Hello

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
TomlinTowers · 25/09/2009 23:36

Kaylo so sorry to hear your news, best of luck for the future.

Memorylapse I am surprised your landlord can just refuse to pay for the repair to the boiler under the terms of your contract - you surely have a right to expect all appliances to be working. I would consider withholding part of your rent until he got the boiler fixed!

Nothing further to report here. Waves of nausea but no actual vom thank goodness.

James best of luck for the next few days, fingers crossed it all turns out OK. Memorylapse - good luck for your private scan as well.

suey2 · 26/09/2009 06:29

oh kaylo,i'm so sorry! you are being very brave.
Please come back on and let us know when you're back on another board: we'll miss you!

I had all my hair cut off yesterday on a whim. BIG mistake! oh well, it'll grow!

Kaylo so sorry to hear your news - wishing you the best of luck and hope to see you back on an ante-natal thread soon.

Enjoy the bath memorylapse - terrible that the landlord can just refuse like that...

Great news Angelwithin!

I'm up early this morning as I have a teambuilding weekend for work Really not looking forward to it as it starts at 8.45am (eek!) with a two and half hour talk, then out into the forest to build a catapult (aargh!) and then a four course dinner with a welcome drink, four glasses of wine and then three drinks at the bar after... Will just have to try and abandon my glasses of wine all over the place to make it seem that I'm drinking Well, in about 72 hours it will all be over!

Great weekend everybody!

suey2 · 26/09/2009 06:43

oh no kaystar: that is SUCH bad timing! You'll be doing bloody well if no-one clocks on!

DorotheaPlenticlew · 26/09/2009 07:23

Kaylo, I've been hoping for news from you and I'm really sorry it isn't a happier outcome. You sound really positive and strong, good for you -- it must be hard though. We'll miss you on the thread

SK: glad we're not the only ones who forgot to get married

Kaystar, I do not envy you the forest-based catapult-building. Or, in fact, any of the rest of your weekend! Hope you get through it without too much exhaustion and/or awkward questions.

I'm on the early shift today, but DP will be getting up in an hour or so to take DS out to play and then I can collapse again for a little while. Been drinking loads of milk today, which I don't normally enjoy -- this morning I prefer it to tea

AnAngelWithin · 26/09/2009 09:02

Kaylo so sorry to hear your news

Kaystar, good luck with trying to hide everything including the wine!!

Suey, I'm sure your hair looks lovely! Mines gone all greasy and horrible. And my skins all broken out in spots

Dorothea, baby will have good bones then!! My mum drank loads of milk while she was pregnant with me, I've never even fractured a bone when really, in some situations, it should have broken in 2!

Welcome to Den

WHY DO I KEEP DISAPPEARING OFF THE LIST???? oops....hormones

Angel.. Im another one with greasy hair! Even just after ive washed it it still looks greasy. Its horrible!
And the spots too. I only get spots when im pregnant. Seems worse this time round too

Den26 · 26/09/2009 14:46

Hi All, i'm a bit panicked today... Was up during the night to the loo and (sorry if TMI)when i wiped there was a slight mark of pink on the tissue - everything been ok so far today except lower back feels slightly uncomfortable? Anyone any ideas? I hope miscarriage isnt happening all over again

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 26/09/2009 14:57

Den, rest if you can. Feet up, do as little as possible, and let your doctor/mw know. That's what I'm doing now.

Den26 · 26/09/2009 15:03

Hi James, thanks, hope you are ok. I think i'll try the MW and see if they are available today - this is so stressful - its horrible not being in control of it all.

Kaylo · 26/09/2009 15:16

Den How far along are you hun? Is an early scan an option for you yet?

Definitely rest, it will help you as much as your bean. See what your midwife says or even call straight through to the Early Pregnancy Unit - they'll be able to advise you.

I have my fingers crossed firmly for you.

This thread has seen enough heartbreak.

Den26 · 26/09/2009 15:39

Thanks Kaylo, i had a very early scan earlier this week because of the previous partial molar pregnancy. The nurse said i was around 4.5 weeks and could see a sac and possibly beginning of neural pole, but still too early. Ectopic was ruled out.

Just off telephone to MW - she was lovely, advised rest and no stress!! have to contact her if more bleeding or pain, oherwise, just have to wait...

Kaylo, i admire your strength, with all you are going through you are still helping others!

Kaylo · 26/09/2009 16:14

Awwww Den, you'll have me crying in a minute.

If I can help anybody I will. It doesn't matter what I'm going through - I just don't want anyone else to go through it!!

sweetkitty · 26/09/2009 21:31

Evening all hope everyone is doing OK and not feeling too sick, I haven't been too bad today

Den - fingers and everything crossed for you

Kaylo - hope you are doing ok? How is the physical side of things? I know how shitty it is to have to leave a antenatal thread but you will be alright, (very unmumsnetty hugs)

Kaylo · 26/09/2009 21:39

Sweetkitty - I'm ok, raring to go actually. Both dh and me just wanna put this behind us and start TTC again. Don't get me wrong, it has devastated both of us but to start TTC again is the way forward for us. We still feel ready - more so maybe.
Physically, the bleeding has almost stopped - haven't seen any today but still getting cramps so maybe more on the way - [disgusted emoticon] Hopefully not tho as the nurse/midwifey person said there was nothing left 'in there' and mc was completed so maybe this really is it. Who knows.

How are you lot keeping anyway? I already feel like I've been gone ages even tho its like 24hrs lol.
I'm finding that this is still the first thread I check, and prob will be for a while

xx

TwentiethCenturyHeffa · 26/09/2009 22:36

Kaylo - you sound so strong! I hope you're feeling physically better soon, and good luck with the TTCing.

Den26 - fingers crossed for you.

My skin's getting worse as well Sickness has finally started in earnest today and I feel dreadful.

My hair's quite greasy too, I've been thinking about getting it cut - it's waist length atm and I'm nervous about cutting it but I figure now is a pretty good time too since it'll grow back quickly if I don't like it. Will have to mull it over for a while though.

charmbutterfly · 27/09/2009 00:49

Oh Kaylo I am so sorry!! Glad you are in positive spirits though!!

Just wanted to tell you all that i heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time yesterday!! It was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard!! It just feels so real now!

sweetkitty · 27/09/2009 06:57

Kaylo - you sound a bit like me, all I could think about was getting pregnant again bit like an obsession really, happened quick for us as it does for a lot of women I know, so fingers and everything crossed for you.

Heffa - same here too, very spotty and greasy hair and skin, coupled with the fact I look tinged with green most days I am looking good! I'm always like this when pregnant though, have yet to "bloom" I got my long hair cut when DD3 was about 6 months as I felt it was really lank and in bad condition but I regretted it and am currently trying to grow it again. Maybe a good trim something not so drastic???

Charmbutterfly - thats great about the heartbeat and really early too, I thought they couldn't hear it that early, my scan is next Friday counting down the days am excited but very scared.

suey2 · 27/09/2009 07:29

same here sk: scared, but looking forward to it too. I went for an early scan last time, and it really wasn't real for me until then. But now i know what it is to have a child, so I am more expectant this time, therefore more scared in case it's not growing/ the heartrate is too slow. I know loads of folk who have recently had a MC too.

I suspect I had a MC last cycle- i came on a few days early, and it was the heaviest period i have had since i was a teenager: 9 days, clots galore and coming through everything at night for the first 4 nights. I'd just had a week of 'proper' diarrhoea (was on hols in central america) so if there was a bean, it wouldn't have stood a chance.

OP posts:
suey2 · 27/09/2009 07:30

sorry - how exciting charmbutterfly! that was my favourite bit of my favourite scan! a very special moment

OP posts:
sweetkitty · 27/09/2009 07:39

suey - snap I am sure I had a chemical pregnancy the month before last too, period was 9 days late and so heavy. Same here waking up erm leaking which is something that never happens to me, still we are where we are and fingers and toes crossed for these LOs

I don't think I would ever tire of hearing that heartbeat it is lovely.

Hollyoaks · 27/09/2009 09:55

kaylo so sorry

charmbutterfly amazing, I can't wait

I know that I'm only 5 weeks but apart from the tiredness and sometimes feeling a little lightheaded and dizzy I don't have that much nausea. It was awful with dd but I don't remember when it started. I don't want to feel ill but it is slightly reassurring that somethings happening in there. Even did a 4th test yesterday just to confirm and definately pg. So, when did the ms hit everyone else?

HeadInAWhirl · 27/09/2009 10:30

Kaylo, I'm sorry for your loss and so impressed by your strength. I look forward to seeing your name on another AN thread in the near future.

butterfly charm, love your name, I agree with hearing the heart beat - I nearly cried when I first heard it in my first pg, was gutted DH wasn't there

Still waiting to hear from MW, apparently they contact me to arrange booking in, but GP took all the details when I went about the Abs - which are doing dreadful things to DDs nappies!

Does anyone know about tandem feeding, or getting velcro baby to take a bottle?

HeadInAWhirl · 27/09/2009 10:32

Hollyoaks - this is my 3rd pg and I don't think I'm into double figures of how many times I've been sick between them all. Tiredness I do, sickness I don't - maybe you're lucky this time?

memorylapse · 27/09/2009 10:56

im off for a private scan in a min..I just hope I dont throw up while Im there!..hoping against hope that they can tell me the clot is getting smaller.
while we ae on the subject of hair..mines so greasy you could fry egg and chips in it..my hair always looks disgusting in early pregnancy..in fact I look disgusting! people must think ive let myself go!
