SprinkleofStardust · 27/08/2009 18:04

Congratulations Neddie, can't wait to hear the details!!!

Minshu · 27/08/2009 18:10

StayFrosty - apologies if I missed something or am being overly nosey, but where's NaughtyFrosty now?

There's far too much going on - we have 126 posts in 3 days - not sure my LO will arrive until the next thread at this rate

daffodilli · 27/08/2009 18:19

Congratualtions Neddie!! hope you are all doing
well!

daffodilli · 27/08/2009 18:22

Agree Minshu, I'm due on the 13th and dont think this thread will still be going then at this rate!

LadyStealthPolarBear · 27/08/2009 19:00

anyone else absolutely exhausted?

audreyraines · 27/08/2009 19:41

Stealth, I seem to swing between exhaustion and hyper energy. I had ds all day today (and he only had a veryshort nap), so I've shoved him into bed early and am sitting down wiht a cup of raspberry leaf tea. Considering getting some clary sage burning in the oil burner too
DH working late tonight trying to get things into a fit state to hand over to someone else just in case LO arrives this weekend.

Looking forward to some more exciting news girls!!

LadyStealthPolarBear · 27/08/2009 19:43

I have loads of energy in the morning and then crash out in the afternoon. I fell asleep this afternoon and woke at5 - had no idea what was going on or whether I was going to be late to pick DS up from nursery, and felt really under the weather

TrixieBelden · 27/08/2009 19:43

Oh I am. But less so since I pretty much stopped doing anything arduous. The nursery is done, the supplies are in, I've given up gardening and doing much of anything around the house...and the result is that I can just about stay up till ten o'clock. Until last week I had been trying to keep up my usual pace but let's face it, we're carrying around ready-to-go babies and we're entitled to rest a bit.

Great news from Neddie though! Very exciting. I can't fathom twins!

blue76 · 27/08/2009 19:46

Congratulations Neddie!

Thanks ladies - will post back with the verdict tomorrow

blue76 · 27/08/2009 20:03

Sorry - I feel so ignorant! I read the previous page and missed this one

I go to be around midnight and get up 7-8am. Usually go for a nap mid-afternoon. I too seem to go from being shattered to hyper. I agree with Trixie - we're entitled to rest and we might as well get used to it as we'll be a fair bit more shattered when LOs come along!

Ooh LSP - maybe you're getting close!!

OP posts:
audreyraines · 27/08/2009 20:05

Yeah, I feel entitled to rest, but ds doesn't always agree unfortunately!

LittleCheese · 27/08/2009 20:23

congratulations neddie really pleased for you.

Blue I also dont get the whole measuring my tummy thing. I was measured at 37cm 2 weeks ago and 36 this week when i questioned midwife she couldnt really say why. It was two different midwives that measured me so im not really worried and ive put weight on so measurements must have been wrong.

I am also shattered all day then as soon as it gets to 9ish im wide awake and cant get to sleep until gone midnight.

I am having afternoon naps when dd naps and im stuck between being proud that my 2.7 year old now gets herself out of bed and sits and reads books until mummy wakes up and feeling guilty that she is unsupervised for half an hourish.

peachygirl · 27/08/2009 20:23

Congratulations neddie , looking forward to your announcement

All well at the hospital, no scan but again the consultant said baby was head down. All looking good for my VBAC.

JRocks · 27/08/2009 20:28

Congratulations Neddie

Ladyem · 27/08/2009 20:28

Congratulations Neddie! (Am in tears now!!)

Can't wait to hear all about it!

PlumpRumpSoggyBaps · 27/08/2009 21:16

Neddie says I can tell you the names and weights of her babies.

But I don't know, I quite like having secrets.

Minshu · 27/08/2009 21:21

You can torture us all you like, PRSB.

Love your name, by the way...

PlumpRumpSoggyBaps · 27/08/2009 21:25

See, I'm a sucker for flattery. And I'm useless at keeping secrets.

So. We have Oscar Lloyd who tipped the scales at 6lb 4oz and Cerys Rowan who weighed in at 5lb 7 and a half.

She's a brave girlie, my old mate.

peachygirl · 27/08/2009 21:27

Lovely names and grest weights too.

Apparently the measurements fundal measurement can be off if they don't get the tape measure in the right place. Remember I went thorough all this a little while ago.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 27/08/2009 21:28

Oh lovely - what good weights for twins!
My pg brain tells me that's about 12lb of baby!

peachygirl · 27/08/2009 21:31

great [shame] shame on me

Minshu · 27/08/2009 21:32

Lovely names - and good weights!! No wonder she was getting uncomfortable. I've just got the one in me, and that can be wearing enough when she's having a good old wobble about.

Thanks for letting us know. Send her our love if you can.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 27/08/2009 21:35

do fraterenal twins have a placenta or share one?
I'm sorry, I never used to be thick until about 48 hours ago when my brain slipped out while doing a pelvic floor exercise

LadyStealthPolarBear · 27/08/2009 21:36

Obviously it was me doing the pelvic floor exercise - my brain doesn't have a pelvic floor. I have some remnant of one that I'm desperate to hang on to.

Minshu · 27/08/2009 21:41

Almost literally PMSL at that, Stealth - that'll be why I'm not quite as tired as you - I keep forgetting to do my pelvic floor exercises Perhaps I should prepare by buying shares in tenalady, instead...
