New arrival - born 29 December!

Went in for my induction - i phoned the hospital from 6:30am on Monday morning and then all day as they were so busy they didn't have a bed until the evening! At 7:30pm we finally went in and they started my a/b's at 10pm and again at 2pm, gave me an epi which ran out after making me pass out (!), broke my waters at 3:30am but after nothing happening at 6:30am they started me on a drip, come 7:30am i was fully dilated and at 8:11 am Eleanor Joy was born. She is beautiful and we are home. So different to having had DS as he was so sick - almost can't believe we are back at home with a 3 day old and adjusting to life as a 4 person family. It is great.

Baby finch arrived 13 days late, on 28/12. She is gorgeous and is feeding well.

Had a big tear so lots of stitches and very sore

Congratulations Stigaloid, I've been watching the thread hoping there would be an announcement from you soon! It's so nice not be pregnant anymore, going overdue is just the worst.

Hi and congratulations to all the new arrivals.

Am I the only pregnant one left? Or doe it just feel that way

Ended up spending most of yesterday in the hospitals assessment unit as I hadn't felt bump move for more than 12 hours or so. However, tracing showed all was fine with bump although I'm beginning to show signs of pre-eclampsia and am having to be monitored daily until they decide whether to induce me or not.

One the plus side they gave me another sweep yesterday and I was about 3 cm dilated and bump has been bouncing around like a nutter ever since. Fingers crossed that something starts soon (am almost certain things will kick off tonight as my DB is flying back to Stavanger this afternoon having been back home for a fortnight - typical!!)

I had PE when I had DS and was showing signs again this time. It all clears up very quickly once baby is here. Hope it all happens for you soon.

Very of your DB - I wanted to visit Norway this summer as I have friends from Stavanger but was too pregnant...maybe next year

Poor Toby has a snotty nose, sneezing and coughing....... and I thought breast fed babies didnt get poorly. POor little mite.... my dp has been ill and refusing to see a doc hoping it will go away on own.... that was 2.5 weeks ago..... he has now successfully given ds it even though he has been sleeping on the sofa and getting a good nights sleep!!!!!!! Oh well!!!! He did however sleep from 7pmish till 1.30am ish last night so I wont moan too much yet xxx

Hi all you lovely mummys Hope you're all doing well and having fun with your babies. I am doing good Baby Emily doing great...could cry all day I feel so happy! She is feeding well and sleeping well (I'm sure my bubble will burst soon but I'm enjoying it while it lasts)

Just wanted to congratulate all the new arrivals, can't believe pregnancy journey is over now but so pleased with result.

I would also like to wish all those mummys still waiting the best of luck and hope you don't have to wait too long now
