IDOB- good going on nights!!

Kayz- my boots are fab... they feel dead comfy too- not that i've worn them out of the house yet. DH said i can have them before xmas if i want... but i'm gonna save them i think!!

Lightening- what a PITA about the table and chairs!!

Hi everyone else- and to those who asked about DD1 (ses & IDOB?) she's still not really walking any better... i'm just not sure what to do now...

Moosy just wondered how your bump is doing this morning... Not long now... Really excited for you...

Thanks ses for a lovely day yesterday it was so nice to meet everyone and their little ones...

Bad night last night again.... damn those teeth....

Hooray - another good night with DD . We did bath, change and feed at 8 again so she was in bed for 9 then she woke for a quick feed at 3am and 6.30 and we got up at 7. She is a little angel!

Right, I'm off to do some quick internet shopping before DP gets up to work and needs to switch his router on. See you all this evening.

Morning,

Lightening, Nice to hear from you. That is mad about the table and chairs. It happened the other way round to a friend of ours. She had 6 chairs but no table and it took 6 weeks for the table to arrive.

Diege, Hope you get all the packing finished. I hate moving, if I could I would pay someone to come in and do it all for me.

Cant, I love those boots! I saw someone yesterday wearing a similar pair but with more buckles and I have been searching the internet for some but not seen any I really like.

Suonds like you had a lovely meet up. We'll have to do another York one in the new year.

Moos, I am so excited for you!! I can't believe this will be our last birth announcement. We'll be waiting for BFP announcements soon.

Hope you are all well. I am now on holiday from work but I have so much to do. I need to get the house ready for parties, 2 cakes to bake and decorate, wrap DS2's presents. I have nothing for my brother's 21st as I just don't know what to get him.

Hi all,

just popping in for a quick catch up before bed. I have my fingers crossed for another good night tonight - last night DD slept from 9 till 4, took a 15 min feed and went back to bed till 6.30. It was probably a one off but I know she can do it now.

Lightening - how annoying . How can they deliver the table and not realise the chairs need to go the same address.

Sounds like the southern meet up was good - looking forward to seeing some pics soon.

Moos - it's so exciting waiting for another birth announcement!

Cant - how is DD1 today?

Ses - glad O is better.

Hi!

Just logged in to catch up

Lightning - how frustrating (to put it v mildly!) about your table and chairs!!!

Diege - good luck with the move. Hope all goes well.

Cant - how was the school run with DD1 today?

Moos - I'm getting v excited about the final (for now!) wagon baby

tink - boots are great!

Thank you to all you lovely ladies that came over today. Great time with cake, brownies and biscuits!
Was great to meet Star and her DS and DD (who are both v v cute)
Also lovely to see all others again and see how the LOs are growing up.
Bumps - your O is so lovely and smiley. Must be wonderful after those first few months.
Gruff - Z is just so mobile! Hard to believe that that could be O cruising around the furniture soon!
Ginger - B is doing really well too and looked adorable in her little outfit.
Was great fun and O is now wondering where everyone is!

Thankfully O has been much better today and the snot battle is nearly over for now!

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 03/12/2009 15:32

Tell you what they are absolute knobs! Apparently the chairs are still being held at the sodding depot because no one had thought to let them know that they'd tried to deliver them to the wrong address! So now it's going to take 48-78 hours (no, not 72 hours, that wouldn't be long enough) to get an answer from the depot about why they are still there, when she's just told me they haven't told them the new address! Why can anyone go onto a delivery firm's website and track a parcel in seconds, and yet it takes Debenhams up to 78 hours?

Oh and the answer to the table without chairs thing was "I can see where you're coming from" I nearly fainted as I was too stunned by their all seeing sight..... Am cross now.

Report
IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 03/12/2009 15:04

Oh and shock of all shocks, the table has arrived, no sign of the chairs, though I expected no less, think I might tackle Debenhams before I reward all my clever witty arguments with a treat! Can't wait to hear the answer to "what am I supposed to do with a table with no chairs?"! It has to be better than the answer I got to "Do you treat all your customers like this?" he said "Well not all of them move house" As if they've never delivered to the same person but at a new address - well they obviously don't! Am sufficiently cross enough to ring them now!!

Report
IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 03/12/2009 14:51

Have given up on the cards and wrap, can't find anywhere that does all of what I want.

So where to look for my treat....???

Not even sure what I want! Just fancy something.

Hello! Probably the last time I'll be on before the move. Good to see you LIGHTNING< and yes, we are very much on the move Had a very stressful few weeks when our buyers decided that they wanted £15 grand off the price but we held firm and they exchanged... We have run out of tape, black binsacks and have only 2 boxes left, yet still have a bedroom and kitchen to pack up. Now I know what people mean when they get to the stage where they just throw everything into the car 'loose'
Good luck MOOS not long now at all! Sounds like you're well prepared anyway .
On wrapping front I tend to buy mine from Sainsbury's just because it's our local place, but not esp fussy (am a bit with cards). I am still recovering from the 2 dds birthdays, but will get into xmas gear next week promise! school fun day thing sounds good CANT - what a great idea!
Hope everyone is ok. Only dd1 poorly now and will probably be off tomorrow . Ds had his first nursery visit today, and he is there for 2 hrs tomorrow morning on his own!!! Have swopped dd3's days so she is there too
Hopefully will get internet connections sorted asap so see you all soon!
ps: loving all these boots - have a pair of ASOS that I love and have my eye on a Dune pair of over the knees )

Good morning

On new laptop, we were so lucky, we ordered DS1's at the same time, he had only just gone out to school when they were delivered, if they'd have come even 1 minute earlier he'd have seen it! So now I can laze around the house, in bed, in the beth, and still MN, yeah right!! LOL Think I have had a total of 2 baths since we moved in!

Hope GC feels better soon, and everyone elses poorlies, horrible time of year, it's just one bug after the other.

Am about to get the last few bits of stocking fillers, and then I'm done for our 3, still have families to sort, and then I am going to do an ocado shop, it's going to be a big one, have got DS2's party to cater for, the normal week's shop, and make a start on the xmas food shopping. Am not looking forward to it!

Might have to treat myself to a little something after, just for all my hard work!!

Speaking of online shopping, has anyone ordered things like xmas cards and wrap on line before? I wouldn't usually, (am a bit of a freak when it comes to the quality, hate xmas cards that feel like paper, and hate wrapping paper that tears on the corners because it's too thin) but am seriously running out of time, and have no weekends left to get it sorted in town, don't know where to order it all from? Was thinking clintons but have been dissapointed the last couple of years with theirs. W H Smith's have gone right down hill as well unless you want to pay £8 per card, which I deffo do not want!! Any ideas?

Right, The Book People here we come.... didn't MN used to have a discount for them?

Morning!

Gruff - sorry to hear GC has been ill. Hope he wakes up feeling better today and you can still join us today.

Diege - good luck with the packing. Can't be easy especially with poorly DC. I did think if you'd been a bit further south, we could have met up at yours today for a packing party. Having said that, could also have made things more chaotic for you with the babies!

O seems a bit better this morning, thank goodness!
Also DH told me last night that he's off work from 18th Dec to 4th Jan
