Good luck to Neddie and TickList!!

Waiting, waiting....come on LO time to come out and visit. Feel like it is never going to happen!

FairySparkles · 27/08/2009 09:43

Oooo what an exciting day for neddie and tlq - good luck!!

Last day in work today for me - only work 2 days a week so wasn't expecting anyone to notice me going but I've just recieved a lovely bunch of flowers and a card, nearly burst into tears tho

Minshu · 27/08/2009 11:50

It's a big day, isn't it? And still no word from MrsC (slacker)

Will be checking back often for news.

I slept so well last night, and so late this morning - had to rush to make mw appt. Told her about the hypnobirthing cd (hope to start listening to that more regularly now I'm off work), and she was very supportive. She'd known of one lady who used it and, although things didn't go to plan (didn't go into details), it allowed her to remain very calm which really surprised the staff who dealt with the birth. So that's a good recommendation. My baby's head was too low for the mw to be confident of the position relative to the opening, so I'm going for a scan next Thursday to see if she is a bit off-centre. I'll try not to worry about what that could mean for my birth plan unless I have to...

Had such a weird dream - about being left to look after this baby girl. Nobody seemed bothered about where her parents were and just left her as being my responsibility. She fell asleep over my shoulder while I was holding her - so sweet. It was a lovely feeling - although I did start to wonder why she hadn't been fed or changed, as the rational part of my brain started to get in on the act

Well done on only "nearly" bursting into tears, FairySparkles

blinder · 27/08/2009 12:39

I 'actually' burst into tears last night because DP was taking a bit long re-siliconing the bathroom, which I insisted he do before the baby arrives (it was a bit mouldy).

I'm not usually this high-maintenance.

Good luck to birthing ladies !

LJ29 · 27/08/2009 12:44

best of luck to all those delivering today!

Well i've just got back from yet another stay in hospial after bleeding on Tuesday night. All settled down and consultant happy for me to continue although she did give me an appointment for 2 weeks when I will be 39+4 and says she will give me a sweep. Hope everyone is enjoying mat leave.

peachygirl · 27/08/2009 13:04

Hi Good luck to those ladies we haven't heard from.
I'm off the my Final VBAC appointment with the consultant in a bit so I'll fill you all in when I get back.

LittleCheese · 27/08/2009 14:15

ooo I wonder how tlq, neddie and mrsc are getting on. Im so impatient and want to hear from them now hehe

I had a terrible day yesterday, I was so so tired and had no patience with dd at all.

Last night and tuesday night I had 2 hours of regular contractions between 10 and 12 so frustrating that nothing has come of it

LJ sorry to hear you have been hospitalised again. It must be so irritating not knowing why.

SprinkleofStardust · 27/08/2009 14:33

Sending lots of lovely birthing thoughts to those in labour, or getting there in your case LittleCheese, it's got to happen soon for you!!

Ok I think I really am losing it, I had a major stress about birthday presents as we have 10 birthdays (11 including LO coming) between now and Christmas and I thought with a newborn I could do without the stress of buying presents, so went mad on the internet (god I love Amazon!!) and bought them all and I am now wrapping them... procrastination of cleaning at it's very best!!!

Ladyem · 27/08/2009 14:40

Wonder how neddie, ticklist and mrschemist are getting on? So exciting! Can't wait to hear back from them!

daffodilli · 27/08/2009 15:20

No news yet then?! what can they be doing?!

blue76 · 27/08/2009 16:12

Righty - back from 36 wk mw appt [I'm 36+4]. She wasn't sure whether LO breech so sending me for scan at FMU tomorrow. Then when she measured fundal height, she said LO hasn't grown for 3 weeks...so growth scan also needed. Appt 1.30 tomorrow. If placenta isn't doing what it should be then I will be induced. If baby is also breech then I will be having a cs as they will not attempt to turn her [ecv]. Not worried as I don't think putting a tape measure on my tummy each week is an accurate way of measuring the size of baby - especially as she seems to lie in different positions.

Oooh I hope all the labouring ladies are okay!

OP posts:
blue76 · 27/08/2009 16:14

Meant to add that fundal height 32cm today

Excuse me for interrupting ladies!

I have a message from my pal Neddie-

Both delivered safe and sound. Neddie seems to be ok, judging by the lucidity of her text! Not sure if it's the 'done thing' to post their names, so will leave it for her to do when she has some spare time/spare hands....

Might be quite a wait then!

Good luck to everyone who's still waiting.

AprilMeadow · 27/08/2009 16:31
