Madmissy and GS - I'm Stevenage so not that far from you either.

My lost baby would have been due this saturday. I know DP has forgotten, dates aren't his thing and men don't really think about things like that do they but still, it does make me think how different xmas would've been etc etc...

GoldenSnitch · 06/10/2009 22:02

Anyone else close by? We could have a meet up when the bumps arrive

I had to look up the dates for my lost one. I'd tried to block it out. Sort of glad I missed the actual day, that would have been too painful.

madmissy · 07/10/2009 09:15

yeah we could do a meet in the middle lol!

pussycatmomma · 07/10/2009 22:49

Hi there........I dont mean to appear rude by jumping straight in but here goes!
im 32 weeks and due on 1st Dec, would love to have a chat to other mums to be.
This will be my 2nd baby, ds1 is 20 months old.
We dont know what we are having, cant decide on names, and Im at that very knackered stage where I would just like to lie down for a month or so! Having said that I am very excited about baby number 2 and would love to make some new friends who are in similar situations.
I used to mumsnet when I was ttc ds1, to the point where I was quite happily obsessed, but since the birth of my beautiful boy, funnily enough I havent had alot of spare time!!! Till now that is
im gonna back track now and try and get to know you all a little.
Like I say, hope you dont mind me crashing, and I really look forward to chatting to you all soon
xxxxxxxx

Welcome to the madhouse pussycatmomma.

I had THE MOST AWFUL DREAM/NIGHTMARE LAST NIGHT!
(pesky caps lock)

I had had my baby and was on the maternity ward, woke up in the morning thinking wow new baby is still asleep. Look over into the plastic crib thing and my baby has been replaced with one of those reborn dolls except the eyes are open and it has this huge exagerated joker smile.

Ive now decided the baby is staying where she is, I dont care how uncomfortable her wriggling around is. I'll let her out when she turns 21.

Stigaloid · 08/10/2009 10:40

Oooh Arghhhhh i have rotten dreams too - hugs

Welcome pussycatmomma

I have begun the final countdown and now have Europe p[laying constantly in my head! 10 weeks to go - nursery still being used as spare/dumping room, have no mattress for new cot, not bothered to organise newborn/baby clothes, still not painted nursery or made the curtains. Argh! Far too lax - this time last time i am pretty sure my bags were already packed.

I also re-read the What to Expect chapter on labour and got teh most god-awful flashbacks of first time round so am in a panic and a bit of a state about it all. I know there is no turnign back now but i just don't want to go through it all again i like awake at night dreading the birth stage all over again and getting intoa right old state. (sob)

ArghhhhmazingBouncingSpider · 08/10/2009 11:12

Awww Stigaloid im getting a bit like that, I have no nursery, as we only have 2 bedrooms, I still need to pick up the moses basket from my mum and dads and give the covers a good wash, none of the babygros have been prewashed, and yes, im dreading labour, I think the further on we get and the bigger, heavier, slower we feel the more we actually look forward to getting the baby out so it kind of overtakes our fears of the pain, natures way of taking our minds off it! So hopefully fears of the chilbirth itself will shrink.

GoldenSnitch · 08/10/2009 11:48

We've only managed to finish DS's new room!! Still got to get ours sorted so that we can get our stuff out of the box room so we can paint it and get a cot in there!

Figured there's no point washing everything or buying new matresses until I have somewhere to put them!

Got to get the crib from the MIL, the moses basket from my friend and get the cot back in from the garage once the room is painted.

I have bought her a little pink bunny though

Have the most awful week, ever. EVER

Have had aa D&V bug , just to top the cake off but i'm ok today.

Baby i mc'd was due today, but strangely i feel ok, i think its because i have dd2 in my tummy and im so lucky to have her

I have had baby's crib up for weeks , Mimi and the baby have these, the baby's has a an all white bedding set and drape for it very excited for her to go in it.

Am still fighting the urge to buy that bright pink P&T

Off to see how you all are now.

BlueChampagne · 08/10/2009 13:19

Not organised in our house yet either - still have to swap bedrooms round and build DS's big boy bed, so hopefully it won't be associated with the new arrival. He won't need to go into it immediately, as we have a moses basket, but at least he can have the option. We only have 2 bedrooms too, and I don't forsee any painting happening!

Baby clothes are all still in the attic too, but I know where they are so it will all come together in due course. We were in the middle of having an extension built when DS was born, and barely had a kitchen, so this should be a doddle in comparison .

What I do have, which I'm quite proud of, is a freezer stuffed with home-grown veg from the allotment.

Scorps · 08/10/2009 13:20

Stigaloid - do you want to talk about your birth? I have had 3 vaginal births and can possibly help? or reassure?

Hi PCM (think i recognise you from around the board)

Scorps · 08/10/2009 13:21

I have got out and washed and sorted and everything all of Mimi's sleepsuits for dd2. I have bought this baby some snowsuits and some cloth nappies but thats about it! I have to buy a buggy and a bouncy chair yet, but thats it.

BexJ78 · 08/10/2009 13:38

We have bought pretty much all the stuff we need now, but it is all just piled up in the nursery; not organised at all!! Starting to feel very tired and weary, but 5 weeks to go at work....arrgghh!
Hope everyone is feeling ok.

GoldenSnitch · 08/10/2009 15:50

Just got back from my 28 week appointment and all is good with babysnitch

Do have a lot of ketones in my urine though which apparently means I need to eat more - bring on the snack

Have also worked out that routine appointments fit in perfectly with my Center Parcs trip at the end of November too. Things are going well today!

Just come back from lunch with a friend and when I mentioned that I havent packed my bag yet, she got all excited and demanded we buy things now so we can pack it, ive never seen anyone so eager to buy disposable briefs before! Ive managed to hold her off for a couple of weeks though.

GoldenSnitch · 08/10/2009 16:22

I need a halloween name I think...hmm what to choose!??

LaDiDaDi · 08/10/2009 16:22

Hello all, including the recent additions.

The nursery is currently filled with rubble at my house as dp got a cowboy complete knobhead wanker builder/carpenter to knock out a cupboard and stick some new doors on. I reckon I could have done a better job faster.

Baby's stuff is still in loft/spare room awaiting the nursery. Need to sort out my hospital bag and fancy a nice yummy mummy changing bag as a little treat for me .

GoldenSnitch · 08/10/2009 16:24

Ooh, I'd love one of those too - this will be my last chance to ahve one after all
