Due Feb 2010

Afternoon,

I can't find a due in Feb thread, but I suppose it's very early still!

Got my BFP on tuesday, with a due date of Feb 3. It's still not quite sunk in - I've had to take another three tests since then just to check

I'm spending far too much time already planning for this baby when I should be working, please tell me I'm not the only one who is completely obsessed. And that I will calm down eventually!

Anyway, would love to chat with some other newly upduffed types.

thanks Gidders and congratulations to you too

millymay - congratulations!

read my long waffly thread - 2nd babies are just as much fun believe me. You are a pro now and will take it all in your stride

the first 6 months with baby no 2 is the hardest learning to juggle two but as soon as baby is eating three meals a day and all the feeds settle down they just fit in around your family.

with your first, your life revolves around your baby, eating, dressing, bathing, sleeping etc but with baby no.2 they have to just fit in around everyone else. it kind if makes you wonder why you worried about sleep times so much with baby 1.

enjoy your pregnancy

x

millymay · 28/05/2009 20:57

thanks devotion you are right the new baby will just have to fit in with us, when i had my dd i just sat there feeding her, holding her, looking at her (all whilst watching the olympics it was great) this time no chance we are also renevating our whole house, good job i like a challenge x

devotion · 28/05/2009 22:21

ahhh it will be great! think of all the lively xmas mornings you will have

devotion · 28/05/2009 22:31

How is everyone feeling tonight?

I should be working on my assignments but for the last few weeks I have been glued to mumsnet

I am just SO excited and wondering how I have a belly already when it didnt appear until my 5th month 1st time and 4mths 2nd time. I know its probably just bloated.

I was asked twice this month if I was pregnant before i found out so i cant wait to see those two people to take away the embarassment they must have felt.

i got a few twinges today but i am sure that happened with other babies, think it must be liagments stretching or preparing. funny how quickly you forget!

at this point of pregnancy it so easy to wish these early weeks away until you see your scan but i want to enjoy them. my dh said he is getting the snip after this baby is born. ... we'll see

Hi!

I am getting twinges and feeling very breathless, particularly when I'm trying to carry or lift my (large) 18mo. DS's nursery have just notified german measels which gave me a bit of a panic, but I called my GP, who said I had good levels of immunity when tested last time, and as DS has has his 1st MMR I shouldn't worry. Typical timing though!

Also glad I am not the only bloated one - I've had to get my fat trousers out for work already! I'm not sure I'll make it to 12 weeks without people noticing the rapidly expanding waistline!

wasabipeanut · 29/05/2009 09:48

Devotion that was such a lovely post.

I just can't wait for my beautiful little boy to have a brother or sister. One couple we are friends with have 2 boys quite close in age and seeing them together made me long so much to give the same to my ds. It's amazing how they can demonstrate so much love and affection when they are still so young.

They do say second children are easier don't they? I guess they have no choice!

Christ I'm tired. I have to call someone to do an interview for a case study at 10 (I am a freelance B2B copywriter)and all I want to do is lay on the sofa and snooze.

Devotion my DH has said the same thing about the snip, makes me sad but he will be 40 next year and he reckons he's getting too old for babies .
Look forward to chatting to you all over the next nine months, let's hope we can all enjoy the sunshine this weekend.

Gidders · 29/05/2009 18:46

Hi ladies, how are you all feeling today?

I am exhausted after the past two days - my H's 10yo brother and 8yo sister have been staying with us and I'm starting to wonder if I'm cut out for this parenting lark. Tell me, do children often vomit in swimming pools ??? I'm still cringing at that little incident.

Feeling very tired still but looking forward to a weekend of snoozing in the sun. Anyone got any exciting plans?

OP posts:
devotion · 29/05/2009 19:36

Hello Gidders!

Dont worry, going from no children to looking after children that age is much harder and anyone would struggle!

cleaning up your own kids a vomit, snot and wee etc is much easier for some strange reason ... i guess you feel about it as you do about your own

its MUCH easier x

What a beautiful day!

I'm still bloated and got twinges alot so i hope all is ok in there.

Bettymum - glad to see you here, i was going to let you know about the thread but thought it may come across a bit insensitive to others. i knew you would make your way here anyway.

Gidders · 29/05/2009 20:21

It has been glorious, hasn't it?

Twinges and bloating here too. I'm off to the doctors tomorrow so I'm sure she'll let me know if there's anything to worry about.

lulu25 · 29/05/2009 21:13

hello ladies, may i join you?

i did a positive test this afternoon and online calculators give me 5 feb.

my first (a boy who is nearly two and a half) was five days early so i may have to hedge my bets with the january thread.

i've been really really thirsty and got this yucky feeling at the back of my throat and my boobs are tingling. also, hurrah, i haven't got usual pre-period spots.

devotion · 30/05/2009 00:46

Squarah · 30/05/2009 10:58

Hiya me too please! BFP this morning, online calcs say 29th Jan but I know I wasn't pregnant until the last week or so (BFN last week) so I'm sure we're early feb really - we'll have to wait for a scan. I was so despondant yesterday as I was convinced I wasn't preggers this month! Having felt sick for ages, I didn't yesterday - just grumpy and a bit tearful!

Feeling fine today and struggling to absorb it all! My DS is 10 months.

Millymay I watched more of the Olympics last summer than I ever have in my entire life! Quite nice to have the excuse of breastfeeding and exhaustion!

Hi everyone! The list has grown.

I've been off the radar, we've been camping for a few days. It has been glorious - I kept imagining next year with a little snuggly baby in tow

Dr said my due date is 27/01/10 - but I am always late so sticking with this thread. Just getting more excited as each day goes by and realising it's really happening!

NancyPreg · 31/05/2009 21:37

Camping sounds like fun, especially in warm weather! It seems that there are quite a few of us ladies on this thread who are expecting dc3 [keen emoticon]

I felt rough this afternoon, had to lie down but feel better now. It seems to be pattern with me: I start the day feeling OK but begin to decline around 1pm and dip around 3pm...which is when I would love a nap but can't because it's time for the school run. I perk up a bit about 8pm...although the tiredness is kicking in a bit now.
