Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Moosy · 21/10/2009 15:36

I got my Kari-me on ebay for about £24, there's loads of them on there and Mobys too.

Just seen the MW and I'm still measuring bit for dates, but no bigger on the chart than last time so no scan for me

BexJ78 · 21/10/2009 16:20

Hi Wrennies! what date are you due?

re: slings, i have bought a huggababy sling, which is the one my yoga teacher reccommended. hope it will be ok!

having similar quandry to most of you with christmas cards. Once I have finished work, i think i will get the envelopes all written and then hope that i don't have to wait too long to be able to fill in the rest!

madmissy · 21/10/2009 16:48

he weighs 3.5lb so far [hgin]

BexJ78 · 21/10/2009 16:49

Madmissy, how did they work out the weight?

madmissy · 21/10/2009 16:51

at the growth scans they measure everything really clever his exact weight is in grammes and i had to convert it but hes doing well and caught up with himself as he was bit behind at first

im on course for another 8lber

TheBlairSnitchProject · 21/10/2009 16:57

It moved!! Wow! I thought it was grade 4 on the 3D?

TheBlairSnitchProject · 21/10/2009 16:57

That's good news though

madmissy · 21/10/2009 19:38

it was! so all that stress for nothing! the hospital even got 2 people to scan me!

TheBlairSnitchProject · 21/10/2009 20:50

I'm so pleased for you Missy. It must be a huge weight off your mind. Hooray!!

Arghh are you about? I was wondering if I could bug you for some advice? My sister is going into ELC this week to order the Big City Garage for DS for Christmas but obviously we'd rather have the 20% off than the free cars. If we go in and say that, will they let us buy the garage without the cars and use the voucher or do we have to have the cars while the deal is on?

madmissy · 21/10/2009 21:07

yep was so worried i wld have a bleed and end up staying in for ages and then stuck for the girls

are you getting sore ribs yet?

TheBlairSnitchProject · 21/10/2009 21:34

I've got sore everything this week. Hips are the worst, I'm so stiff and uncomfortable!

Ribs seem OK so far though.

madmissy · 21/10/2009 21:49

my god carter must be mega long or something as my right rib is killing really sore

TheBlairSnitchProject · 21/10/2009 21:58

Is that the name you've chosen?

We're still struggling!

madmissy · 21/10/2009 22:12

Yeah lol! thought i told you already!

we have always said carter if we were to have a boy

TheBlairSnitchProject · 21/10/2009 22:15

No, but I love it. I'm still desperate to use Catherine but DH is still resiting

madmissy · 21/10/2009 22:17

ahhh i do love it as kitty tres tres cute lol

what others were on the list?

Milliemuffin · 21/10/2009 22:17

Blairsnitch - we bought the garage from elc a couple of months ago for DS for xmas and the voucher says across the bottom cannot be used in conjunction with 'star buys' which the garage is, if its the big blue one anyway, not sure about the wooden garage, dont think that is.

We changed banks a couple of months ago and because we cancelled our direct debit (with old bank) with childrens mutual for DS's trust fund and then setup a new one (new bank) they sent us another £20 in mothercare vouchers so we put that towards it! If anyone else has a direct debit with childrens mutual its worth doing if you want £20 mothercare vouchers!

ArghhhhmazingBouncingSpider · 22/10/2009 07:52

Snitch, the deal is a catalogue offer so wont be coming off anytime soon, just tell them you dont want the cars and would prefer to get 20% off. If they kick up a fuss say you know someone who works in the Nuneaton store and that I said its perfectly fine to do so. The only rule is you cant use in conjunction with any other other offer, but who is to say you have to have the free cars offer and not the alternative. Tell them to phone me at Nuneaton store if they wanna argue it out!! (is in the mood for a rumble!!)

TheBlairSnitchProject · 22/10/2009 07:55

Thanks Argh!! That's what I hoped we could do.

Will dedefinitely pass them your way for an arguement ;)

My sister moved out of Nuneaton last Friday so I've been there quite a bit - wonder if we've ever bumped into each other?

ArghhhhmazingBouncingSpider · 22/10/2009 08:01

Oh how strange, what a small world eh. And lucky your sister moving out of Nuneaton!!
Must dash gonna be late for work only came on to get the addresses down for the vouchers! Always end up spending longer on here then I should

TheBlairSnitchProject · 22/10/2009 08:03

She's gone to Melton Mowbray, don't feel too happy for her ;)

And she still teaches in Coventry!

TheBlairSnitchProject · 22/10/2009 09:12

Right, gonna try it this afternoon - getting the Garage without the cars that is. If the ELC in MK turn me down, I might send DH over next week to get one from you Arghhh..he works in Atherstone

It is a small world. DH bumped into a friend of mine from uni who now lives and works in Coventry while he was there for the day doing Disaster Recovery. They'd both popped to Tesco for lunch at the same time!

TheBlairSnitchProject · 22/10/2009 10:01

Missy - we had Emma on the list for DS and DH is still keen but one of DS's little friends is an Emma and she's really difficult so it's put me off. Plus, I was never really keen as one of DH's Exs was Emma too.

We could change it to Emily but I still don't like it as much as Catherine.

I want Catherine Aoife (FIL likes to think he is Irish) but he's vetoed Aoife too!! (pronounced Ee-fa, bit like Eva BTW)

I've suggested Zoe, Charlotte, Claire but all DH ever says is "I know you don't like it as much as Catherine" so we're at stalemate!

LittleGems · 22/10/2009 10:14

Hi, only just found this thread... im due on 10/12 and having a little girl :-) I also have a daughter called Caitlin aged 4. Would be nice to chat to people around the same stage as me!! x

Claire236 · 22/10/2009 11:18

My ribs have been really sore. ds2 obviously wants more space.

Blairsnitch - I like all your names but the shortening of Catherine to Kitty is particularly lovely. This time round dh & I agreed both boys & girls names really early whereas with ds1 his name was decided purely because it was the only one we both agreed on.

I think I've got a new batch of hormones as I cried at EastEnders yesterday & Jeremy Kyle today. Not to mention my crazy pregnant lady bit on Friday (most embarrassing). Please tell me I'm not the only one losing my mind.
