Due Feb 2010

Gidders · 22/05/2009 16:52

Afternoon,

I can't find a due in Feb thread, but I suppose it's very early still!

Got my BFP on tuesday, with a due date of Feb 3. It's still not quite sunk in - I've had to take another three tests since then just to check

I'm spending far too much time already planning for this baby when I should be working, please tell me I'm not the only one who is completely obsessed. And that I will calm down eventually!

Anyway, would love to chat with some other newly upduffed types.

it's natural to feel scared and when he or she arrives it will be the craziest and most memorable weeks of your life - tiring but amazing then when it all settles down you will look back and wonder why you worried so much.

having a baby is hard work but the most rewardable experience ever - it cant be that bad if i'm on my third!

one of my friends just had her 8th!!!!

enjoy x

ktpie · 04/06/2009 20:56

Congratulations Preggybear and Inigo!

Been feeling really queasy and tired today, I'm sure these sort of symptoms didn't kick in until much later last time!

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 04/06/2009 23:02

Congrats preggybear!

I am really hungry... and really bloated - hate that feeling of being months away from a real bump but ALREADY not fitting in my trousers! But can't complain really as no sickness so far.

DH has just been quoting the baby book at me, apparently it is normal to start noticing symptoms earlier the second time ktpie... and it says you are often bigger 2nd time too, but I don't think that is humanly possible in my case, I looked like Mr Greedy!

bettyjack · 04/06/2009 23:17

Hi guys!!

I am 11dpo and just did a random preg test as I am very impatient and it came back BFP!!

This will be my 3rd little one due 10th feb. I have 2 girls aged 10yrs old and 10 mths. Hoping for a boy this time, never had such an early bfp.

Added myself to the list! Congrats to everyone seeing those bfp's!

Having cramping etc, as I did with previous pregnancies..no other major bad stuff yet.

Gidders · 05/06/2009 09:28

Preggybear - what amazing news! I love a happy ending.

I've actually realised I should be on the Jan thread - worked out my due date by conception rather than the start of last period and it came up with either Jan 26 or 30. But never mind - don't a lot of first pregnancies go overdue anyway?

No sickness here, but very very tired. I seem to need about 12 hours sleep a night and keep having incredibly vivid dreams.

Is anyone suffering full blown morning sickness yet?

We're planning to tell my family tomorrow, very nervous. They definately won't be expecting it.

Ooh, Gidders good luck for tomorrow. I hope they're all over the moon for you.
Hello preggybear and bettyjack, good to hear more good news!
I am off to the doctors this afternoon, I think I'm 5 weeks today. I have been having a lot of cramping, I don't remember having it last time but maybe I did.
daisydot, test is on its way!

daisydotandgertie · 05/06/2009 14:31

Good luck Gidders - I'm also hoping your family are thrilled for you.

Betty - you are a star! I'm incredulous that a stranger on the net has been kind enough to post me off a spare test. Thank you so much. Your growing baby very definitely has a top Mummy.

Welcome and congratulations to BettyJack.

ktpie · 05/06/2009 14:50

Hi Bettyjack and congratulations!

Inigo - I'm sure I'm going to get huge very quickly, last time it seemed to take ages for a bump to develop, but once it did it was huge so I'm already all stretched!

Gidders - I think I'm due on 31st Jan but having been 10 days overdue last time I'm going to stick with February.

Bettymum - I've had some funny cramps and twinges too, trying to put it down to things stretching already!

Have a lovely weekend everyone, I am off to a hen do where I will be drinking water while the other girlies drink cocktails! I don't mind though although not sure whether I should tell them I'm preggers, noone else knows and it's only 5 weeks. Might go for the old "I'm on antibiotics" ruse

Squarah · 05/06/2009 16:44

Welcome bettyjack- another one with a short gap hooray!

I've hit a weird hormonal wall today - involving bursting in to tears on DH and needing to go back to bed with exhaustion - everything feels like too much effort!

Cramping was 2 weeks ago -none now.

Running a 5k race on Sunday!!

Have a lovely weekend bun-bakers.

Squarah - I'm impressed you're running still - I hung up my shoes pretty much as soon as I found out, I feel far too tired to even contemplate running! Good luck with it.

Bettymum - you could drink vodka tonics (without the vodka, obviously.) I worry the antibiotics excuse just makes people suspicious.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Congrats to all the recent BFP's - so exciting!

Sickness kicking in with me too - not anywhere near as badly as last time, thank goodness! I am quite relieved to have it as it makes everything seem a little more real!

Got to rush, will read through properly tomorrow. Have a good Friday night everyone!

Room for another? I got a BFP on Wednesday, EDD is 1st February which sounds a eon away. I've made an appointment to see my lovely GP on 18th June so until medical stuff starts happening you lot will have to keep me entertained. Made mistake of buying Pregnancy & Birth magazine, even more dire than it was 3 years ago. I'll stick to MN!!

clu · 05/06/2009 20:22

Hi
Can i join you all? Im due 3rd Feb and this is my 2nd I have a dd who is 19 months .Looking forward to chatting with you all.

devotion · 05/06/2009 20:43

Hello and welcome CONGRATULATIONS to all the new mummies!

Well I am 5 weeks + 3 days only and I am soooo shattered!

I am glad dh worked from home today because at 5.30pm I was finished and slept for over an hour! I was gone!!!

He fed the girls and I had to have my third cup of tea to wake myself up. With my other two I did not drink tea until at least three months but this time I need it and they say up to three is ok.

I've had pain behind my pubic bone today and scanned google and started another thread and happy now that its not a sign of about to miscarry - fingers crossed! You would think 3rd time I would be more relaxed about it all?

I'm glad to see I am not the only one feeling so wrecked! Worried about how I will cope, with my last pregnancy dd1 was 2 and slept two hours a day and I slept with her. DD2 is 3yrs and no way will she sleep for even 5 mins so I think it will just be very early nights for me.

I went to my gp this week and he didnt even take my blood pressure? In fact I could have done it over the phone. Can not remember how long after you receive a letter confirming blood tests etc. Anyone know?

Squarah - nice to hear you're running! I ran the marathon this year and I've ran once since - terrible. Really have the urge to go for run but my body is shouting "NO!". Hopefully in a week or two I will manage to get going. Would like to run as long as I can. I have so much more energy when I do. Plus I will do anything that helps reduce morning sickness. Good for you and good luck with the run!

Have a lovely evening everyone!

Hey All,

Just wanted to add myself to the list and introuduce myself!.

Found out I was pregnant last Sunday - totally unexpected and unplanned and have only been with my DP for six months so we had a lot to talk about. Decided to keep the baby and now we are both so excited. I thought I was due in December as did my doctor but when I went for a scan yesterday it appears either I'm miscarrying OR I'm only 4 weeks, hopefully it's the latter. I have another scan in 9 days time and I am so nervous, I know these 9 days will go so slowly and I'm aware of every single twinge in my body. Praying it's not a miscarriage as I've had two in the last seven years. Not sure of my due date but estimating that it's prob 8th Feb.

Hope everyone else is feeling good today!

Hey 'MynameIsInigoMontoya',

Just thought I'd say a personal hello to you as it seems we are due on the same date and also have another child. I'm sure I'm already expanding, trousers are feeling tight etc so it's relieving to hear that your DP/DH says that signs may happen sooner in the second pregnancy.

Has anyone else noticed this to?

Oh dear...... the sickness is here!

but it is reassuring i guess

i'm getting it in waves all today, i dont mind it like that rather than 24 hours like last time.

how is everyone else?

clairemcq and MusicalMummyJules!

Squarah - goodluck for tomorrow. Dont know how you are doing it, I am just SO shattered all of the time. I stayed in bed until almost 11am today - lazy bum!

My lovely dh looked after the girls. I'm sure i was not wiped out this much with the other two.

Excited though, got my date for my first scan end of July so can not wait.

Has anyone ever bought a video of their scan? I didnt with the others but I thought it would be lovely to keep and for their sisters to see.

Hello you too Jules!
Will keep my fingers crossed for you for the next nine days, hope all goes well and that the next scan has good news.
I am booked in to see the GP on Tues, quite excited although probably not much will happen; but when I went last time the GP was absolutely lovely and seemed positively thrilled which was really sweet! Not sure whether it will be the same one this time round though, I will probably get one of the men and they will be really "blah" about it

ktpie · 07/06/2009 10:44

Morning everyone, hello to all the new people! The sickness has hit for me, in fact I had it before I did the test so was pretty sure it would be positive. Found last time that my morning sickness (why is it called that when it lasts all day!) came on if my blood sugar started to drop so my best way of tackling it is just to keep eating!
We are having a party next week and all of my friends are going to twig straight away when they notice me avoiding the booze (very unlike me!).
Hope you are all enjoying your weekends, it's chucking it down here so using that as an excuse to chill out on the sofa!
