Blimey Moos! It doesn't fit?!? You must've sprouted big style, is it the Norkage?

Sounds painful Kayz enjoy your evening all the same.

I got TONS today in the sale...but I do have 6 to buy for

Dh must feel guilty as he has cooked tea and fixed the toilet in the downstairs bathroom. He didn't even flinch when I got back from the shops laden with bags!

Hope the weather has held for you all today

Diege · 18/07/2009 19:59

Evening! Had a great afternoon shopping with friend . Got a few bits in Next sale, but also went a bit mad in H&M (LOVE their baby boy stuff), and also (surprisingly) Debenhams. Lovely to see friend again too, and J pretty good all afternoon, including lunchtime at Nandos.
SORKY, god I would have been fuming at dh for his bahaviour . Re: shopping, I think you should go again tomorrow
TINKS, good for you on getting it checked at at GUM - sounds painful, but hopefully will be gone for when you're on hols.
LB, lol at Owen weeing when he's supposedly contentedly kicking about on playmat (not a minute later than 5.45 remember ). I have to say I do snigger at the gf bits about 'having a really good rest/meal' - does 'rest', let alone a 'really good one' ever figure with a baby??? And it only gets worse...
SES, hope you had a lovely time with brother and girlfriend - do you think they'll be hearing the patter of tiny feet soon then??
Waiting for dh to get back with takeaway and dvd...looking at an hour minimum as he's going via a friend . I am soooo hungry!!! At least they'll all in bed!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend, bye for now xx

tinkisback · 18/07/2009 21:33

Kayzr · 19/07/2009 06:48

Morning,

Ankle seems to be ok now. Not as bad as orginally thought but I have an appointment tomorrow just so they can check it again.

We had a lovely time on the diner train last night. The food was gorgeous, did get a bit worried when they served the soup but there were no spillages.

Sleep has gone seriously down hill here. Friday night DS2 woke up at half 3 and only went back to sleep at 5 after I bought him into our bed. I haven't had to do that since he was about 8 weeks old. I am very tempted to get the GF book from the library and give it a go.

Hope everyone is well.

sorky · 19/07/2009 09:02

Diege · 19/07/2009 09:57

KAYZ, train trip sounds fab . I can just imagine your face when they brought the soup!
Sister and her son due over at lunch - place is a tip but I have reached the limit of my impression management, and she'll have to take us as she finds us! Hello to everyone else - hope the weather is better where you all are than here!

tinkisback · 19/07/2009 10:41

we all did very well in sales

kay - glad your ankle is better

Diege · 19/07/2009 11:29

Sister has just cancelled visit - strangely pleased . Have just rediscovered the delights of wagonwheels - they should be the wagon's honorary biscuit

Moosy · 19/07/2009 14:35

Woohoo I'm halfway there!

Just been shopping and got a top from DP in size 10 the size 8 was too small, I'm just not used to this norkage!! Got some chavtastic joggers from New Look too, but they're only for kicking around the house in and are soooooooooooo comfy I realised my jeans were making me feel ill, now I'm out of them I'm not all achey and stiff!

Mmmmmmmmm wagon wheels........

Hi!

Laptop still playing up so on phone.

Irish SIL sent me a text couple of days ago to say eldest niece (nearly 18yo) will be over in England and wants to come and stay with us for a few days! She's arriving tomorrow afternoon!! Staying til Thurs or Fri.
Also my dad's birthday so going out for lunch tomorrow with him and mum.

Niece's visit has finally forced DH to sort out sleeping arrangements. He was still in spare room whilst DS and I were co sleeping
We now have the cot up against my side of the bed with the side off. Tried it out with DS earlier - I lay down next to him and fed him and he was fine. Hope tonight will be ok for him. Will be nice to be sleeping back with DH too

tink - have a fab time!

Moos - yay for DH feeling movements!!

Lots of good shopping been going on with you guys. I'll probably go to Next with niece on Tues.

tinkisback · 19/07/2009 18:33

sorky · 19/07/2009 20:55

have a good holiday Tink

Moos I've found a white linen shirt/tunic. Do you want it?

Kayzr · 20/07/2009 07:20

Morning,

Tink, have a lovely holiday!!

Sorky, that shopping looks good!! I want to buy a sofa. Ours is horrible!!

Ses, I had forgotten you hadn't been in the same bed. Must be really nice to be sharing a bed again.

Moos, Yay for DH feeling movements!

We took the boys to Malton Show yesterday. DS1 loved it, he was climbing on tractors, stroking cows and goats. Will have to take him to a different one I think. I got sunburnt though, it doesn't hurt too much but I feel so blooming hot!

Hope you are all well!

Diege · 20/07/2009 09:20

Morning Hope you have a great holiday TINK and that the packing wasn't too stressful. Have to start some lists for our fortnight away; dread to think how much stuff 4 Los will need!
Hope your new sleeping arrangements worked out last night SES
KAYZ, Malton show sounds great. Assume the Whitby regatta thingy is on again this year? (with rides etc on the pier?) The dds loved it last year, and also love the little rides on the corner of the beach road (esp 'House of Mouse!')
Friend coming round later and we're going out for lunch. Should be ok, though she's always telling me she doesn't like babies at all which is an odd situation in which to show off your new baby! Putting increased offer in on dream house today too, but have a good second choice lined up so this will be our last offer on first choice.
J slept from 10.30pm till 6am last night!!! However, never settled at 7 and was awake all evening, so more down to tiredness that being ready to go through night I think. Still, feel recharged although I think I prefer my evenings and a 3am feed, though it's a close call!

Kayzr · 20/07/2009 09:23

Yes it is. We were thinking of going this year but it is always so busy we tend to avoid it.

Diege · 20/07/2009 10:04

I know the streets are heaving! I think we feel obliged because we're on holiday, but would probably avoid like the plague if we were local!

essenceofSES · 20/07/2009 10:18

Morning!

New sleeping arrangements mixed. I put DS in his sleep suit and fed him downstairs at about 9.45pm where he dozed off on me. Took him upstairs and put him in his cot and I went to bed beside him. He stayed asleep for 20mins so then I moved across half onto his mattress and fed him. He stayed on his cot mattress (except for 2am sit up fed) until 4.30am which I'm pleased with. Only problem is that he only stayed there with me sleeping across my mattress and his. It wasn't really v comfy and I gave up at 4.15 when my back felt a bit buggered! As a result, 15 mins later I moved DS onto my mattress. After a feed we both then slept well.
Other downside was that DH decided to still sleep in spare room as he wanted to get a good nights sleep as he's working 7am - 9pm today. Didn't make a fuss but was a bit disappointed. He won't have much choice tonight as niece will be in spare room!

Apologies as I've waffled for ages about all of that and now can't remember anything else. Will try and go back and catch up

idreamofbeanie · 20/07/2009 10:32

Morning all,

after a rubbish week last week I am finally feeling better and have a little energy. I think I had a virus - DP had all the same symptoms as me, no energy, slight headache, shivery and feeling too full/bloated too eat even when hungry. It was awful, especially as I had to come in to work for 2 long days on Wednesday and Friday, but I'm really really glad it wasn't just third trimester symptoms. Was dreading another 10 weeks like that. A lazy weekend with loads of sleep and a small shopping trip with DP on Sunday to buy last few baby bits we needed (and a few small toys we didn't ) have sorted me out and I feel lots better today. Still, I am going to have to give in very ungracefully and tell my boss I have to slow down a bit. Wednesday I was up at 5.30am and didn't get home till midnight, I just can't handle that anymore!

It sounds like you lot all had good weekends too with lots of shopping.

Tink - have a fab hol!
Ses - hope the sleeping arrangements worked out and you enjoy having your niece over to visit.
Diege - when are you off on hols? How is the squatting going? Hope you have a nice lunch with your friend.
Kay - hope the ankle and sunburn are better today
Moos - yah for DH feeling movements. My DP has only just started to believe he is really feeling kicks, until now he thought it was just my stomach growling . He kept saying it didn't feel like a kick even though I could clearly feel that's what it was. Hooray for halfway too!

NatalieJane · 20/07/2009 10:43

Morning

Have read everything but it's gone I'm afraid, good shopping though

We've all got the poorlies, DH is home today sick almost never heard of, so he must be bad. DS1 and 2 are pretty much over it, still a bit snotty but more or less better, DS3 is full of it, coughing wheezing, snotty, slight temp. etc. he is still eating/drinking, well he is leaving 1 or 2 oz's a bottle, but I can handle that, so not too worried. Am actually really hoping it is this swine flu (have been a few cases in our road and at DS1's school), at least then if we've all had it we don't need to worry about the next 'wave' of it in October, which is when we are hopefully going to be moving etc. and as bad as we all feel now, it isn't like we're dying or anything so finger's crossed, it's over with!

Went to see some houses yesterday, a bit dissapointing really, they just seemed so small, after seeing pictures on RightMove, one that we went to see, brand new 5 bed det. looks enormous from the outside, stone built, big gardens, on paper everything we want and more, got there, the dining room (which bearing in mind with 5 double bedrooms, it is supposed to be a house that can house 10 people) we wouldn't even get our dining table and chairs in it (table is 7ft long), it was absolutely tiny, and yet on the picture it seemed so big and spacious

Right, time to move methinks, house looks like a bomb has hit it, we've barely touched it last few days... Will catch up proper when my head doesn't feel like it's made of jelly! xxx

Diege · 20/07/2009 11:05

Not bad then SES! Shane about dh though - still, something to look forward to when he finally returns I suppose!
IDOB, omg those hours are horrendous! I would def have a word with boss, don;t know how you've coped up to now! Hols are first 2 weeks in August up in Whitby - because we haven;t got a 7 seater car, I'm travelling up separately in train with J. Thought at first it would be awful, but thinking more think I've probably got a pretty good deal
NAT, know what you mean about house sizes - same thing here for us with the 2 we viewed yesterday. As you say, once you've seen a bog one all the others seem tiny (oo-err missus!!).
Right, better tidy up a bit for visitor!
