Been doing nit treatments on my four eldest today - ahhhhhhhh!!!! Plus all the washing and combing - have a laundry pile that's huge.

ArghhhhmazingBouncingSpider · 18/10/2009 16:37

Im glad youve been emailed some snitch, because when I collected the vouchers from the office they say you have to spend over £40 and you said you only wanted blankets, but they are still good for scorps and anyone else who wants to spend obscene amounts in mothercare!
pussycat I shall email you so you can send me your address and then I shall go buy some stamps!

BexJ78 · 18/10/2009 21:55

Hi All

Hope you have all had a fun weekend. I am absolutely made up with cold, but have had a good weekend, visiting rellies and at NCT classes yesterday am. We had breastfeeding workshop with a counsellor at antenatal, which made me feel more positive about bf. Think am going to give it a good go anyway.
Plus have picked up moses basket and just won M&P wardrobe and dresser on ebay, so am finally getting there!
Only 3 and a bit weeks left at work. can't believe this is all going so fast!!

ArghhhhmazingBouncingSpider · 19/10/2009 08:30

Scorps I need your address I want to stalk you!!
Last call for mothercare vouchers!

Scorps · 19/10/2009 11:05

I do still want voucher please just my laptop cable is playing up and I'm using my iPhone at mo and can't get on my email acc, I will email u from dhs later

I am heffer, I weigh 10.3 stone now!

charleymouse · 19/10/2009 11:19

Blairsnitch if you know someone who needs the VBAC book forward it on if not would you mind sending it back to me. I am visiting the MLU today and am still pushing for a HBAC so need all the ammo I can get.

Well I washed newborn baby clothes yesterday and they look so tiny (but also huge as DS was 3lb)

This one has now been cooking for 2 weeks longer than the last lot so am starting to think anytime now although I also think it will be late. Terrible Braxton Hicks on Friday so have rested up all weekend and feel fine now. Have dug everything out for hospital bag over weekend just got to pack it now. (still hoping I won't actually need it though). Got DH to attend ladygarden over the weekend as well as can't even see it never mind manage to do anything with it.

Hope everyone is well. BTW I am the size of a small country and can wee every five minutes. Is everyone else the same?

TheBlairSnitchProject · 19/10/2009 13:02

Charley - no other VBAC-ers here so I'll send the book back to you.

It was a great help in making up my mind. Thankyou very much

Do you have CAT? If so, CAT me your address and I'll post the book back or let me know and I'll give me your e-mail address and we can do it that way.

Between my bladder and DS getting me up in the night I'm not getting very much sleep at the moment. I'm hoping DS is just sleeping badly because of his cold and all will go back to normal soon - he's slept through since he was 10 weeks old! I'm due a nightmare child this time to make up I'm sure! I've taken to crawling into bed with him for a few minutes as he settles quickest that way. I get up and go back to my own bed before he's properly out again but I'm still worrying that I'm making a rod for my back by doing it! It's just soooo cold at 3am

Finally got my maternity grant for today so I can send off for that now which is good.

Found out last night that my Grandad had been rushed into hospital with a problem with his heart rate. He seems to be fine now and is being discharged back to his care home today but I'm worried this is the beginning of the end. Poor man has Alzeimers and has been deteriorating before our eyes for the past few years. Hoping he hangs on to meet his first Great Grand daughter...

ArghhhhmazingBouncingSpider · 19/10/2009 14:19

Im sorry to hear about your Grandad Snitch.

4 times I got up to go to the loo last night and thankfully DS has gotten over his cough and has started sleeping through again. Im going to my parents tonight because DH is driving down to London (again Grrr)
He best bring me back some krispy kremes this time dammit otherwise its divorce papers for christmas!

Scorps dont worry i'll keep one for you.

TheBlairSnitchProject · 19/10/2009 14:29

Thanks Arghh.

We were planning on a visit back up north this weekend anyway as it's my Mum's birthday and I wanted to see Grandad as it'll be probably about 6 months before I can make it again so we're definitely going now.

I'll feel better when I've seen him. He's my last remaining Grandparent so it will be very sad when he goes.

There's a whole Krispy Kreme shop in MK and they deliver them fresh to the local Tesco's everyday!...

It's a dangerous place to live when you don't want to end up the size of a house!!

ArghhhhmazingBouncingSpider · 19/10/2009 14:33

Oh thats not fair. I wish we had one here.
My town is so Royston Vasey they even closed down the starbucks after only a year!

TheBlairSnitchProject · 19/10/2009 14:58

It's not good. The smell drifting down the shopping center is sooooo tempting.

And of course, (when I worked) every leaving/birthday/wedding thing was celebrated with huge box fulls of Krispy Kreme's!!

If we ever have a December Thread meet up, I'll bring you some

Stigaloid · 19/10/2009 15:22

Hey everyone

Am soooo tired at the moment. I am finding working such a struggle too. I still have 4 weeks to go until mat leave but the long days are really hard on me now. Can barely keep my eyes open.

Am also sleeping terribly - anxiety dreams and needing the loo so often. Plus being kicked. Am wanting to be at the end but terrified of the whole birth experience again. Gah! Not the best monday.

Hope everyone else is okay

Milliemuffin · 19/10/2009 16:13

Hi girls, I'm with you on the lack of sleep. Its getting more uncomfortable to turn over during the night or to get up for a wee and all today i've had a head or bum right at the front of my belly which is really uncomfortable and getting some very low kicks which aren't particularly nice either.

Now it's down to single fingers for weeks to go (ie. 9+6) it's all starting to seem a bit more real. Hopefully DS's room will be ready for him to move into by early nov and then I can really concentrate on preparing myself.

Home birth's aren't allowed before 37 weeks so I've got 6 and a bit weeks to get everything sorted for that, new pool liner, move the furniture etc etc.

I bought DS a blue doll at the weekend from ELC for him to play with but he's really not interested I will persevere!

Also - my dad asked me at the weekend if I'd decided about the swine flu jab, I'm still sooooooo 50/50, DP thinks I should but I really don't know...

ArghhhhmazingBouncingSpider · 19/10/2009 16:15

Lol I can imagine if there was a krispy kremes where I live it would be:
"its 3:15pm on a Wednesday! Lets celebrate!"

Sorry you are feeling crappy Stig, I only have 2 weeks left at work, but for the past 4 weeks you could hardly call what ive been doing working! I just make an appearance, sit on my chair, answer customers questions about when im due and then go home again!
More jobs should be like that!
Hope you have a decent nights sleep tonight and feel better in the morning.

BexJ78 · 19/10/2009 21:20

i have never had a krispy kreme?! i gather they are nice?!

I have 3 and a bit weeks til i finish and it can't come a moment too soon...my bloody boss is driving me mad. grrrrr.

TheBlairSnitchProject · 19/10/2009 21:30

They are nice - and incredibly moreish - and full of fat!!

Oh, Why are all the good things so bad for you?

Mybox · 20/10/2009 09:29

Hello to everyone new - best wishes

Also not sleeping much as can't turn over as my back doesn't cooperate plus last night had leg cramps caused by nerve pressure. Was so tired I thought I'd ignore it - lol - but it's awful. Had to get up and move up & down for sometime - the perfect thing to do at 3am.

anniebigpants · 20/10/2009 10:20

Morning ladies, welcome to new joiners.

Got your e-mail re Mothercare voucher Arghhh, thank you.

Im another finding sleeping quite uncomfortable now, even with a million pillows in the bed, takes me half an hour to turn over in bed, by the time ive dragged my pillows with me! I keep rolling onto my back in my sleep, and DH wakes me up as he panics cos he said i start gasping for air in my sleep!

3 and a bit weeks til i finish work, and i cant wait, im finding it a real struggle now, really busy at work, even though am sitting down all day, its full on from 08.30 to 5.30, with the only break being lunch.

6 weeks today to my due date

sparklycheerymummy · 20/10/2009 11:10

yipppeeee i have finished work and instead of doing housework i am on the laptop and watching chat shows.... about to hoover and dust though i promise!!! Had my 34 week scan yesterday and it turns out my placenta has moved enough for normal delivery and baby is head down and back to front which i gather is good. My dd who is 7 came and was made up..... every time i think about her face i fill up!!!! told her she was going to hospital for an eye test till we got there and she went mad with excitement!!! Popped into work yesterday and got presented with a gorgeous mummy and baby hamper full of all sorts of stuff..... i feel so so special and humble!! i am finding sleep uncomfy too.... my hips hurt when i lie on either side for a while and i cant get comfy on my back...... then i need a wee.... hen i get horrendous leg cramps if i stretch at all..... the other day i got it in both legs and was screaming and my dd and dp though baby was coming.... any advice or tricks for leg cramps ladies????

nosmellyknickers · 20/10/2009 13:31

I'm Holly, and new here, and thought I'd open this forum up so we can talk about the last few weeks of pregnancy before the big dayfinally arrives!

How are you all feeling? I'm absolutely shattered, still working my socks off (50 hours a week in a hospital) and barely coping with everything, because I live on my own and am now not in contact with my ex-boyfriend. I seem to be getting cravings for weird things at the moment, like roast beef and mayonnaise sandwiches, and am also rather worried about seeing my midwife the day after tomorrow, because I'm having (tmi) 'accidents', and don't know what this could mean with regards to my pregnancy. I don't seem to be doing anything else but work work work, when I obviously need to start getting clothes for my baby girl when she arrives, but again I don't have the time at the moment, and to add insult to injury, my washing machine has packed up, so will have to ring them up tomorrow in my break so they can come out and fix it for me, because I'm running out of clothes.

Oh well, we'll see how things pan out!

Claire236 · 20/10/2009 15:35

Welcome Holly. Not surprised you're tired.

Apologies everyone as I'm pretty sure this subject has been covered before but I'm a bit behind the drag curve. I've been thinking about buying a sling mainly for walking ds1 to school rather than using the pram & am feeling a bit bewildered by the choices out there. Has anyone else used one/planning on using one & if so what would you recommend.

Just went to get my Mars bar out of the fridge which I've been fancying for the last hour or so & it's gone. Going to throttle dh when he gets home from work.
