WickedWitchSouthWest · 04/11/2009 20:44

beaufies all perfectly normal I think! I picked dd up earlier, then had a sharp twinge so sat and cried.... At least it's not just you!

latest gosh well you never know our paths may have crossed! . Yes, your mum probably has guessed, mums are a bit odd like that!

Mmm I've got some tuna pasta bake on the go with garlic bread and I'm starvine (despite the bag of BBQ Rib crisps I just scoffed!)

GibbonInARibbon · 04/11/2009 20:44

Phew that you saw my post LC was worried you would go away for the weekend and not see it. Try and enjoy it and I am sure you will feel better after telling your mum, the build up is the worst bit for me when I feel like that

I have been hormonal too and worried about everything, I keep telling myself I was the same with DD and to try and relax.

Glad the docs went well random I am looking forward to making it offical on Friday

Am off to bed now, take care all

GibbonInARibbon · 04/11/2009 20:47

Oh WWSW I picked up DD had the same and had a panic so I know how you feel x

WickedWitchSouthWest · 04/11/2009 21:10

phew! we are all hormonal aren't we! I nearly threw a threenager tantrum to rival my dd's earlier when she was determined not to let me sit down!

oo yellow, hadn't really considered it since the room which will become the nursery was a vile almost luminous yellow when we moved in! A nice buttermilk type colour would be good tho Trying NOT to look at nursery stuff and prams at the mo....

Oh I'm fed up of my slightly snotty nose! But so looking forward to seeing the mw tomorrow

gibbon who are you telling on Friday? What can't I remember?!

ApuskiDusky · 04/11/2009 22:00

Hello hello, this has all got busy since I was last here! Just a quick post because I'm going to bed and DH needs to do the online shopping, but if I don't post now, there'll be another 30 posts by this time tomorrow!

I told someone at work today - not my boss, that's not going to be straightforward so I'm postponing that - because I wanted someone there to know what was going on (and she guessed last time as well!). And I'm going to have to tell some friends at the weekend - we're staying at theirs and they just aren't going to buy the antibiotics excuse.

It feels like after last week of utterly obsessing about pregnancy, I've now largely forgotten about it - things are quite busy, but I am definitely less obsessed than I was.

Anyhow, hope everyone keeps calm, feels healthy, and is pampered by those around them!

ApuskiDusky · 05/11/2009 06:50

Morning! I'm sitting on a train feeling rough. I have just located the toilet just in case, and I'm praying someone will come past with a tea service soon!

GibbonInARibbon · 05/11/2009 07:35

Oh Apuski, I do hope that tea service comes soon and helps you feel better, nausea is just awful isn't it. Have a lovely weekend with your friends and my pals would see straight through the ol' anti b line too

Have docs tomorrow WWSW, will feel offical afterwards

Been awake since 4.30 could not get back to sleep, it's driving me insane this insomnia.

Have a good day all

WhatSheSaid · 05/11/2009 07:39

Apuski, when I was pg with dd I had to get off the bus halfway to work one day as I was so sure I was going to barf over my fellow passengers. Normally I just felt sick - I was only actually sick twice - but I think the motion of the bus didn't help. Every time I now drive past that bus stop I remember having to get off very quickly!

Hope you're feeling better soon.

yesway · 05/11/2009 10:05

Hi everyone.
Please can I join you.
I had a BFP - well actually a weedy faint P - this morning.
I should have been suspicious because my back has been aching a lot the last couple of weeks - but I haven't felt at all pregnant otherwise. Irritatingly my dh decided I must be pregnant about 1dpo because I was in a foul mood....
I'm quite pissed off that he was right - but on the plus side feel I now have carte blanch to behave badly for 9 months!

I'm due 12th but it'll be an elective section this time so will be earlier.

Our 2nd summer born - but at least it saves us a year of extra childcare!

Hope you're all ok. I have a tooth that's still pounding and terrible period type pain that makes me feel sick at random intervals but am fine apart from that. Got through a client meeting this morning and feel relieved not to have felt sick.

A friend came round last night and found my 'what to expect' book- despite repeated denials he really wasn't buying it and I had to come clean. Didn't really want anyone to know this early- haven't really accepted it myself!! Hey ho...

NorkyStrokesMice · 05/11/2009 12:57

Afternoon all!

I had my first feeling of nausea on the train earlier - luckily some chocolate helped alleviate it

I saw my company doctor today (ongoing medical issues) and told him I was pregnant - he looked appalled and said "Noooooo" - not exactly the response I was hoping for when I tell people!

We're not planning on telling anyone else (friends or family) till Xmas, as I'll be 11 weeks then. I've made an appt to see my GP next Friday, so hopefully she'll let me know what I need to do!

GibbonInARibbon · 05/11/2009 13:12

Welcome yesway and WinterMadness and congrats!

What a charming doctor you have there Norky well we are all thrilled for you Telling people around Christmas here too though some close friends already know.

Have had a couple of waves of nausea today so wondering if the MS is starting or just my imagination?

lazyemma · 05/11/2009 17:24

Hello! Can I join in? Did a first response test on Monday morning, which after much tilting and squinting, seemed to show a faint line, so faint I couldn't be sure it was there at all. But tested again today and a much clearer line came up. I'm due July 13th, but that seems a very very long way away.

We're not telling anyone in "real life" for a good while apart from one good friend and my mum. Last time (with my daughter B, now 2 1/2) we were so excited we told the world by about 7 weeks, which meant an even more anxious wait (w/numerous pregnancy tests) until my scan at 13 weeks. Not making the same mistake again. This time I'm going to try to be much more chilled out about the whole business.

Symptoms: cramp-tastic! Not painful though, and I remember them from last time so not too alarmed. And quite sore norks.

GibbonInARibbon · 05/11/2009 18:26

Welcome lazyemma and congrats!

Hello

New to this site. Found out last week that I was pregnant for the first time, following a successful first attempt on IVF. Completely shocked as we expected the worst!

No symptoms, although I've had a really sore back for a couple of weeks, very light spotting, and slight butterfly feeling in my uterus. Am tempted to another pg test as I just can't believe I feel this normal.

Anyway I think I'm due round about July 7th.

Good luck to all teh ladies on here

GibbonInARibbon · 05/11/2009 20:29

Oh congrats sleb! how wonderful for you

Still has not sunk in with me yet as no real symptoms except sheer exhaustion and eating like a woman possessed

MumfieMagic · 05/11/2009 20:34

Anyone else just eaten their own body weight in pasta?

ApuskiDusky · 05/11/2009 20:44

Evening! Well, I'm not long back from my exciting day out of the office, and managed to avoid throwing up in the train both ways. I had to resort to my emergency supply of malted milk biscuits however - I now carry them with me wherever I go! I am knackered now, though, so have taken to my bed whilst DH cooks dinner.

Welcome to sleb1 (congrats on success with first IVF!), LazyEmma, yesway and Wintermadness!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 05/11/2009 21:40

Evening all!

Welcome newbies! Look at our stats now!

Had another busy day - my mum can't drive at the mo due to back problems so I'm ferrying her about and doing her shopping etc. Well last night her guinea pig died (ok, technically my sister's piggie but seeing as she lives 200 miles away....!)so I had a bit of driving to do today, combined with a clingy and naughty dd who wanted to be carried everywhere I'm feeling bloody shattered and a bit crampy now

However I have seen my midwife! She remembered my dd and could not believe it was over 4 years ago she was booking me in before! Got given shed loads of leaflets and lectures about my hilariously low blood pressure - 100 over 55 oops. I've discovered I can keep the nausea at bay by eating contantly so that's what I've done today .

Waiting to hear when I have a dating scan (guessing it will be the week we're on holiday as that would be sods law) and my full booking in is 8 December

Feel very excited now!

mumfie I was cooking a delicious and wholesome veggie chilli but was so starving I left it cooking and shoved a pizza in the oven . I had tea with dd earlier too Oh well, at least dinner is made for tomorrow night though!!
