here we go...
Guess in the next one will be the one where we'll be waiting for the first kick! hooray it's the weekend! i haven't had any stretchy stomach feelings, maybe a quiet period pain rumble (!? is that what you mean?) well what a beautiful day i'm lying on sofa under a blanket, laptop on lap and sky baby channel on in background (i've just shed a few tears of happiness for a manchester mum who has just screamed her head off and given birth to a baby boy).

can't remember who asked - cads? re: measurement of c to r . i had one scan at 11+1 babe was 4.5 and another at 12+2 and it measured 6.0 cm.

have good sats jen

Thanks for the great messages all!
lol Rodeo! I'm dying my hair tonight too! Very light bleached blonde!!!
I'd be up for a northern meet up (if i'm invited).
Good luck on the Transatlantic trip Jen and take care!
Rodeo- I agree about taking some people off the stats list. Feel free to remove me hun. This thread seems to be now just the die hard few lol.

HellKat · 02/06/2005 18:38

P.s Ds2 started walking Friday!! Also better bathe him quick as he's toddling around in just a t-shirt fiddling with himself. Don't fancy cleaning up a puddle.

twinkle1 · 02/06/2005 19:37

hellkat, you are more than welcome to come to a northern meet up

ChaCha · 02/06/2005 20:29

Hi, how is everyone?
Thanks for advice on blood tests etc..I am really, really squeamish! Worst of all, they always find it difficult to take my blood which makes matters worse. Oh well...roll on next week!

Am feeling better these days, seem to have a good appetite (esp for grapefruit and wotsits!) and am keeping most food down Do seem to sleep an awful lot more though and have missed out on a few good social gatherings - rather curl up with a book these days (29 going on 59)

Anyway, enough of me...anyone around?

BEKsmum · 02/06/2005 22:58

Evening girls, HK sweetheart good to have you back sorry the news wasn't as good as we would have all liked. Hope things start to improve for you soon as you've really had a rough time of it so far haven't you.

How lovely that ds2 is walking it always looks so cute when they are just learning. Had to lol at the image of the tee-shirt I think my ds was a late developer and has only just found his at the age of three but is more than making up for lost time fiddling with it. He was scared of it at first when we started potty training so I've told it's his to do what he likes with - needless to say now he can't leave it alone - typical man

Diege yep same sort of feelings here got a bit worried as hadn't really felt anything this week but had 16 week check up today and heard heartbeat which made me feel much better.

Blood pressure is still rather high so they are going to do a kidney scan at my 23 week scan just to make sure that I'm not doing myself any real damage, was nagged about not drinking enough ho hum.

How the bloody hell are you so small if you were a 3 bar a day girl, what were they 'cos whatever they were I'll have to try them when I'm dieting next time round
Ouch at the spending spree, my dh would have a fit!

Have a great holiday I'll catch up with you on the 16th when I get back from Spain, 10 days visiting my parents - can't wait roll round Sunday.

Rodeo you lucky thing, we all know what you'll be up to this evening and if you weren't already on this thread you'd probably be joining a later one after a full night off from the kids Hope you have a really nice meal and lots of fun with your hubby and get to remember what it was like pre kids.

My parents have promised us a few evenings out on our own while we're away, must find a book on small talk about things other than ds and bump so that we don't just sit around looking at each other all evening

Chacha sweetheart try not to worry about the blood tests too much they'll be over before you know it and I can assure you nothing will worry or embarrass you ever again after this baby makes an appearance. By the time all the tests have been completed during this 40 weeks you'll find giving blood as easy as downing your favourite tipple and I bet you'll even consider giving blood you'll find it so easy And just think when no. 2 comes along you won't even bat an eye lid at blood tests, you'll just hold up your arm and say go on then. By the way didn't have bloods at 16 weeks have them at 28 & 34 weeks instead so you may get away with it if you're really lucky!

Right better go as dh is waiting to get on here to finish his game and he's been to the pub after work so I'll probably have to go and wake him up off the sofa 'cos I've been on here so long.

Hope everyone is well and that Jenjam has a safe trip I'm sure I said that to her before! Speak to you all tomorrow. Beks 16+4

busyalexsmummy · 03/06/2005 10:04

just thought id pop on here quickly, got a phone call from dr yesterday afternoon advising me to make an appt asap for more bloods to be done as my bloods done at my booking in appt have come back abnormal, apparently my red blood cells are over large and there are few of them which apparently combined with the protein in my urine can signal the begginning of kidney failure-yikes!
so im off down the dr's at 11am then off to see the chiropractor about the spd-joy!
I'll pop on tonight if i have time and let you know how i got on as im away all weekend on a course.
hope everyones well xxL

BEKsmum · 03/06/2005 10:15

Busy what a nightmare, hope all goes ok at the dr's, try not to worry too much it's a good sign that they've picked it up so quickly. Hope the Chiropractor helps too.

Enjoy your course and if I don't see anything from you tonight I'll speak to you when I get back on the 16th, will keep everything crossed for you till then.

ChaCha · 03/06/2005 10:38

Morning Beks Lucky old you! Spain indeed! Humph..

Busy - let us know how it goes.

Am off to Wales this weekend so have a great weekend all of you...(hugs)

HellKat · 03/06/2005 11:50

Morning all.
Good luck at the dr's Busy.
Beks- How do you fancy a very heavy suitcase laden with myself, dp and 2 ds's? lol only joking. Have a great time!
Had blood test and got home and did pg test. Bloody positve (albeit faint) which means the hormone test will show aswell. Don't know whether this means ectopic or yet more crap left behind. Will find out Tuesday.
Have a great weekend all.
Will be trying to find a way to sneak an extra four people away with Beks

Bains · 03/06/2005 12:54

Went to have my second appointment and heard the baby's heart beat...it blew my mind....sounded like galloping horses... really fast. Sometimes I forget there is a little person in there....

Busy - hope things go ok with the tests.

Beksmums - have a great time in Spain...lots of sun ..I am so jealous!

Hamster - thanks for Bio-oil tip I might try that...

Diege - I am bit confused you had a cervical scan ? I haven't had one of those yet and I was told not to go for my regular cervical cancer test until after pregnancy....are we talking about the same thing ?

Anyway must go....can feel rumbling belly...must have food...

busyalexsmummy · 03/06/2005 15:38

Got back from dr's, had tests, the results will prob be back next friday.
Went to the chiropractor, she was shocked out out of alignment my pelvis is-my pelvis twisted to the left and tilted outwards?!?
so...Im going for my first treatment first thing monday morning-£40 f*cking quid+ £30 a session after that!-ekkkkkk!
(she thinks I need about 8 treatments roughly=£240!!)

see you all after the weekend x

rodeo1 · 03/06/2005 16:19

Hello all,

Have a lovely time in Spain Beks - we'll miss you! (and your super long posts )

Been to Happy Hens Farm today which was good, apart from ds shoving straw down another boy's t-shirt in front of his mum! Tried to make him sorry but he's just so stubborn! Got a sulky 'sorry' out of him eventually but it was embarrasing!

Sorry to hear about the chiropractor, Busy. Why do things like that alway's come when the bank balance is low? Our car's playing up at the mo too, looks like we'll have to get another, but it's such a pain!

Hope everyone is ok, weather's been really warm and sunny today, just started to spot though now, just in time for the weekend! At work later, so i'll speak to you all tomorrow

18+2 x x x

hamster · 03/06/2005 17:10

Afternoon,

Hope you are all well. Phew-chaotic day. Work, mountain of ironing, cleaning etc etc, I won't bore you, but I'm SO TIRED!

Bains-Glad your appointment went well. I reckon hearing the heart beat is one of the best things during pregnancy. I had mine Tuesday, it's made my week!

Am very of anyone having abroad hols. We got a week booked in South Devon in September, hope the weather is nice!

Well, hope you all have a good weekend

I'm really beginning to feel movement now. I have to be lay down quietly reading or watching T.V though. I actually felt it kick from the outside with my hands, so dp will be able to soon(when he's patient enough!)

Busy-I hope everything's ok with your blood test. Bit out of the blue-hey?! Have you felt well though?

BEKsmum · 03/06/2005 17:31

HK you're all more than welcome to be packed in my suitcase. Hope all goes well on Tuesday you know you'll be in my thoughts even though I can't post.

Ouch Busy the pelvis and the cost sound painful, hope it sorts it's self out quickly. Hope blood tests are ok

Sorry Rodeo won't type so much in future, you can tell I've only got a 3 year old for company all day can't you

Chacha enjoy your weekend away.

Right off to iron, pack & clean from now till Sunday so I'll speak to yo uall when I get back, look after yourselves
Beks 16+5 but 18+4 by the time I get back

HellKat · 03/06/2005 17:39

Yay Beks, see you there! Lol.
Take care and safe, happy hols!!!

mummygow · 03/06/2005 20:56

HK hope all goes well on Tuesday

Hope everyone who is going away has great fun!!

I dont think I'm really feeling any movement - I am just over 18 weeks but I thought I would have felt movement earlier as its my second pregnancy am I being paranoid?

HellKat · 04/06/2005 07:16

Thanks Mummy!
I did'nt feel any movement with ds2 until I was around 18 weeks. But when he did, it was'nt gentle and definitely no mistaking it!

rodeo1 · 04/06/2005 14:05

Hi HK, how are you keeping darling? Hope there's no more hold ups to keep you from trying again lovey, hope all goes well on Tues too. How cute does your ds look toddling this weekend?, the clever boy?!

Mummygow, think I felt my 2nd around the 18 week mark, so I'm sure you'll be feeling something soon! Try not to worry!

I'm doing a stint at work later, only 3 til 6, but it really puts the day on hold, what a pain! Oh well can use it as an excuse not to do the weekly shop today! Chinese for tea maybe!

Am I right in thinking Enthusia is on hols? Chacha's been a bit quiet too lately - hope you're both OK, girls. Speak to you all soon, have lovely weekends all,

18+3 x x x

This threads getting rather long - I'm going to start a new one!

rodeo1 · 04/06/2005 14:06
