here we go...
Guess in the next one will be the one where we'll be waiting for the first kick! hooray it's the weekend! i haven't had any stretchy stomach feelings, maybe a quiet period pain rumble (!? is that what you mean?) well what a beautiful day i'm lying on sofa under a blanket, laptop on lap and sky baby channel on in background (i've just shed a few tears of happiness for a manchester mum who has just screamed her head off and given birth to a baby boy).

can't remember who asked - cads? re: measurement of c to r . i had one scan at 11+1 babe was 4.5 and another at 12+2 and it measured 6.0 cm.

have good sats jen

Hi Enthusia, how are you enjoying the break? Hopefully you're getting plenty of rest and TLC.
Coke on tap - yum! Its definitely a temporary fix for me as after a while metal mouth comes back with full force and i'm loaded with softmints at the moment to change that horrible taste in my mouth.
One more day till the holidays...yeeeee hah!

twinkle1 · 26/05/2005 17:57

strange that everyone likes coke im addicted to pepsi max at the min and thought it was just methe weather here is great hope it lasts all weekend

JenJam · 26/05/2005 17:57

we are very very lucky indeed. After a good weep of relief, we can't stop grinning at each other Thank you all very very much for caring about us.

HellKat · 26/05/2005 18:00

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great news!!!!! Such a big relief!

CADS · 26/05/2005 18:02

Fantastic news! So happy for you and your dp. Hope things are nice and smooth for you from now onwards. X

BEKsmum · 26/05/2005 18:09

Jenjam, thinking of you and your dp, hope he gets home soon so you can put an end to this waiting, still got everything crossed for you and sending you lots of cyber luck.

Diege we do seem in synch don't we, we'll have to take a sweepstake nearer the time to see who pops first I also love diet coke, gave it up for ds but am finding it more difficult this time, my mum nags me something rotten about drinking it as apparently it leaches the calcium from your bones but hey I'll deal with that problem later!

Did you get the school you wanted for your little one or have you had to fight for a place like some of the mums round here?

Chacha enjoy the holidays won't you and make sure you get some rest, the rest of us will be wishing the holidays round as fast as possible so we can get the little darlings back to school but you enjoy your break while the rest of us are pulling our hair out

My ds has been child from hell today, he's over tired and completely doing my head in, he also has a bit of cold so is a constant snot monster. Days like these make me think can't wait till November - NOT.

Twinkle have a great weekend away, enjoy the break and don't do anything to strenuous, don't want to hear you've been rock climbing or abseiling all weekend!!!

Right going to go and have my dinner now, speak to you all later, will check in to see how Jenjam gets on.

Beks 15+4

rodeo1 · 26/05/2005 18:11

Jenjam, how fantastic!!! Brilliant!!!!

Just think they know the sex of your baby now from your amnio, obviously the last thing on your mind now though - sorry I think I've got a baby gender, baby name obsession at the moment!

Can't stay on for long, at work again tonight, just off to read that thread HK recommended!

x x x 17+1

BEKsmum · 26/05/2005 18:12

Bugger me take an age to type a message and sort out a tantruming toddler and you miss the good news.

Jenjam am absolutely thrilled for you, so glad that everything is going to be ok. Here's to a quiet & smooth rest of the pregnancy. I think you deserve a glass of wine after all that trauma am now grinning from ear to ear on your behalf.

JenJam · 26/05/2005 18:27

I am so happy. James is happy. It is very good news. I can hand on heart say that I wish I hadn't casually said yes to a nuchal and shudder to think of what could've happened with the amnio. I genuinely think I would rather not have had to make that impossible choice. But I couldnt' face not knowing once they told me 1:2 risk factor. I felt totally stuck; on a rollercoaster. I couldn't face terminating simply because of DS, yet I was very frightened what it would mean for us/our life together. I feel very lukcy that i do not have to choose anything at all.

BTW can't remember who said something about finding out gender but when i felt really really sad and negative on Tuesday I ticked the do you want to know the gender box on the consent form....so it's only a matter of days before they send me a letter. I really would like to know whether all this anxiety and worry has been over a boy or a girl.

anyway...we're going out for a nice evening meal. and maybe even a little droplet of celebratory vino. we're all starving!

OP posts:
rodeo1 · 26/05/2005 18:35

Sorry Jenjam that was me going on about gender, I hope I've not pushed you into anything! You don't have to tell anyone - or you could just rip up the letter (Hmmm, or you could send the letter on to me I could find out for you and pass the info on to you if you wanted )

rodeo1 · 26/05/2005 18:36

Just reread your post - you DO want to know! - I'll stop feeling so guilty now!

ChaCha · 26/05/2005 18:39

Good news Jenjam!!!! Have a great evening, you deserve it!

Laylasmum · 26/05/2005 19:10

fab news jenjam!!!

hamster · 26/05/2005 20:14

Good evening, Wow I'm 17 weeks today..woo hoo, it's flying this time round!

Wonderful news jenjam. You deserve good news after all the worrying you've done.

We've decided we wouldlike tofind out the sex of the baby, we did with ds and I'm glad we did. It's nice to buy clothes and decorate the nursery before baby gets here.

Diege, have a look in H&M, they do some under bump jeans for about £25. I haven't been able to find any others in the shops, just online and in catalogues.
I hate my clothing situation, I've mainly bought skirts so far, but the weather has been crap so I've had to hang over my old stuff for now!

Has anybody else been suffering from bad headaches? Just the past few weeks I've noticed that there's more days with these bad heads than without them. I think I'm aneamic(sp?)too, Have been coming out in bruises all on my arms and legs. Can't get app at docs till next week though.....grrrr

Well enough of my jibber jabber,
I hope you're all well anyway.
I am off to bed to pass out now....night night x

CADS · 26/05/2005 20:19

Hope everyone is having a nice evening.

Beksmum - I see it's your turn today. Is there going to be a full moon tonight? DS was a darling today but now that I've said it, he'll most probably turn into lucifer tomorrow.

Have been scrolling down this thread and we seem to be missing some bodies:

Panther, Cuppatea, Tex111, Flowerlady, Alicemama, Chocolatequeen, CharlieJ, Tania2, Lola01, Lisalisa, Koalabear - Hope everything is going well for you. I am hoping that you either lurking or your lives are more exciting than mine. Drop us a line if you have a moment. Hope you don't think I am being nosy.

Tex111 - Are you back from Texas yet?

Dangirl, Peepee, CP3 & LexyB - If you out there, my thoughts and best wishes to you all. I hope that your pain is getting easier to live with and that you'll have some good news to tell us in the future.

Right I'm off, well actually, I'm being kicked off by dh.

Sleep tight.
X

CADS · 26/05/2005 20:27

Hi Hamster,

Don't think I've spoken you for a while. I've been having bad headaches for the last couple of weeks. More days than not.

My MW checked my blood pressure on tues which was fine. Not sure whether I might be anaemic though, don't think so. I've put the headaches down to tension and bad posture. I had headaches when pregnant with ds too, and there was nothing wrong with me then, so I'm sure it is ok this time too.

Go see your GP/MW if you're concerned. Better to have things checked out than not.

Goodnight.

ChaCha · 26/05/2005 20:55

Whoopeeeee! DH has agreed that he'd like to know the sex of the baby toooo...never thought he would

KristinaM · 26/05/2005 22:31

Jenjam - thats wonderful news, we are all so pleased for you

Try not to think about the what ifs.....what if the result had been different etc. None of us know what we would do until we are in such a situation.......just be grateful to God/fate/medical science/whatever you believe in that you dont have to make that decision . I'm sure that you and your Dp will feel very shakey for the next few days so be good to yourselves.

Hellkat - so sorry about your loss. Hope all the medical bit goes Ok

I already know the sex of our baby. But still have no idea about names. Was like this last time - was sure that when baby was born we would be inspired. Didnt happen. The poor wee mite had two different names in the first 24 hours then we eventually decided on a third which he still has!!!

My only excuse is that we both have very large families and lots of the names we like are already "taken" by siblings or cousins. Also coz we have lots of kids already we feel the name has to "go " with the others IYSWIM

Kristina
14 ish ( thats weeks gestation not my age )

HellKat · 27/05/2005 06:04

Morning all!
Thanks Kristina.
Got the final blood test this morning and have to ring for the results at 3.30pm! Have no idea what's going on or if we're coming or going. Keeping fingers crossed it's not ectopic and that it's some other dodgy pain.
Cads- Good point about not seeing alot of the girls. Wonder where they are.
Have a great day all (supposed to be boiling here). Just put the washing out and it's very warm and humid already! Will let you all know what the results are.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx

CADS · 27/05/2005 07:11

Hey, HK, do you live in a different time zone or sometime! Why you are you always up at the crack of dawn.

Bl**dy dh woke me up so that my excuse for being here at 7am. If I had anything to do with it, I would still be fast asleep, especially as ds is sleeping like a little angel. He usually wakes up between 7-8am. Hope your results are positive today. Hope the day won't drag too much.

Just hope everything is ok with our missing ladies.

KristinaM - are you going to keep us in suspense re the sex. I am hopeless with names too. The biggest problem is that dh and I don't like each others choices. Well, to be honest, I hate the names dh comes up with.

Spoke to soon about ds. Will be back later.

CADS · 27/05/2005 07:12

Left my brain in bed, better go and find it!

mawbroon · 27/05/2005 07:55

Chacha

Got your message on October thread. No worries about the info - I just didn't like the thought of someone who is entitled to the benefit not claiming.

Re Maw Broon - yes that's where I got my nickname from after my boobs ballooned in week 5!

Have a good weekend all.

Enthusia · 27/05/2005 08:11

Hiya all

JenJam - Fab news!!!! Here's to a worry free pg from here on, I think you have had to do 9 months of worry in just a few days!!!!!

I have been having headaches too, these are really annoying as I never have headaches, ever, can't remember my last one. Find the only thing that helps is lying down with one of those cold, from the freezer, eye packs on, very relaxing!!

It is really hot here already today, can't wait to get out in it, although I am trying to save all my new summer clothes for my little holiday next week, so might be going out in a polo neck and thick jeans

I think we have decided not to find out the sex of the baby as we would like to wait for the suprise, something else to look forward to at the birth.

Hope you all have a fab day.

16 today!!!!!!!!!!!
