Tabs · 24/05/2005 08:11

Suspect I may sit here on my own for a few days, as found out pretty early that I'm now 3+4, due 3rd Feb 06.

I'll introduce myself anyway!

Age 31, DH 39. Live North Herts. Ttc #1 for just over 4 years, including 1 missed m/c last October.

Ecstatic to be pregnant again , but also nervous because of m/c history.

afternoon all!

just a quick update - like Tabs, my 'due date' is actually a bit earlier than I think at 26th January...I reckon it will be about 31st Jan - 2nd Feb sometime.

Anyway, I said last week that if no change then I would let the MW know so I am planning to drop-in on Thursday when I have some time off...still very nervous but trying hard to enjoy it!

I actually did another test on Friday just out of curiousity and it was great to see that line much, much darker (and more quickly!) than the last one - that was in the afternoon as well so looks like the HgC is increasing anyway.

Hope everyone is well, have to do some double-posting to the Jan thread now!

hotmama1 · 30/05/2005 23:13

Good evening girls - thought I would do a flit to the Feb thread as I am on the cusp - so to speak!

Hope you are all feeling O.K and not too sicky etc - if you are remember this is a good sign - it means your hormones are working well etc. Mind you don't get worry if you don't feel sicky - you're just lucky - but there is time!

munz · 31/05/2005 15:02

afternoon all,

i'm gonna stand in the door way if u don't mind! got a vv faint BFP yesterday (2) and DH confirmed one of them this morning (in a year of trying i've never so much as had a evap line so fairly sure) but also v v cautious as had a prev m/c at 7.5 weeks, and DH's XP also had a M/c v early on so we're going to wait till the w/e and hopefully have a strong line. i'm due 6th or 9th of feb (2 sites) my boobs have 'growth' pains behind them at the minute but that's it really. anyhow do u mind if I lurk for a bit, also bit reluctant to leave the comfort of the ttc threads!

teuch · 31/05/2005 15:34

Hi Munz - great to see you over here but I know what you mean about cautious! You might remember I demanded nobody congratulate me on the TTC thread!!

I also had m/c last time round...at about 8.5 weeks but only picked up at 11 weeks. I ignored my BFP for a week then started to get excited this week (cautiously! )

I have been feeling kinda hungover in the mornings, all hot flushes and like I ate too much the night before, and also a bit nauseous in the evenings but I keep thinking I am imagining it!

Last time I had boobs from hell...looked like something out of a carry-on film at this stage and they throbbed...I am almost wishing for that at the moment!

Tabs · 31/05/2005 16:41

Hey Munz - good to have you over here .

You're certainly not alone in not feeling ready to desert the ttc threads yet - I still post on them as much as over here.

Just taking one day at a time, and trying to stay positive. Still no symptoms for me, so all feels a bit abstract at the mo! Hopefully I'll get sore boobs in a week or two which will be strangely re-assuring!

OP posts:
munz · 31/05/2005 16:47

thnaks girls for the welcome, i've told my next door neighbour so far but that's it, and sworn her to secracy till i'm about 6 weeks, thing is thou I don't feel PG apart form the boob thing and a sore hip, I can't wait till the M/S comes on as last time I was sick as a dog!

i've ordered some CB tests online to get a definate line - I don't know weather to accept it or not yet or still wait and see. (i've been to the loo about 5 times already today expecting to see AF)

i'm a bit worried as I say that I don't feel PG, (althou last time I knew as soon as it happened I didn't have any signs until about 6 weeks when the m/s kicked in) - only had brown nipples so if u can imagion i'm getting DH to check them every night to tell me (bless him).

teuch · 01/06/2005 09:49

Hello girls - I was just having a look at BBC pregnancy calendar and according to today my embryo is officially a foetus! I am 6 weeks today according to my late ov calculations.

We have still not told a soul...I am hoping to drop into the health centre tomorrow to fill out the little form that gets me an appointment with the mw.

As for symptoms, mine come and go and mostly I think I am imagining them. However, having been unable to drop the POAS habit, I am pleased to say that my lines have been get darker and quicker so that MUST be a good sign?!

munz · 01/06/2005 16:20

afternoon all,

just wondering if anyone else had a really really sore back from early on (i'm only 4 weeks at the mo) but it's really sore on the lower back, and also my hip's are as well.

Tabs · 01/06/2005 17:21

Afternoon all.

Munz - I've had a sore back - wasn't sure if it was pregnancy or the gym/swimming that I've been doing causing it. Guess there's no way to know for sure, but I'm also pretty overweight, so that puts extra strain on it too.

Teuch - congratulations on your official foetal status!!

Kando - how you doing? Guess you're pretty busy with 2 little ones already?

ChaCha · 01/06/2005 17:29

Congratulations to all of you
Wishing you all a happy and healthy pregnancy!
How are you feeling Munz?

Hi everyone, sorry, we've been away for a few days! Haven't read all the latest threads properly but it seems like all is going well. All is going well here - although I think I'm a bit paranoid about the slightest twinge in my legs ... I'm forever having a look to make sure they are the same size and not going blue! Am seeing the doc tomorrow so should know a bit more about the situation then.

Tabs - I'm hoping the move to Holland won't complicate things too much! DH is going out next week for a quick recce so will hopefully find out as much as possible then. If there are problems with me getting the injections out there, then I think we can get them via DH's office. It's one of my worries actually - DH has "sleep" epilepsy and dd1 has just been diagnosed with epilepsy too, and they both need medication, so what with DH's pills, dd1's medicine and my injections (possibly), the Dutch "NHS" is going to love us!! Must dash as we are supposed to be going out for the day. Will check in again later. Keep smiling ladies!

Miranda5 · 02/06/2005 10:31

Hi girls - here i am but llike many of you i am making a quiet and cautious entry. I miscarried last time at 9 weeks after lots of scans and unsure if pg was 'going anywhere' it was not and i had to take a tablet and have a horrible time miscarrying.

However....waited a while and then first time lucky - not even sure when period is due ( around now) but got my positives.

I am 37 with 4 children 12,10,8 and 2. Big gap is part of the reason for no.5 as he needs a chum! I had fertility issues in between 3 and 4!
Less about me! We will celebrate later ( fingers crossed)

munz · 02/06/2005 10:50

hi girls, I think i'm heading back to the TTC boards for a while if u don't mind? did another test yesterday which was a BFN, making 2 BFP's on monday (the ultra early ones) and 2 BFN's (one tues one weds, one ultra early one CB) so I have no idea what's going on, althou there was def a faint line on the BFP's, DH even confirmed it. not bleeding, and i'm not late only time i've not had AF was cos I was PG (apart form that one a month since 11) never even had an evap line either, and the two BFN's didn't even have evap lines thinking either getting digital tests or going to the dr. feeling sick again today and peeing loads, (well one extream to the other - one pee is a tea spoon ful then the next time it's niagra falls!) sorry tmi!

anyhow, hope everyone's doing ok.

Tabs · 02/06/2005 10:52

Hey Miranda - glad you made it over .

Teuch - you sorted out your midwife appointment now? Won't get your free prescriptions until you do you know!

Kando - my DH lived in Holland for a couple of years before he met me, but he never visits doctors, so there's not much point me asking him for any info for you! He's never even met our current doctor, and is adamant that he doesn't want to be at the birth - well I'm not giving him any choice in that so tough!!

Munz - did I read on one of the threads that you're stopping swimming because you're pregnant? It's about the best form of exercise you can do when you are, so am a bit confused about why you want to give up?

Not much to report from me today. Am a bit lacking in energy at the moment, but will try and muster some enthusiasm to go to the gym in a bit. Am not working much at the mo so fortunately have lots of time to do as I please!

OP posts:
Tabs · 02/06/2005 10:56

Munzie - sorry, crossed posts! It's virtually unheard of to get a false +ve, and with no AF I really don't think that there can be much doubt that you are pregnant. I agree that you should get some more tests, and do them first thing in the morning. It's such a stressful time early on isn't it.

Hugs to you ((((((((Munz)))))))))))

OP posts:
munz · 02/06/2005 11:03

Tab - i'm only stopping for a while as when I swim i'm v v competative and like to do at least 100 lenghts in the hour, (it's not in me it go slow it's all or nothing really) and last time I went swimming (really went to town as well) and had a m/c about a week later, might be nothing but might be everything. so until we're out of the woods i'd rather give it a miss then start a water aerobix class or something? they probably do a anti natal class.

DH is still convinced we're PG, so I am trying to keep positive and stay calm. I think i'll take a sample ot the DR's. on monday or somehting to let the hormones build up (will be over a week late as well by then)

Tabs · 02/06/2005 11:08

Blimey - 100 lengths in an hour is really going some! Totally understand now where you're coming from - didn't know about the connection to last time.

Calm sounds like the way to go. Hope you'll feel able to join us wholeheartedly again soon.

OP posts:
munz · 02/06/2005 13:10

booked a dr's apt for 13th so will let u all know how I go, hopefully will try not to think about it until then - yeah right!

hope you guys all have a good first trimester until then.

munz · 03/06/2005 07:12

well girls, looks like i've started bleeding today v v watery and light thou, but I guess what ever was there won't be there later on, so I guess back to the drawing board for me.

hope everything goes ok for everyone.

kando - hope all work's out with ur friend, and she comes around.

Tabs · 03/06/2005 08:55

Oh Munz - no! I'm so so sorry . I really hope it turns out to be a bleed from implanatation or something, but guess you're not too hopeful after the negative tests too. My thoughts are with you. xx

Hello Ladies.. is there any room in here for a little one? Thanks for the link Tabs.. i feel so nervous about talking about all this though.. it's such early days.
Anyway..a bit about myself.. i'm 30, have just moved to Eastbourne with my dh and ds who is 2.2 years old. Have only been ttc for a few months so feel incredibly lucky to be here now.
Several years ago i gave birth to my beautiful baby boy James at 30 weeks, and he was still born. It was probably the lowest point of my life but i came through it and now have a wonderful ds who, although hasn't and never could replace James, he brings me so much joy and fulfilment... and he's going to make a fantastic big brother!!
I haven't read this thread yet but just wanted to say 'hi' and am looking forward to spending the next 8 months with you all.
Womba x

munz · 04/06/2005 07:42

morning girls,

well it's definatly all over by the looks of things, the DR didn't ring me back yesterday - great load of help they are in the surgery, anyhow, the bleeding got worse as the night went on at home, I had tummy cramps nausia and a really really sore back so was on the sofa for most of the night, tried to get into be and the cramping was worse - it felt like my insides were going to drop out or something, really sore and tender all across my front esp the right side (odd as I don't have a right overy), anyhow lots of crying and talking to DH later and he keeps tellling me it's not my fault I did nothing wrong - but I must have done something or my beanie would have stuck. I eel like i'm bein punished or something and god's upstairs laughing cos he know's why and I don't. at the minute all i'm really doing is crying.

anyhow i'll keep looking in on u all if u don't mind to see how u're all getting along from time to time. tabs/teuch congrats once again. hope all goes well.

YeahBut · 04/06/2005 08:23

Hi everyone, thought I'd creep in too! Positive test yesterday and again this morning. From LMP I am due on 4th Feb. I'm very excited but trying to chill out - early days yet. DD1 will be 6 and DD2 will be 4 next Feb which will be a nice gap, all things being well. I'm not telling anyone until after my first scan, even the children, so it will be nice to talk to someone about it!!

Munz, I'm so, so sorry. Don't beat yourself up about it, either. You can't do or not do anything to stay pregnant. Things just weren't right this time, but they will be sometime. Big hugs to you and your dh.{{{}}} Take care of yourself.

womba1 · 04/06/2005 08:58

Munz.. thinking of you this morning x

Tabs · 04/06/2005 10:31

Oh Munz - I'm so desperately sorry. Life doesn't seem fair sometimes, but there isn't anything you did wrong. I'm sure God's not laughing - he probably knows that there was something wrong with your beanie, and he wants to make sure that you get a perfect one because you deserve it.

Take some time out to help yourself recover a little, and get back on the treadmill that is ttc only when you feel ready.

We'll certainly miss you on this thread, but hope you'll be back on another ante-natal one soon.

Lots of love. xx
