Zeeky my other thread is under 'behaviour & development' (don't know how to link to it, sorry!) but have basically decided to keep DS1 at nursery 2 days a week and put off pre-school until September when he'll be just 3. I think he'll have enough change going on in January with a new bedroom etc to contend with and then in April his little brother arriving, so will let him start pre-school in Sept. and bill it (thanks to nicnacinoonoo's brilliant suggestion) as somethign that only big boys do and that babies can't do etc.

If you want yours to go to nursery perhaps they'd let you stagger the hours so he starts off doing half a day then gradually make it longer. My DS started doing 10 til 3 then we gradually upped it until he's now doing 8:30 til 5pm and he loves it so much he doesn't want to come home!

Hi everyone! New to the board and MN was recommended by my big sister! #1 due on 22nd April, not finding out what it is we have both decided on a surprise however, the closer our scan gets the more tempted I am to ask

Hello everyone, well I have updated the list and I'm having a little boy, the scan was fab, I saw everything....although junior was lying funny and I had to go away for a walk and a cup of tea, luckily when I got back he had turned himself over and could see him sucking his thumb!!

Everything is fine and normal, also uterus is still heart-shaped but ok cause it's not that severe woo hoo!!

How is everyone else doing, any scans coming up on Monday?

hoops997 · 13/11/2009 21:32

hello again ladies, have put some scan pictures on my profile page for you all to look at

Lovely pics Hoops Congrats on your boy!

Welcome to Anny Hope you're keping well.

Hope everyone else is ok too.

nicnacinoonoo · 14/11/2009 08:58

aw what great pics hoops cant wait to see mine, scan is on thursday.

snowtiger you go to the page that you want a link to. then highlight the bit at the top that says www.mumsnet.com/talk/blahblahblah by right clicking on it. a little box will come up with 'copy' as an option. click on that.
then go to wherever you want to put the link, right click in it and select the 'paste' option. then on mumsnet you have to surround it with and to create the link.

hope that makes sense im not very good at explaining things ha.

cant wait until thursday its all i can think about. ill be gutted if i cant find out the sex for some reason. dh has got the day off work to go with me which means he can also come and watch ds at his swimming lesson after as he's never been before so excited about that as well ha im so sad!

nicnacinoonoo · 14/11/2009 09:01

oh no spaces inbetween the [[ and the link though

Neeko · 14/11/2009 09:12

Not sad nicnac - just a mum!

rumpleteaser · 14/11/2009 09:41

Hi everyone - I just looked at the massive list of all your dates! Loads of you!

I'm new to Mumsnet, I'm 18 wks tomorrow 1st baby.
I'm English but have been living in Bulgaria about a yr which is very strange.. docs don't speak english, no antenatal classes, no pain relief for birth, no scan photos.. not what I expected but I'm still loving pregnancy (now the sickness has mostly stopped!)
Coming back to UK in Feb with my BG partner for birth.. can't wait for a salt and vinegar crisp buttie and a doctor who talks to ME not my partner!

I joined the thread to see how everyone else is coping with pregnancy and offer/gain support as I'm feeling kinda 'out of it all' here! I don't know what's supposed to be happening and no-one to tell me! The internet is my midwife!

Sorry for long introductory post, hope I've not bored you all!

PrincessTweetz · 14/11/2009 10:35

Hello Rumpleteaser!! Are you staying in UK when u come back in Feb, or will you be returning to Bulgaria?
With such a blue thread, I'll be interested to see what names we all end up with, and what will end up being the most popular out of us...if any!!
I've also got a blocked ear & it's driving me bonkers!! I can hardly hear anything...I have to look at people to hear what thy're saying, and I struggled to hear when dd was upset last night! Makes me grateful to have good hearing.
Glad every1s scans are going well..I thought I'd lost this page again today, as it wasn't showing up on my posty page thing...I had to click into the very first thrad we were on, and then click a rtuff's name and find it on the posts there!! We've come sooo fr since the first thread ay...seems ages go we started on that!! Hope every1 has a good day , I'm off 2 clean up n make christmas cards!! x

BelfastBloke · 14/11/2009 11:24

Morning Rumpleteaser. If you know your due date, cut and paste the list into a new message, and include yourself within it.

Hoping we'll have another girl, as we have no idea what to call a boy. We'll find out in a couple of weeks, then immediately go on holiday. So names will dominate our holiday.

Hi, thanks for welcoming me!
After birth of baby we will be going back to BG. That is the plan anyway! Hoping my dates are accurate as can't fly after 36 weeks pregnant!
It's exciting to see everyone finding out the sex of babies, this being Bulgaria, I don't have an appointment for scans or anything so I'm planning to turn up at the hospital soon demanding to know the sex of my bump!

I'm a lil' worried as swine flu jabs aren't available here til after new yr.. god knows why, but it's a niggle in back of my mind.

Off to a Bulgarian wedding now, I will probably fall asleep shortly after the bride and groom do their dance with a cooked chicken!

I'm adding meself to the massive list!

Dance with a cooked chicken, whats that all about?

Congrats on your scan Hoops. It is getting quite exciting and scary now isn't it?

My flutterings are turning into proper kicks now and I'm starting to feel like I'm actually having a baby!

Snowtiger · 14/11/2009 17:59

Welcome rumple and thanks Nic you technical genius you .

We're decorating DS1's bedroom this weekend so he can move in there and make room for DS2 when he moves into the nursery next summer. Doesn't seem five minutes since we were decorating the nursery for DS1! Weird...!

Having strange feelings and movements in the tummy but not proper kicks yet... wonder if and when it'll ever dawn on me that I'm having another baby. Still all feels very surreal.

Hope everyone's feeling well and having a good weekend, congrats on your scan Hoops!

hoops997 · 14/11/2009 19:16

hi everyone, yeah it feels real now but my little kicks are muffled cause I have an anterior placenta so mini-hoops is kicking the hell out of that!!

Our list is continuing to grow which is fab, welcome to all the newcomers

I bought baby a little blanket today, it was half price in Boots, a bargain!!

Hope everyone else is fab and feeling great

stinkypinky · 16/11/2009 08:28

Well the winter vomiting bug has reached my little scottish town Been up since midnight surrounded (and at times covered) by puke from dd, plus combined with continuing ms, I am not a happy bunny
She is on dioralyte now as even water is coming back to say 'hi'.
Must get a put-up bed for her room as it is not nice trying to sleep on the floor at 18 weeks.
Off work to care for her (every cloud...)

Bettymum · 16/11/2009 10:06

Hope your DD gets better soon stinky
Mine was sick yesterday too...but that was because she'd just downed a huge gulp of the fairy liquid stuff out of her bottle of bubbles . She started foaming at the mouth and then puked it back up. I'm hoping that means she won't try it again...
Arm has fully recovered after the swine jab but now I've caught a cold so feeling a bit rotten.
Welcome Rumple wow I'm glad I don't live in Bulgaria if they don't give you any pain relief in childbirth! And do tell us about the cooked chicken dance .

nicnacinoonoo · 16/11/2009 11:54

welcome rumple

my ds is poorly at the moment too. just a cold i think though. he's got a bad cough and a runny nose. yesterday had a temp and a tummy ache but today there's no temp and he seems quite happy in himself so not too bad. just know that ill have it in a few days though.

wrapped nearly all of his christmas presents just need to do everyone elses now.

ThePhantomPlopper · 16/11/2009 13:49

welcome rumple.

Just had a letter from the hospital through, 20 week scan has been put back by 2 bloody weeks! Grr.

DD has slapped cheek and I'm off for blood tests to make sure I'm immune, if not I've got problems.

AND DH's deployment in Iraq has been extended and he's not due back until the middle of April!!!

ARGH!! Bad week!

Feel better for that rant, hope everyone is feeling OK, sorry to hear about poorly DC's, horrid isn't it?!

I can now feel kicks on the outside, was sat in bed last night feeling baby poking a leg or arm out, was lovely.

Has anyone used or heard anything about the 'Babystyle Oyster'? Was going to get a Bugaboo, but have seen this and it looks great, not to mention £300 cheaper. It's out of stock every where ATM though.

miceju · 16/11/2009 14:33

Hi everyone! can I join? new to MN and due with #1 21st of April. Next scan is 30th of Nov so well excited and hoping to find out the sex - fingers crossed

rumpleteaser · 16/11/2009 15:33

At Bulgarian weddings the best man and woman dance around with a chicken, the chicken is dressed in a wedding dress and people have to put money in it.. I have no idea why but it's pretty entertaining! I managed to stay up til midnight as well, so chuffed with myself!

Thank you for all the welcomes, it's such a relief to speak to and hear everyone all experience this at the same time!
Though phantomplopper, hope your bad week is a one off.
And hope all your current kidlings get well soon, I can't imagine dealing with puking kids while feeling pukey myself.. you are brave ladies! Think I'd leave it to DP.

I want to feel my bump moving! If I lie on my back and hold my breath and poke my belly I get bubbles but I'm still not certain if this is gas or not!
My other half talks to baby through my bellybutton (in a strange combo of English and Bulgarian that I like to call 'Bunglish'. Poor baby!)
