A 4th baby for me is what I hope, however having had 5 eary miscarriages (4 in the last year), I am not sure if I will be here for long or not. I truly hope that I will. My first DS was a July baby, I remember it like it was yesterday, even though it was actually 6 years ago. I also have a DD and a second DS who is just 18 months old.

I look forward to getting to know you all.

Whoops just looked it up online instead of my pregnancy book and it says due 15th July, although even stranger the mn calculator puts it at the 13th.... However since all mine have been early so far, if I make it til then it might well be a June baby!!!!

latestincarnation · 01/11/2009 17:21

Hello willitbe, I think many of us can empathise with you - hopefully we can see a more definate namechange over the next few weeks?!! May be "OMGyesitis"

We all seem to be in the mad hormonal rollercoaster of first trimester - so watch out - especially for Gibbon and her smileys

I now have a ds who has not eaten properly for 2 days, and though the vomiting has stopped ages ago, the diarrhoea has just started.

I do not recommend this bug to anyone - hypersensitive sense of smell and nausea do not mix with the worse nappies in the world

FlowerBee · 01/11/2009 18:47

Hello girls, sorry been awol staying at in-laws at the moment, and my mother-in-law is thrilled with the news and has been recounting all the details of the births of her two sons....!!

Sorry to hear that your little one is poorly latest, and i know what you mean about the smells. My dear MIL opened a bag of gone-off lettuce and i felt green to the gills.

Welcome willitbe fingers crossed for you. Am also not really trying to acknowledge the 'baby' at the moment and only at 12 weeks will i believe this is actually happening.

Have GP appt booked for the 16th. Not sure whether that is too late but is the first i could get!! Probably will have the swine flu vacc but feel i need more info on it.

Mumfie so sweet to hear your DH went on a bracing walk. My DH is finally coming round to the idea and has been a lot more loving since we've been with his folks. Finally!!!

Celery · 01/11/2009 19:49

Good luck willitbe, I hope this one sticks for you.

My god I feel so green. I don't know why I feel so surprised. It's been the same all three other times, and each time I've said "never again". Worst bit about the whole pregnancy/childbirth thing, as far as I'm concerned. Thankfully the children are back to school tommorrow, so I can lie on the sofa with my eyes shut concentrating on not vomiting for most of the day.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 01/11/2009 21:25

Oo I hate having no motiviation! There is SO much that needs doing in the house but I expect by the time I get back from taking dd to pre school I'll spend the 2 hours I have til I pick her up sat on my arse with the laptop! Ergh. Need some energy!

Also, don't know about anybody else, but i've been a bit nervous about the old marital relations since getting the bfp. To be frank, dh is gagging for it now but I'm still worried. I guess I'll have to get on with it - he won't wait til Christmas!!
This happened with dd as well, total loss of sex drive.

welcome willitbe, fingers crossed this is a sticky bean for you. I like latest's suggestion of a namechange!

omg latest that sounds vile. You have my sympathies. I sincerely hope dd doesn't bring it home from pre school.

yay flower my mil loves telling me about how all her three children arrived into the world! btw, I'm having #2 and I still got it this time around!

oh celery you have got it bad. I'm not feeling sick at the mo, which is starting to worry me.... I am very dizzy though so I suspect my blood pressure has hit "dead" level.

WhatSheSaid · 02/11/2009 06:18

Hello, just popping in today to say I think I'll be joining you...I got a bfp today, very faint, so I'm going to take another tomorrow a.m. to make sure. I have one dd and today is her second birthday!

I'm almost in shock to be pg as we've been trying for about 15 months and I was just starting to think it would never happen and I should just be happy with the one child I already have. I had just started applying for jobs after 2 years as a SAHM...not sure if I will keep applying now. The extra money would be very handy. Still getting used to the idea of being pg, doesn't seem real - only got the bfp 6 hours ago.

I haven't been to dr yet but reckon my due date is around the 8th July. I'll add myself to your list

I'm in a different time zone to you all, in NZ, so if I appear to be talking about different times of the day to you, that's why!

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 02/11/2009 07:49

Morning all, welcome willitbe! loving LC's name change suggestion in a few weeks, am thinking of you and keeping everything crossed.

Hope your DS is feeling better LC, sounds like an awful bug

Flower I am so pleased your MIL visit has helped your DH come out of his total shock phase and giggling at the blow by blow birthing accounts

Celery - sorry you are feeling so poorly, it's the most dreadful feeling. Like WWSW I am a tad worried I have not had that yet as with DD I had it from 4-5 weeks till nearly 6 months, not sure why none so far this time, though I know I should be happy not to be feeling so rough at the moment.

Welcome whatshesaid! how wonderful to get your BFP after ttc for so long! my first test was faint too, sure the next one will be stronger and Happy Birthday to your DD!

Phew that was an essay, am waiting to hit post to see how smiley happy I got

Have a good day all

Mouseybrown · 02/11/2009 09:26

Morning ladies!

Welcome whatshesaid and willitbe and hope your little lad is on the mend LC.

Hope you all had a good weekend, we did nothing at all because I've had raging toothache since friday night and can't get a dentists appt 'til tmw . Worry about tooth has eclipsed worry about being pg!!

GibbonInARibbon · 02/11/2009 10:44

ouch MB, toothahe is awful hope tomorrow and the relief it will bring comes quickly for you.

latestincarnation · 02/11/2009 11:57

Hi everyone! DS starting to eat again - but now I'm the one V-ing ARGH!! It is a horrid bug, bloody nursery

mouseybrown I hope they get your tooth sorted very soon - you must be in agony!

GibbonInARibbon · 02/11/2009 15:43

Oh LC! hope you are feeling better soon, make sure you rest, glad DS is on the mend.

I made appointment with GP today, 'tis on Friday

WhatSheSaid · 02/11/2009 17:35

Just did another test, line is thin but definitely there!

Off to the dr today as I am on medication for high blood pressure so have to check if I carry on or switch to different ones. Also to find out what I do about my LMC - here in NZ everyone has a Lead Maternity Carer when they are pg - one person, usually a midwife, who they see all the way through the pg and is with them during the birth and does the after care too (visits at home for a few weeks after the birth). Usually people have a midwife who is based in teh community, not in a hospital but because of my blood pressure I may have to be under a team of mmidwives and docs at the hospital. WIll find out today.

Hope everyone is feeling OK. Toothache sounds yuk, MB.

I too dug out a pg book last night, I can't remember anything about it...

WhatSheSaid · 02/11/2009 17:37

Oh and I was awake half the night thinking of all sorts of things, even started to think about names! Think I've ruled out Kai Wayne though

ApuskiDusky · 02/11/2009 17:58

Hi willitbe and WhatSheSaid, congratulations! (I'm joining in with bold names now we have grown a bit more!)

Latest, really sorry that you've got the bug now, I hope you're not feeling too miserable. And Mousey, nightmare with the tooth, especially with having to think about what painkillers are OK. Hope it gets resolved at the dentist tomorrow.

I've had a bit of a rubbish day - I'm meant to be having a study day (doing a diploma at the moment, great timing!) but I've been feeling really emotional for some reason, and more sick than before. And most significantly - I'VE GONE OFF CHOCOLATE , you have to know me to know how significant this is! Actually, all dairy stuff is making me queasy at the moment, I can't eat cereal or yogurt. So it's porridge or toast for breakfast for now.

Celery · 02/11/2009 18:37

I suddenly twigged why I may be feeling extra sick these last few days. I've been taking pregnancy vitimins, and the day I started taking them was the day the sickness went up a gear. I remember in a previous pregnancy, the same thing happened. Of course, I may well just have bad MS, but I'm going to stop taking them for a couple of days and see if it helps.

willitbe · 02/11/2009 19:23

Celery - I remember my preg vitamins make me sick too, so just taking folic acid this time (oh as well as the asprin I have to take)

Apski - oh no, it is horrible going off chocolate, that is just not fair for you!

latest - hope your family are feeling better today. not easy being pg and people around you sick. Also thank you for the suggeseted name change - will have to be!!

gibbon you are slacking on the 's

I am getting loads of cramps and back-ache. I get it each time but this time it is very bad, I nearly want to put a tens machine on... of course I won't but it is very uncomfortable. I have booked to see GP tomorrow, to get referral to EPU for early tests.

Irishfairy · 02/11/2009 20:48

Hi everyone can I join please?

It's very comforting to see other people going through the same thing especially since I am keeping it secret from everyone except DH and my mum (who doesn't live in the same country).

This is my first pregnancy, DH and I were both quite shocked when it happened the first month of trying, really thought it would take longer but am very happy but also scared something will go wrong. Going to see the doctor in the morning... hoping all will be well.

Been feeling very pg today, boobs gone massive and so sensitive and tender. Am normally a 34D but have been wearing an E and that felt too tight today Also had metallic taste for the first time today... been starving all the time for a week now and have had headaches, dizziness and very very tired. Not feeling sick yet, but it's early days! In a way it's comforting to have the symptoms, I feel like then the little bean must still be sticking on right?

Anyway sorry if this seems waffley, feeling overtired today and also such a relief to chat about these things to people who understand. DH tries his best bless him but has no idea really

If I could be added to the list that'd be great!

Hello irishfairy! welcome you've got some great symptoms there lol. Glad you're also having boob issues, I've gone up 2 sizes already and I'm terrified at how big they might get. I'm normally a B cup, but when feeding dd they were a scary GG! argh. PS pg brain already too? You are due in July, right?

mousy and latest hope you are both feeling better?

hope the dr appt went well whatshesaid I've got mine on Thursdday morning and this week is draaaaaginnnggg coz I'm so excited!

Still having blood pressure problems and so tired. Slightly concerned that the nausea has stopped. Hmm. Didn't get any til 6 wks with dd so I'm wondering if it's just going to build up for 10 days time!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 02/11/2009 21:54

sorry mousey didn't mean to mangle your name

Irishfairy · 02/11/2009 21:58

Haha thanks WWSW yes I meant July! Wish I could blame being pregnant but my brain tends to be like that all the time

WickedWitchSouthWest · 02/11/2009 22:03

lol brilliant! Btw, you do know it gets worse? Just been chatting to a good friend of mine who is due her first in May and she was having trouble working out how much a customer owed her. It was 49p. She couldn't do it and nearly cried! Mind you, I broke someone's pension when pg with dd and had to get the whole thing deleted and redone so we should all be thankful that I'm not working at the moment!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 02/11/2009 22:05

Confused (not hard ). MN due date calendar says 4 July, but every other site says 6 July. Wha?

Irishfairy · 02/11/2009 22:10

I have the same problem with due dates, it is either 7th or the 5th as some sites are giving... hopefully the doctor might be able to give me an accurate date tomorrow.

at the brain getting worse, that won't be pretty... it might already be happening, I've be saying things backwards for a few days now but luckily I work with children so they just find it funny and laugh

WickedWitchSouthWest · 02/11/2009 22:20

irishfairy saying things backwards is impressive! I just can't remember any words at all now Problem is, this time round I had a steady 31 day cycle, I know when I got a positive opk so I should be able to pinpoint an edd quite easily! Seeing mw thurs so hopefully she'll help me out too. Glad I'm not the only one getting different dates! Added to that the BBC site said that a pregnancy test might be positive today, hello?! It was positive nearly 2 weeks ago!

Oh and never ever say "I'm not getting nausea" coz I've had wave after wave since typing that last message.

Is anybody else getting a thumping heart feeling too? Or is that all to do with my blood pressure?
