here we go...
Guess in the next one will be the one where we'll be waiting for the first kick! hooray it's the weekend! i haven't had any stretchy stomach feelings, maybe a quiet period pain rumble (!? is that what you mean?) well what a beautiful day i'm lying on sofa under a blanket, laptop on lap and sky baby channel on in background (i've just shed a few tears of happiness for a manchester mum who has just screamed her head off and given birth to a baby boy).

can't remember who asked - cads? re: measurement of c to r . i had one scan at 11+1 babe was 4.5 and another at 12+2 and it measured 6.0 cm.

have good sats jen

JenJam - I'd be interested in a London meet up. I live in Surrey so only takes me half an hour to Victoria. I don't know any Mum round here either - well other than those of the kids I teach and that's not quite the same!!!!!!!!

rodeo1 · 27/05/2005 18:07

Aw jenjam, you are on your own aren't you! I'm in too, it's horrible when you've got a cold, the heat make's me feel so much stuffier! Got to go to work later, I could really do with a laze in garden!

Just scoffed a baked potato with chicken curry, and now i'm really stuffed which isn't a good idea because I really need to do a whirlwind tidy-up before work!

HK hope you are ok, speak to you all tomorrow

BEKsmum · 27/05/2005 21:19

Evening all, I've got over the hump and am feeling better, sorry to moan earlier.

HK hope everything is ok, sending you cyber {{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

I'm sure I'm not getting all the posts at the moment as some of the conversations aren't making sense. Jenjam hope you're feeling better only picked up on this from Rodeo. Will get dh to check it for me.

Hope everyone has a great bank holiday, better go as dh was trying to play his game and I've kicked him off for two seconds.

Speak to you all over the weekend.

ChaCha · 28/05/2005 10:25

Morning all,
Hi Beks - you should have seen the message i typed yesterday was very lucky that the laptop connection decided to fail as i clicked on 'send message'! I too am feeling better today.
Here's too a 'feel good' weekend!

Not sure where the sun is this morning but hope it makes an appearance soon. Will go and have brekkie now. Any news HK?

rodeo1 · 28/05/2005 13:45

Sorry to confuse Beks, when I said she was on her own, I meant on the thread not life in general!! She typed about 5 messages, I think and then asked 'where are you all?' Hope that clears it up!

Have still got my cold, took 2 ibroprufen's yesterday as didn't have any paracetamols. Now a bit worried as didn't read the label beforehand. I think they're alright to take aren't they? It didn't say don't take if you are pg, but I still feel stupid!

I'm wearing a smock style top today and it makes me look preg instead of just tubby! I don't think I'll be able to resist sticking my tum out even further in asda later!

Hope everythings ok HK x

Have a good weekend everyone!

rodeo1 · 28/05/2005 14:25

Just ben reading the pregnancy board reading 'Baby Names'and have been pissing myself laughing! There's a woman halfway down the thread called jaysmum and I just found her post hilarious!!! Won't spoil it for you - go and read it!

ChaCha · 28/05/2005 17:58

Howdy Rodeo - cold any better?

Have just slept for 3 hours!! In the middle of doing the washing just went for the dreaded 'lie down' and didn't wake up for hours. Feeling quite tired these days. Anyone else?
Have just noticed i have developed some kind of rash and will have to visit the GP - i hope that's all it is.

Where is everyone today? DH is still working and every seems to have gone away for weekend. Humph!

rodeo1 · 29/05/2005 12:12

Hello everyone - where are you all?!

Hopefully having a lovely weekend! I'm still stuffed up with cold, had a lovely morning to myself as dp took both children to karate. It was ds's first go at it - he looked so cute in his tiny karate suit! Going swimming later this afternoon - hope my cossie still fits!

Speak to you all later

Bains · 29/05/2005 13:57

Hiya, I just logged in to see how things went with Hellkat....obviously no news on anything yet.

We haven't gone away for the weekend ...stupid us thinking the weather would stay good...oh well. Still London is great when everyone is out of town.

As for meeting up....I think its a great idea if everyone can find a suitable place. Just let me know. I am flexible....I do live central (london) but I dont mind doing a journey dependant on where everyone is.

Re the Ibuprofen....dont worry about it Rodeo. I went into see my doctor about a cold and she said it was fine...I think the caution on the packaging is to protect the manufacturer more than anything. Plus if you didn't take too many...its not big deal. Its too easy to worry about these things and I guess the worry affects the baby more...(or so my mum keeps telling me when I worry!).

Anyway must go and join the rest of the world now...my hubby is begining to think I am so sad as I am hooked on checking the thread to see what everyone is up to.

Anyway have a good rest of the weekend.

Bains · 29/05/2005 14:03

PS: I just was catching up on an old thread and read the thing about small babies at the first scan being girls. I am so convinced I am having a girl now...keep thinking up girls names.....! Can't wait to find out. PS does anyone get windy (sorry to ask this question )?...I have heard about tiredness/backache but this is an embarrassing side effect of pregnancy (well...at least I hope its the pregnancy...thats what I am telling my husband anyway ).

Bains · 29/05/2005 14:06

Ok this is really sad as I am just talking to myself now ...but I just realised JenJam lives in Islington too....so we really should meet up now. Anyway best go....speak soon.

JenJam · 29/05/2005 18:26

Hello jenjam here. just back from weekend by the sea with the girls (Camber Sands). I bored the arse off my single/childless friends with my (now hugely dramatised) story of last weeks events. unfortunately the hotel put two of them in a room beside a young family so friends were v. unimpressed when neighbouring babies went off at 4 a.m. i didn't hear a thing (good, so i slept like a baby...why do people say 'slept like a baby?????' when all babies do is wake up in the night. hmm? anyway, sunny saturday was impossible becuase of a sand storm on the beach and this morning it rained. had a cream tea both days though...just got in to find DP has been smoking in the lounge. and despite being a former smoker have to say, it stinks! re: meeting up. I'll be away with work from 2nd until end of June, so please please could we do the meet up when I get back, say mid-July?

Hi all just popping by to see how everyone is, really missing this thread but have been chatting to diddle and the others on the ttc after m/c thread. HK my thoughts are with you xx .
Hope everyone has a lovely BHoliday
Xena xxx

Xena · 29/05/2005 18:57

p.s. JenJams we went to Camber sands yesterday but it was soooo windy we couldn't see anything.

rodeo1 · 29/05/2005 19:11

Hello you two,

Ooh I love cream teas jenjam!! Love cream full stop actually - could just eat it off a spoon! Love all things dairy!

Have to say I can't stand the smell of cigerette smoke either, although I've never smoked but my parents were chain smokers when I was growing up. Every time I get back from work I stink too (I work in a pub) yuk!

Bains, I don't think I've said a proper welcome to you yet - so Hello! Great to have you on board! Thanks for the Ibroprufen reassurance - was still on my mind a bit!

So you think you're having a girl? I've been thinking that mine's a girl recently - just a sixth sense kind of feeling! I wonder if we're right? It would be good to do a survey on women's intuition on their babie's sex, see how many got it right? Jenjam - you think you've got a boy don't you? And you've not got long to find out! I find it so exciting!!

I think a meet up would be great, doesn't take long to get from Derby to London on the train, and July sounds good - would it clash with anyone's 20 week scan? Just have to convince dp that I won't be meeting up with a load of axe murderers!!

rodeo1 · 29/05/2005 19:18

Hi Xena! Sorry I'm so slow at typing that you've managed to put in 2 messages! Lovely to hear from you - which ttc thread are you on? I had a look earlier for you guys but couldn't find you, we're missing you too!

rodeo1 · 29/05/2005 19:20

Should really read posts thoroughly before posting myself you're on the ttc after mc thread! Sorry!

rodeo1 · 29/05/2005 19:23

Ooh Bains - do share babynames with us - I'm so crap - can't really think of any I love! Anybody else's input would be greatly appreciated too!

JenJam · 29/05/2005 19:52

Xena. you were at camber sands too? was that you in the bikini and sarong running along blinded by sand. that cracked me up, there us girls were blinded by sand, i had crunchy teeth for at least an hour after (with my cream tea). you might have seen us three amigos climbing the dunes with our windbreaker. tried to put it up. fat lot of good that did. I stayed at this cool little place called The Place. can recommend it, was very nice, great food. apart from paper thin walls, don't go there for dirty weekend or with easily roused children/babies. anyway off to pictures now with DP, bye

Evening girls Camber Sands sounds great, if a little windy, love it there but have just rediscovered Southend too, which was great fun with ds although dh had to go on all the rides with him when we went a few weeks back.

Xena just wanted to say hi and I agree with Rodeo we're missing you guys too, please come back and chat with us somethimes.

Rodeo who says we're not all axe murders in our spare time - oh no silly me we're mums we don't get any spare time for other non child friendly activities do we p.s. hope the cold gets better soon.
A meet up sounds like a good idea can't do it in June though either as off to Spain next weekend for 10 days then dh is away with his cyber mates at the end of the month.

Can probably do the last two weekends in July though, first two are out 'cos the first one I get another year older and the second one ds is in his first drama school show so will be doing the oh so proud parent bit and going all gooey & misty eyed!!!

Spent the day raising ds's climbing frame up from little person size to the walkway now being 6ft in the air, he loves it but it scares the s**t out of me when I see him standing on the top as he's over 3ft tall so is nearly 10ft off the ground at the top of his head!!!

Bains the wind is normal it's because everything is shifting around and you're producing more waste from both you and the baby. Just one of the oh so pleasant side effects of being pregnant!

Right gonna go now, hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend, we're off to a BBQ tomorrow so I'll probably speak to everyone in the evening.

Xena · 30/05/2005 09:43

Haha Jenjams no I was the one who was hiding on the dunes with the baby while the other 2 went with their Dad to the sea (which was out when we got there) But I saw a lady with an orange sarong type shirt thing who made us laugh.
Could I come to your London Meet as an honory member? Are DC's invited?

BEKsmum · 30/05/2005 10:17

Xena course you're invited as are all the others, don't know about kids, not a problem with me but it might be nice to have a day out without them and to let the dads suffer for a change!!!

Xena · 30/05/2005 10:38

With out them even better let me know when

JenJam · 30/05/2005 10:42

of course Xena! have just woken up and logged on. feel like i have was drugged last night. better go dp frowning at my going online - we're supposed to be going out. he says i'm addicted.

I have news on hellkat, she is in hospital they're doing tests etc, and think that she may have to have another D&C as the first one wasn't completed properly.
Thats all i know, sorry can't tell you anymore.
