Agree on missing the bump - I'd got used to that!

I have a 4yr & 2yr old as well (plus others)It's hard work as my dd age 2 is in the 'no' phase! Good luck & best wishes.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 20/12/2009 19:58

Well finally got there in the end.
Woke up about 5ish this morning realising the contractions were alot closer together. Got into hospital at about 6:30am and had Elizabeth at 7:43am. Weighing in at 7lb 11 and a half oz! Am still overwhelmed at how quick it went and no time for any Pethidine, which was a shame! Meant I was very much aware of the whole birth process this time round. It felt very unreal because I didnt think I had enough time to get my head around the fact that I needed to start pushing! Last time I had a nice big build up!
LaDiDaDi I to am feeling very much detatched right now, so youre not alone there.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 20/12/2009 19:59

Ahh sorry, Forgot to congratulate all the other new mums!!

Stigaloid · 20/12/2009 21:03

Congrats Amazing

Still nothing here Am getting quite despondent that i will have a Christmas baby. I really don't want to be in hospital for Christmas.

Scorps · 20/12/2009 21:46

Congrats everyone!!

Well my husband has left me. I'm due in 5 days! Anyway I have a big thread on here in relationships with relate in te title; he will be here for a few weeks then it's me alone with 4dc. I'm ok, I have the best family so no sympathy today please ( it drags me down that's all). I'm going hour by hour.

LaDiDaDi · 20/12/2009 23:01

Scorps .

I wondered why we hadn't seen you about. I will look at your other thread.

I really want to offer hugs if they would be allowed??

Scorps · 20/12/2009 23:03

A hug is accepted

GoldenSnitch · 21/12/2009 07:47

Oh Scorps!!

madmissy · 21/12/2009 08:47

Finally ABF! Well done, are you on the ward now?
Scorps i'll send a hug too. How you feeling pg wise?
Stigaloid everything crossed!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 21/12/2009 11:23

Oh scorps, Im sorry but what an absolute bastard. Glad you have such nice family to help at this time.

Stig I am also keeping everything crossed that things will happen soon.

Missy, they didnt even let me on the ward! I was deprived of seeing all the other little babies. They kicked me out at 3:30. Just waiting for a phonecall to go back and get her looked over and to have my anti D.
1st night was ok. Glad I was at home for it.

Mybox · 21/12/2009 12:13

Many congratulations abf xxx

Sorry to hear your news scorps

lolianja · 21/12/2009 13:05

Scorps, hug from me too. What an arse.

Well I'm still here, 39 weeks tomorrow and the twins are just staying put. Also have a sweep tomorrow and am hoping against hope this will get things going, although the prospect of spending Xmas Day in hospital is not one i relish.

My almost-10-month-old son has a nasty chill, having managed to avoid catching one all season thus far... great timing!

Huge congrats to all those who've popped. Some lovely names.

BexJ78 · 21/12/2009 13:13

well done to all the newbies. Sending you a hug scorps. xxx

madmissy · 21/12/2009 13:18

ABF I went back for my anti d yesterday as midwife couldn't get out to me. Numb bum!

Claire236 · 21/12/2009 16:00

Congrats Amazing

Scorps - from what you've said about your dh think you'll be happier without him however hard it is to start with. Good luck although I'm sure you'll cope perfectly well on your own.

JoseyM · 21/12/2009 17:14

Hi All

Been watching this thread all the way through my pregnancy, for some reason i have come off of the list though...was due 25th Dec then got put back to 1st Jan.

Loved reading everything that has been going on. I saw midwife today (38 + 3) and she said head is 'well down' I've been teary all day and had quite a lot of period type pain for last three days but more today. I have convinced myself that this baby is gonna be late as it is my first all the way through and now i'm freaking out, i don't think it has quite sunk in that this is actually going to happen and i'm feeling really quite scared and don't know what to do with myself! DH is due home about 6.30 so i have pre warned him that i have become a complete wimp and will cry at anything today! I just hope it doesn't make an appearance early...i don't feel ready, eeek!

Scorps you are one strong little lady! I really admire you for your get on with it attitude, I'm sure things will be very up and down for you for some time but just remember all the ladies will be here ready with lots of support for you (not sympathy for now!!!) I really hope you can stay strong for all of your little ones, your a trooper xxx

jumblies · 21/12/2009 19:51

Just popped on to send a hug to scorps it is such shitty timing and I hope your family are giving you all the support you need. I always think you sound so intelligent and strong in you posts and just know that your DH will be the loser in all of this if he decides to leave you. You will survive this and emerge stronger...but I wish you didn't have to

I am still waiting to pop but since my bathroom has just sprung a leak (mid renovation) and I have no toilet! I am feeling quite stressed since I am supposedly having a homebirth soon...why do I think this isn't going to happen. I am off to pack my hospital bag just in case

Congratulations to all those who have had their babies.

Stigaloid · 21/12/2009 20:53

Big hugs to scorps

eeek to no toilet Jumblies - hope it gets sorted soon

Josey don't be scared - you will be fine and your DH will be a trooper. Good luck with it all and hope you have an easy and comfortable first birth experience.

I have now tried pretty much everything and still this little lady is staying put. Even had acupuncture today. Sigh - looks like Christmas Day is getting closer and closer and she isn't moving until she wants to. Am slightly gutted as always had in my mind i would be having a Saggtarian baby and looks like we are heading into Capricorn - best start reading up on them instead! lol!

Got Catherine checked over by the doctor today and he confirms that she is perfect

She's feeding really well too which I'm really pleased about cause I really struggled with DS at first.

She even slept for 3 hours straight last night in her own crib! which was bliss as I actually got to sleep properly myself!

Everything is going wonderfully and I feel like a very lucky new Mummy.

Hope all the other new Mums are doing just as well and all the awaitees get their babies soon...

JoseyM · 22/12/2009 14:06

Thank you Stigaloid!

Had quite an eventful night last night. Ended up calling my mum at 12.30pm as i was having contractions about every 10 mins. I could not believe it, think i am still at bit in denial that i will actually be having this little one!

Managed to get off to sleep for a few hours from 4am (i left DH in bed as he is a firefighter and had a day shift today) Mum stayed up with me just chatting which was lovely.

Nothing much today apart from lots of dull achy period type pain but contractions seemed to have eased off. Took the dog for a waddle in the snow with mum which made things ache more but nothing else.

Will watch this space just really wish i knew if it was all going to stop or if this really is the start i just don't know...we shall see...

theGreatPumpkin · 22/12/2009 16:59

Hi all, pleased to announce my lovely DD arrived on the 19th safe and well. Only just been discharged as she was badly jaundiced and has spent two days on the tanning bed . It was all very fast, waters broke at 4:10 pm and she was born at 5:40pm! Thank goodness it was the weekend and my husband was at home else would have been a bathroom floor job. My DS is less than impressed with a sister and keeps referring to her as 'he', he also asked me why babies don't have willies!

Best of luck to everyone still waiting or who have had ther babies x

Scorps · 22/12/2009 18:28

Still pg here, thank god really lol. Mw check today baby fine. I staye at my parents last night and am home now it's going ok.

Hey everyone. Just checking in.
Josie we had a bit of a purge of the list of names that hadnt been "active" towards the end so we had a better picture of who was where, sorry we got rid of you!!
Hope things get going soon for you I know how you feel with the stop start contractions, thats exactly how I was.

Little Elizabeth is doing really well. A little milk monster.

Hope all arrivals are doing well and thriving and all awaitees arnt suffering too much.

LaDiDaDi · 22/12/2009 20:04

Hello everyone, just wanted to let you all know that DS arrived as planned yesterday lunchtime by elective section. 6lbs 4oz and very cute. He is called Samuel Edward and we came home today at 5pm. So far he seems to be peeing, pooing and feeding fine though I do get a bit stressed about the feeding .

Congrats to theGreatPumpkin and I hope that we see some more arrivals before Santa comes!
