Diege · 27/11/2009 17:52

Hi TINKS! Yes, glad Sat is nearly here too: has been a long week!
Well there is a very small corner of my dining room that is marginally clear. I really can't believe that this time next week we will be in the new house! I mean, how on earth is everything going to get oacked up in time (not thinking about the unpacking just yet).
Wishing everyone a good Friday night. Do you remember when Friday nights were Friday nights? . Never mind, I'm A Celebrity and double Corrie will have to suffice.

tinkisnotlongtillchristmas · 28/11/2009 08:44

morning

not long now diege good luck with packing sure it will be fine
i enjoyed enders and celebrity

off to clarks

have gd weekends

Diege · 28/11/2009 09:24

Morning! Enjoy Clark's TINKS
DD3 well enough to be uo and out today so I'm taking all 3 dds to the xmas fair at lunch. Funny how the thought of all 3 on my own a year ago in a crowded fair would bring me out in a sweat, but now not having the pram with me makes it seem relatively easy...sure I'm tempting fate!
This afternoon it's more packing, and dh is goinbg round to the new house to supervise the man coming to measure up for the carpets. Really need to get cracking on the packing now!
Hope everyone has a good weekend

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 28/11/2009 09:28

Lovely shoes TINKS (I LOVE those boots). Your coat is great too (lovely colour).
Back from the fayre; very good one and dds did well on the tombola which is always a relief . They're having a 'cinema afternoon' now (basically just to give us some packing space) and have crisps at the ready.
Very quiet on here on here today!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 28/11/2009 14:13

afternoon.

Tink- nice shoes- my fave are the boots.

Diege- it's a cinema day here too with ben 10 film this AM, just finished HSM1 and on HSM2 now- will be HSM3 after this!!

I made a lovely cheese & tomato puff pastry tart for lunc- and somehow managed to finish the lot between me and the DC's!! DD2 even had a go at some of it!! However to ease the guilt we only had fruit afterwards!!

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 28/11/2009 15:47

I think we are living in paralell universe today CANT . Just finished off a cheese and tomato pizza with the dds and put film no.2 on (Finding Nemo). Crisps for pudding so no redemption. We have uncovered a load of old videos so while the packed box is looking increasingly depleted, the dds are happy. Ds doesn't know what's hit him..he's staring wide eyed at the TV and furiously banging one leg up and down to get the bouncer to work
Looking forward to x-factor tonight after I've done the nits again

Kayzr · 28/11/2009 16:55

Evening,

Just been to see the xmas lights get switched on. Dipstick here didn't bother take the doubles kit as DS1 was full of beans. Ended up having to put DS1 in the pushchair and carry DS2 around. I decided to text my brother to get him to carry DS2 home as there was no way I could carry DS2 and push the buggy.

DS1 is fast asleep now so not sure if I should wake him for some dinner or just let him sleep a bit.

DS2 is currently meant to be eating his sandwich(we had a big meal at lunch as DH is at work tonight) but he is sticking it to his head and throwing it on the floor.

Hope everyone is ok.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 28/11/2009 17:34

Kayz- sticking a buttie to the head is the way it's supposed to be done- didn't you know that???? haha!!

HSM3 just finishing now... DC's finally let me escape and check my emails!!

Kayzr · 28/11/2009 17:41

It was so funny to watch. Tempted to put him to bed early as he hasn't really had any naps today and he looks exhausted.

OP posts:
Kayzr · 28/11/2009 17:47

The lights were ok. Wouldn't have gone if I had known DS1 was going to fall asleep as we only went so he could see Santa.

Not sure what to do with DS1. Might just get him ready for bed and take him up.

OP posts:
RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 28/11/2009 18:15

I'd just put him to bed I think Kayz.
DD3 bad again, temp 39.4 Really wish I hadn't taken her out today as she obviously needed a few extra days to recover. Sure she's on the mend but seems a nasty bug she's had.

essenceofSES · 28/11/2009 19:12

Hello!

LOL at tumbleweed soccer

Kay - was there anyone famous switching on the lights? Did you put DS1 to bed in the end?!

Diege - like your Christmas name
Yes! This time next week, you'll be in your dream home
Sorry DD3's temperature is back. It's difficult to know whether to stay in and rest up or go out for something to brighten the day.
New mattresses sound bliss!

Cant - wow! What a HSM marathon!

Tink - loving the colour of that coat!

DS had a rough night last night with his cold but hasn't been too bad today. He's just gone to sleep in his cot and I'm hoping for an uninterrupted evening of Strictly and XFactor...

This morning we went off to our local farm for their Christmas market. Bought a few bits and ordered our turkey. Also introduced DS to pigs, cows, ducks, chickens and a couple of turkeys!

Then this afternoon, DH entertained DS whilst watching the rugby and I thoroughly dusted and hoovered upstairs, packed away a few more of DS's clothes and a bit of a general tidy up!

Kayzr · 28/11/2009 19:20

Wallace and Gromit switched on the lights. We usually have heartbeat actors so it was nice to have someone else.

DS1 is in bed. He went up at 7 in the end as we had a cuddle on the sofa.

Just been chatting to a friend I met up with at the light switch on. Her DD is a few weeks older than DS1 and she is a gorgeous girl. Her Dad(use that word loosely) doesn't see her. Well they saw him in town today and he just completely ignored her. I just can't understand how he can ignore such a wonderful, friendly little girl. Plus she knows he is her dad and she doesn't understand why he ignores her

IDOBisamummy · 28/11/2009 19:32

Hi all,

Diege - hope DD3 is better in the morning and good luck with all the packing. I'm sure the move will be well worth the effort, the new place sounds great.

Can't - How is DD1's leg today? Mmm, that puff pastry tart sounds lovely. Are you sure there aren't any leftovers?

Kay - LOL at DS2 wearing his sandwich.

Tink - the coat is lovely and those boots are fab, they look so cosy!

I've had a lovely afternoon with some friends who came over to York to do some xmas shopping. We went out for lunch and had a good catch up as we hadn't seen them in ages. DD is still feeding constantly - she has a permanent round podgy full tummy - so it was nice to escape the sofa for a while with her.
I expressed 3oz of milk this morning and we thought we'd try her with a bottle (getting ready to leave her with my parents at xmas so we can go for a night out ). I wasn't sure she would take it but she wolfed it down in less than 2 min so no worries there . There are def advantages to her being so hungry, she doesn't care where it comes from as long as she is fed!

IDOBisamummy · 28/11/2009 19:34

Hi Ses - x-posted. Hope DS is feeling better this evening. You are so good, when DP is entertaining DD I usually go for a long bath or sneak back to bed for a bit!

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 28/11/2009 19:51

Evening! SES that does sound a busy day, esp the hoovering bit! Like IDOB I would be tempted to have a read on the bed/soak in the bath, so all credit for the housework!
IDOB, sounds like dd is feeding like a dream; must be very satisfying. Bet you're looking forward to your xmas night out. How is York at the moment? Are the Ice sculptures out yet?
KAYZ, that's sas about your friend's little girl. Bad enough not to know her dad, but to know him and be ignored is heartbreaking .
DD3 in bed now, carried her up fast asleep. If she had a temp I'll put her in bed with me and kick dh onto the sofa as from past experience if she wakes feeling poorly in her own bed it she'll never settle there. Just hope the vomiting doesn't return!
Hoping to get a few hours respite for X-factor and the jungle. Am totally shattered - it's surprising how packing boxes takes it out of you

essenceofSES · 28/11/2009 20:22

IDOB - C sounds like O. He doesn't care where his milk comes from just as long as he gets it! V lucky as I have a couple of friends whose DC won't take a bottle at all.

Diege - I hope for your sake that there is no more vomit and DD3 settles.
Packing is suprisingly tiring. I remember when we moved here, I was about 10 wks pg and feeling sick and it was such a struggle. Fortunately DH was sympathetic and did most of it.

Kay - that is really sad about your friend's DD. I struggle to understand how anyone can cut ties with their DC.

Well we've had a lovely homemade curry (thanks to DH ) and watched Strictly. Now time for XFactor! We've sky+ed it so can forward through the ads

bumpsnowjustplump · 28/11/2009 22:11

Evening all. I have had a lovely day today. We dropped dp off at his brothers this morning as he is having a boys night toningt and I took the children to brewsters for lunch. We were there 3 hours and althought i hate the place usually i had a lovely afternoon watching them play and eat.... I then spent the evening playing with them before putting them both to bed and opening a bottle of bubbles...

I miss spending time with Jessica and it was lovely today....

Owen has never and still will not take a bottle.. He does drink water from his tt cup now but if you put milk in it he flatly refuses to drink it...

Hope you are all ok

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 29/11/2009 09:12

Morning . Bad night again with dd3, but she does seem much better again this morning so will make she she gets lots of rest today.
Enjoyed x-factor last night - thought Joe was great. I got an e-mail from an old friend who was actually a contestant in BBc's Joseph programme and he says that everyone's talking about him (Joe) in the industry.Bet he'll get a role in theatre as soon as x-factor over. Also liked Olly's second song but thought Lloyd very weak.
More packing today and just getting through to bedtime really. Have been awake since 3.15am and feel bleughhhhh..
Good to hear from you BUMPS - sound a lovely day
