Suspect I may sit here on my own for a few days, as found out pretty early that I'm now 3+4, due 3rd Feb 06.

I'll introduce myself anyway!

Age 31, DH 39. Live North Herts. Ttc #1 for just over 4 years, including 1 missed m/c last October.

Ecstatic to be pregnant again , but also nervous because of m/c history.

Kassie · 12/06/2005 20:32

new to all this chat stuff so bare with me! Just found out pg, babs will be secong addition to our family - first is 10 months and into everything! More than a bit surprised as tried for four years for no. 1 and only managed to hit jackpot after serious illness resulted in 5 stone weight loss! PCOS was prob so i'd assumed it'd return as I've been a little too friendly with cream cakes and take aways! Anyway it hasn't! I'm chuffed so I'm glad to be able to talk to someone about it; not telling nearest and dearest yet (except dh of course!) cos they'll be worried to death. I'm insulin dep diabetic and have just come out of hosp after an op- god I sound like a nightmare but I'm really v sane and I'm feelin funky! Who's due when?

Miranda5 · 12/06/2005 21:05

Congratulatins Cassie!! Fab news whats your due date?

Miranda5 · 12/06/2005 21:05

Sorry Kassie I know one with a C thats why!

Kassie · 12/06/2005 21:25

No problem! Due date a bit iffey as lmp date not definite, need to wait till scan which I should hear about soon. I reckon its 7th Feb but was induced at 38 weeks with ds1 so who can tell?! What's your due date? I have read through but there were so many dates... easier to ask!

popmum · 12/06/2005 21:39

Hi all - have been lurking hopefully on this thread for a bit and can now join you! I am 32 (just), DH is 39 and we have a 2 year old. I am due 12 Feb and am a bit nervous at the mo because we conceived very easily and no one i know well has had any problems so i kind of feel like something may happen to us (do you know what i mean?!) so am cautiously pleased I suppose.
Am 5 weeks today
Looking forward to sharing all the news as we go along.....how many people are on this thread now?

Kassie · 12/06/2005 21:51

Hello Popmum! I'm new and slightly worried that I'm tempting fate too! Somehow it feels like by admitting I'm pg so soon I'm asking for trouble. Does everyone feel like that or am I just ridiculous?

Morning ladies,
I am into my 6+3 and have had really sore boobs for a couple of weeks however I have got up this morning and my boobs are not sore today, I have not started to feel any morning sickness yet. Do you think I should be worried? I feel really low today because of all this....
X

YeahBut · 13/06/2005 09:21

TicTac, Unless you have bleeding, I wouldn't worry. I've found that in each of my pregnancies symptoms wax and wane for no apparent reason. Some days I'd feel sick and other days I'd be fine, some days my boobs are in agony and then they'll be fine. Try not to worry but if it will make you feel better, give your GP a visit. HTH

TicTac · 13/06/2005 09:24

Thanks Yeahbut. This is the first pregnancy I have had so I think I am just worrying about everything for no reason at all...I feel a bit daft wanting to go to the doctors though, I figure she will just tell me to wait until 12 weeks and then see...

Miranda5 · 13/06/2005 09:24

Same here Tic Tac ..I just try not to analyse every good or bad day as you get stressed by it.I am sure all is well!

Do alot of us seem to have had MISSED m/cs on this thread .I had never heared of anyone having one till I had one?

teuch · 13/06/2005 10:38

Morning all,

TicTac - I think it is normal to have on and off days...the pg hormones double every few days and your body struggles to adjust. I get severe nausea almost exactly every 60hrs! and wee mini bouts in between...

I have IBS and this has made a mammoth return...cramping, sweating, diarrhea, lying on the bathroom floor! I think its stress related since I am having awful time at work but I am worried since it is linked to increased incidence of m/c.

Hope everyone else is well.

TicTac · 13/06/2005 10:47

Thank you ladies, you are a help as ever. I have a success story..my friend has been TTC for quite some time but has blocked tubes. She was operated on about 3 months ago and the upshot is she was told the only way she would have kids is if she had IVF. Anyway, she is 7 weeks preg and due the same time as myself! Wonderful news. I would introduce her to the board but she does not have internet access I don't think.

kando · 13/06/2005 11:08

Morning all! Had a lovely weekend enjoying the sunshine on Saturday, and went with a friend to a Spa for most of the day yesterday - had a facial and a pedicure (my feet now look fab or at least my toenails do!!) Am feeling absolutely fine although boobs a bit sore last night. Had an awful night on Saturday night though - had a panic attack. Went to bed as normal, read my book and felt very tired. Every time I tried to nod off I jumped, so I couldn't get off to sleep. Then I started thinking about really stupid things like leaving my dds behind if I died, not being there for them, I convinced myself that my heart isn't working properly (because I could hear it beating so loudly!) and all sorts. I get them every now and again, they usually happen at night, and I'm guessing this one came about because of the pg, injections, moving to Holland, dd1's epilepsy and all the uncertainties of life. Finally managed to get off to sleep about 2am but woke up feeling so knackered! Fortunately though, I had a lovely day yesterday and slept like a log last night. Midwife comes back from holiday next week, so hopefully I should hear from her soon - I'm wondering what my chances are of having a scan before we go to Holland at the end of July! I think down here they only do one scan at 16 weeks, but I'll only be 12 by the time we leave. Maybe she'll let me have an early one ... Hope all you ladies are all doing OK, and congrats to all the "newbies".

BTW, here's my stats: I'm 32, DH is 35, DD1 is 4.5 and DD2 is 2.5 and they are both currently being little monsters!!

spacecadet · 13/06/2005 11:22

morning all, slept really badly last night, had loads of vivid dreams, boobshurt so much now, cant touch them at all and feel sooo tiredand just alittle queasy,
kandoo, i get panic attacks too, they are very frightening arent they?
when i get one, i just say to myself, its panic, nothing more, nothing bad will happen to me, iot does seem to help.

kando · 13/06/2005 11:31

Yes, I do that too Spacecadet, and I also try the deep breathing thing too which seems to work. I find that Bachs Rescue Remedy helps me calm down too, but I'm not sure if you can use it during pg, so didn't use it on Saturday night. It is quite scary when it's happening ... amazing what you can convince yourself is going to happen, isn't it?!

spacecadet · 13/06/2005 13:14

yes, i would err on the side of caution with the rescue remedy, i use it too but not sure if its suitible in preg, rather than deep breathing, when having a panic attack, first cup your hands round your mouth then breathe in and out, then once breathing is slower, makesure you are breathing using your tummy, not your upper chest, breathe in fior 3 and out for 4, aim for 8 breaths a min, this isreally helpful in seeing off a panic attack.

JuA · 13/06/2005 14:01

Hello all
Hope you all had good weekends. I went to see my sister and her new baby - 10 days old - I had forgotten how tiny newborn babies are!! She made dd look huge!! I have told my sister and my mum about peanut but don't think we will tell anyone else until after the 12 week scan.

ixel · 13/06/2005 14:51

I told my Mum the news. Not exactly the reaction I was expecting...
'Are you happy?'
yes.
'Oh, well is dh happy?'
Yes.
"Oh well then, if you think you can afford it thats fine".
Then she went on to tell me how it had taken a few weeks for her to 'get used to the idea' of ds's name, and could we choose something more acceptable this time!
Mums!!

BTW, I did another test today, just to see ( 4? 5?), and my feint line was a bit stronger, so feeling a bit happier.

spacecadet · 13/06/2005 15:00

i have to confess to having done yet another cb test today, dark blue cross this time

Miranda5 · 13/06/2005 15:08

I have done dozens of them and sit at night with them all under a lamp comapring lines...........

nightmare!

ixel....I am intrigued now ...what is ds's name?
