So pleased to hear that all is going well LadyEm - hope you managed to get some sleep.

Audrey that it wasnt your waters going, but hey you managed to eat your dinner so thats a

Good luck MrsChemist, how exciting

Well i have now officially been pg with this baby longer than i was with dd1. By scan dates i am 36+5today and dd1 would have been 4hrs old at this point. So even though i am still 3wks away from due date i kind of feel like i am overdue now Not sure i am going to need my itsy bitsy teeny weeny babygrows now...

Sorry to see that the horrid sickness is making its way back to some of you. Thankfully it hasnt headed my way yet although i do get the odd bout of indigestion from time to time.

Neddie, enjoy your last day of being pg and will be thinking of you tomorrow

It's getting exciting now that the babies are starting to make their appearances

audreyraines · 26/08/2009 08:42

April, I'm with you - my ds would have been 4.5 hours old as well at this time this morning.

Sigh, I'm so going to get past 40 weeks this time!! Acupuncture this morning, maybe that will kick it off

And then need to yell at some morons at the bank, so if the acupuncture doesn't do it maybe that will

AprilMeadow · 26/08/2009 09:05

I have woken in a thoroughly foul mood as a result of it Audrey!! I wish i could re-set my brain and resign myself to the fact that i will be pg for at least another 3 wks!

daffodilli · 26/08/2009 09:11

This thread is too exiting for me! Good luck MrsChemist, Neddie and TheTickListQueen, 4 babies by the weekend

Sorry symptoms came to nothing Audrey and LittleCheese, I am very ready for baby to arrive now, before or after Sept 1st (!), so it must be so annoying to think 'this is it'! Luckily there are some nice 'natural induction' techniques that can be used !

blue76 · 26/08/2009 09:12

Ahh, better late than early though.

Lovely to hear you're both well, ladyem

Good luck mrschemist hoping all goes well for you.

bratnav I've been mulling over your hb advice. It sounds like your doctor is covering backs, just in case. When mw came round to the house to discuss hb, she read out all kinds of risks. Risks that can and can't be dealt with at home. Don't forget, some doctors are not in favour of hbs anyway. Do you live far from the hospital if you needed to be transferred last minute?

OP posts:
JRocks · 26/08/2009 09:15

Good luck MrsChemist!

Bratnav I'm going through something similar, the GTT ruled out GD but I still have a large baby and excess fluid. Am worried about the cord prolapse thing, but seeing a consultant later today and will be asking. I wasn't allowed a hb anyway, due to previous 'form' Maybe they are being cautious to avoid further risk?

AprilMeadow · 26/08/2009 09:15

I have been trying to ignore anything that might be a sign that things are starting. I figured that i will only end up annoying myself and dh if i keep getting excited.

It's bloody annoying because if i hadnt gotten things ready so early, bought a few tiny baby bits etc etc then maybe she might have arrived about now.

Can you tell i am a complete bundle of joy today

AprilMeadow · 26/08/2009 09:17

Blue i would prefer she were early, but perhaps once we had gotten past the 37wk mark, that way at least she would be classed as term. Early = Smaller I am all for a smaller baby

daffodilli · 26/08/2009 09:27

TBH I would rather a bigger baby, easier to handle (I'm terrified I'm going to drop him!). I'm just a bit fed up of being in so much pain and would quite like my body back, but that makes me feel really guilty so cant win really! and its still raining here, so I think I need to set up a 'fed ups' corner...

blue76 · 26/08/2009 09:28

I see what you mean, April . DDs were only tiny full term [7.3 and 7.9] so I'm hoping this one will be of similar weight. Although DD1 had a mahoosive head

Hi ladies

Just marking my spot. Am 37 weeks today (yay!) but so big and waddly. I suspect I am going to be really, really overdue. A "nice" lady said to me the other day "oh well you will be late, being as big as you, you will have a really big uterus and will be able to carry longer" - yeah thanks for that. What is it with people - why does everyone seem to think it is approporiate to comment on my size? It has happen all my life to an extent being so tall, but am getting heartly sick of it now. Am going to start being really rude back and see how they like it! (hormonal, me?) Have stepped up the raspberry leaf tabs and am determined to do some serious walking for the next couple of weeks.

Welcome Zippysmum and any news audrey?

AprilMeadow · 26/08/2009 09:46

Ds was 7.15 at 40+6 and dd1 was 5.10 at 36+5 so i would like anything in between those weights please

LadyStealthPolarBear · 26/08/2009 09:49

woo hoo my last day at work!!
Hi Zippysmum - lovely to have another set of twins on the thread - do you know if boys / girls??
Minshu, hope your last day's not too stressful.

Gonnabamumma · 26/08/2009 09:52

Sorry about the whinge before -so self obsessed

How about a list of natural techniques to get things going?

  1. Walking
  2. Sex
  3. Pineapple
  4. Nipple twiddling (not sure about this but the NCT teacher talked about it incessantly!)
  5. Curry/spicy foods
  6. anymore.....?
bratnav · 26/08/2009 09:55

Wow MrsChemist very exciting news.

JRocks, please let me know what happens with you, I have tried to call my mw but she has gone AWOL, nice timing.

I am thinking that as long as this baby arrives on or before edd I will go for a hb anyway as Dd1 was large with loads of fluid and had no trouble at all.

Very exciting with lots of babies arriving! Hopefully mine will come soon too.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 26/08/2009 09:55

And I am 37+4 and desperate to have this baby!!

BabyLady · 26/08/2009 09:57

Due date today...got to be my turn soon doesn't it???

Off to second session of acupuncture this evening and doctor's appointment tomorrow morning.

Taking myself and my Mum off to the movies this afternoon as I figure it is likley to be the last time in a while.

MrsChemist - way to go and good luck.

Audreyr, sorry not the news you wanted, but I am sure it will happen soon!

Nice to hear that everything is going so well Ladyem.

LadyStealthPolarBear · 26/08/2009 10:01

Ahh just noticed MrsChemist's post - didn't spot it before

AprilMeadow · 26/08/2009 10:12

LadyStealth hope you have a good last day at work

Babylady what are you going to see? Congrats on reaching your due date btw

Neddie · 26/08/2009 10:45

Hi all
Hello Zippysmum nice to have another set of twins on here. Mine aren't really a set they are a boy and girl (actually that is a set when you think about it). I have 23 hours till D day (does Mexican wave). I am just about bursting, everything is at full capacity. Thank you to everyone with their nice wishes, it has really helped as I am so nervous about having the CS tomorrow.
Will let you know asap.

FairySparkles · 26/08/2009 11:14
