:30

ski. Mine are seriously painful ATM and I'm thinking of getting one of those sleepy bras. I can't sleep on my back, side and now tummy. Ho hum. Minor though compared to other people's MS.
