Evening all!

Poor you, Ses. We've all had moments like that (well, I know I have!) - I really clonked DD's head when she was about 2 weeks old as I sat down into a rocking chair to feed her. Felt just awful and cried more than she did! Cinema sounds fun though. I read the book and loved it, so a bit wary of seeing the film.

Diege - sorry about the maternity pay situation. You have reminded me I need to chase mine up adn make sure it's set up - am due to get SMP only, but anything is better than nothing.

Love the barn conversion, Lightning, really unusual. Sorry to hear about your Dad - I am in contact with mine, but he's pretty useless. Don't feel bad about protecting your family from the negativity. I won't allow my DD to see my aunt or grandfather becuase of issues that arose around my mum. families, eh?

IDOB - can't believe you worked that late! And good for you for taking the time to go to the coffee morning. I don't know what I would've done without my NCT friends in those early days with DD - just brilliant being able to meet up woth other people going through the same things.

Hope your evening in remained quiet, Star!

Kay - sorry work is boring.

Hi STT! DD is also starting preschool next week. She's grown up so quickly. Hope you manage to find time to get the baby's room sorted once DS goes back next week. (FWIW I am 39 weeks today and STILL not completely prepared - still need to finish LO's room, pack hospital bag and get last bits ready for HB!)

Right I have had it with my children!!! DS2 had screaming fits when we tried to put him to bed at 9pm. He was asleep on the floor so we thought it would be easier to put him to bed. Wrong!!

He then woke at 2 so DH did him a bottle and then I didn't get back to sleep until half 3.

THEN!! DS1 woke up at quarter to 6!! A lie in for us is 6am.

Hope you all got more sleep than me!!

Diege · 27/08/2009 09:04

Morning! Not quite as bad as you KAYZ, but dd3 did have me awake from 3.20am till 5.30 ish if that's any consolation! Let's hope we get easy days with the little buggers angels today
Hope everyone is well and had better night's sleep. Meant to say yesterday NAT that when your driving instrictor says they'd trust you to drive and get them things from the shops it means you have moved away from looking like a learner driver and have that confidence that means you are potentially test standard. Never got there myself, and mine was always telling me I was almost there, but I didn;t qualify for the elusive 'shop visit'!

Diege · 27/08/2009 09:05

Oh and the only way I got dd3 to settle in the early hours was to promise a 'big bag of haribos' today - desperation does strange things to you! She's not forgotton either!

glaskham · 27/08/2009 09:07

poor you Kayz- that's not so good.

I didn't get the best nights sleep, DD2 fed 4 times between 10pm and 6am... However- we put DS to bed in just undies for the first night ever..... he didn't have a single accident!! wuhoo!!! I'm so chuffed with him!! Yesterday he just asked if he can start wearing undies to bed instead of pull-ups, so i said we could try it for a week and see how he got on...

I'm off shopping tomorrow for Dh's suit and the DC's coats!! Getting excited- mum is having all 3 Dc's!! have got some expressed milk in the freezer- gonna take it out to defrost overnight. Looking forward to a bit of free time to myself!! first time since DD2 was born!!

glaskham · 27/08/2009 09:13

mmmmm haribo!!! your DD has good taste in sweets Diege!! Though you must have been very desperate to agree to that!! I pleaded for another hour this morning with a promise of a trip to the park... however- the weather is awful!!

Diege · 27/08/2009 09:36

Morning GLASK! No dcs and a shopping list sounds like bliss

glaskham · 27/08/2009 09:47

argh- DH is workng a 12hr shift!!! i'm never gonna last the day!!!

bodenaddict · 27/08/2009 10:17

oh glask exciting it is great when you can go shopping by yourself
want to hear all about purchases when you get back

www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Girls-Nightwear/Dressing-Gowns/34096/Girls-Teddy-Dressing-Gown.html

think i will have to get dd1 this as well as other bits

Diege · 27/08/2009 12:23

Hi BODEN! Dressing gown is great. I've had them for dds from there in the past and they last years
GLASK, had thought shopping trip was today - at least you have it to look forward to, and to get you through the day!
Just ordered dd3 some kickers boots, really cute (from Next Directory), pink with silver detail; TINK - have you partaked of a purchase for dds from there yet, or are you Bodening instead?? )

glaskham · 27/08/2009 12:24

right have been lurking since this morning while checking my ebay and looking for a christening gift for my nephew... think i've found something finally....

this or this.... if i get the second set then he gets the cutlery aswell, and i can also afford to get him something else. Have already bought him this top and these jeans too. Just want something a little traditional aswell.

glaskham · 27/08/2009 12:25

x-posted Diege... no shopping trip is tomorrow, dont get paid till then... no link to the boots?

glaskham · 27/08/2009 12:29

ooh- just realised we're soon gonna be needing a new thread....
any title ideas?

glaskham · 27/08/2009 12:33

new thread see you all over there!!

Diege · 27/08/2009 12:37

Can;t do links , but if you can be bothered they are pretty easy to find under designer brands in Next Directory, then kickers, then you'll see them in all their pink and silver glory

Re: pressies, Emma Bridgewater stuff is gorgeous, I love the set with the cutlery. Plus those jeans and top are great . Very tempted, but J's niece has bought him some diesel jeans and an evisu t-shirt that I am currently drooling over...I never thought shopping for boys could be so much fun

Diege · 27/08/2009 12:37

ooh right, will get myself over there!!

glaskham · 27/08/2009 12:39

i remember when we were in gap and you were saying how shopping for boys was so strange- i knew you'd get into it in no time!!
