Afternoon,

I can't find a due in Feb thread, but I suppose it's very early still!

Got my BFP on tuesday, with a due date of Feb 3. It's still not quite sunk in - I've had to take another three tests since then just to check

I'm spending far too much time already planning for this baby when I should be working, please tell me I'm not the only one who is completely obsessed. And that I will calm down eventually!

Anyway, would love to chat with some other newly upduffed types.

NancyPreg - that's about the only symptom I'm getting at the moment. My tired dip comes (conveniently!) at about 5.30 pm so dh washes up while I have a lie down. That way I'm ready for the evening.

It's just as exciting 3rd time round isn't it? Wondering what the baby will be like compared to the other two. I have really big gaps between mine - my body must just be programmed to get pregnant every 5 years!

Not sure what ds is going to think about it. He has had the facts of life talk so am sure he will be horrified when he knows what me and dh have done to get pregnant!!

Bettymum · 01/06/2009 15:04

hello everyone!
I've managed not to tell anyone yet, I'm going to try and get to the doctors this week and get everything in motion...I don't feel any different at all.
helenabeth, ouch! Hope your tummy is feeling OK.

helenabeth · 01/06/2009 15:13

Thanks - just a few cramp like 'stretching' pains. Not sure why, when there's nothing left to stretch!

NancyPreg · 01/06/2009 15:51

Yes, it is exciting 3rd time round, although in my case, I am a little reserved because I've had two MMCs in the last 8mths so I'm taking things one day at a time, whereas with my first two pgs a BFP = guaranteed baby!

I've got that awful pg taste in my mouth and my appetite for chocolate has started to decline which is the pits .

Bettymum · 01/06/2009 17:10

NancyPreg
I ate more chocolate when I was pregnant that I think I've ever done in my life. Am being careful not to eat chocolate now in case it gives the game away

daisydotandgertie · 01/06/2009 17:28

Can I join? I got our BFP this morning. It'll be our first baby as long as it sticks.

I've gone off tea and toast , have ankles swollen to unbelievable proportions, am drinking and weeing a lot.

I'm too shocked to be excited so far but it does feel as though we have a life changing secret.

I very nearly want to shout it from the rooftops.

Welcome Daisydot and congratulations to you - enjoy the excitement of the moment for as long as possible!

rosieposey · 01/06/2009 23:07

Hi, excuse me for crashing your thread but i just wanted to say congrats to you all as this was me on a Feb thread just 4 months ago this Friday (DS born 6th Feb 2009) and i can hardly believe there is another one already! How exciting for you all Good luck with your pregnancies and wishing you healthy and happy bubs at the end of it Enjoy every week, i wished all mine away and it went like lightning!

Gidders · 02/06/2009 09:10

Thanks for the good luck vibes rosieposey! I am very guilty of wishing away the weeks at the moment - I feel like I can't relax until I get past 12 weeks.

Congratulations Daisydot, I know what you mean about too shocked to be excited - it's my first too and it's only just sinking in (got my BFP two weeks ago)

Is anyone feeling sick yet?

Am working myself into a state as I keep worrying I'm not really pregnant. Had bad sickness with both other pregnancies but can't remember when it started.

Only other symptoms I'm having are that I'm feeling very emotional (nothing new there then!) and tiredness. Breasts are a bit sore but not that bad.

will be 6 weeks tomorrow...

milliemeerkat · 02/06/2009 10:27

hi im also due on feb 3rd, cant believe it still. We are a female coule living in hull.

Stumblebum · 02/06/2009 10:32

Congrats milliemeerkat

Bettymum · 02/06/2009 11:04

Hi Stumblebum I'm not feeling sick really, but I didn't last time except for one afternoon when we went to watch the Tour de France start in Hyde Park, I walked past a burger stall and got a huge whiff of cheap nasty burger smell .
TMI alert: I got some pinky/browny discharge this morning and am now worried. Is this normal? Feeling a bit anxious.

Stumblebum · 02/06/2009 11:09

Bettymum - think it is normal. Is it around the time your period would have been due?

I think I've had aweek to be really happy and now the worrying is kicking in!

Bettymum · 02/06/2009 11:28

Hi, I think my period would have been due a week or so ago. Don't seem to have had any more so fingers crossed all is well.
I'm the opposite to you, I worry worry worry and then get happy later. I worried till the 12 week scan, worried till I got the amnio results...and then more or less relaxed.

daisydotandgertie · 02/06/2009 12:00

No sickness here yet. And am hoping it doesn't arrive to be honest!

The newest symptom came when I tried to sleep on my front last night; it felt as though someone had shoved a hockey ball between me and the mattress. And that kind someone had put the ball way down low, about where my uterus is.

T'was very uncomfortable indeed.

I'm still checking my knickers like a loon though .

Congratulations millie.

Gidders - do you really think you'll manage not to tell anyone until after the first scan? I'm not sure we will no matter how much we want to! First babies are a whole new world of confusion so far for us - even though we've spent a good few months trying to make one .

Gidders · 02/06/2009 13:48

Daisydot - I don't think we will wait that long. We were planning to tell people at about 8 weeks, but my grandfather, who has been ill for a few weeks, has gone rapidly downhill. We're visiting this weekend and we're considering telling him and the rest of my family then, because morbid as it sounds, I don't know if I will get another chance

I'm really not sure what to do - I do feel it's too early and I'm totally paranoid it's going to go wrong (knicker checking loon here too!)

You're right about the whole new world of confusion, and this is just the start - there are literally thousands of things to get wound up about. I really need to relax!

Congrats and welcome daisdot and milliemeerkat - we're filling up fast here

I am five weeks today and have told so many people i did it last time too. could not help it! ah well!!!

i dont really have any symptoms now except more tired and not really enjoying my cup of tea a day i have limited myself to. it tastes funny, dont remember that with other babies.

i really hope i dont get sick like last time though! it normally starts at 6 weeks for me.

i feel so lazy, i can not beleive i ran the marathon in april - where did i get the energy?

Gidders, sorry to hear your grandfather is not well, i think it would be really nice to tell him. it will make him happy. i'm sure all your family will. sending lots of love x

ps. knicker checking too everytime i wee

Gidders · 02/06/2009 16:29

Hi
Can I join just got a bfp. Think i am in shock as really didn't expect it. This will be baby number 4 and is due 6th feb. I have 3ds who are 6,4,2

Squarah · 02/06/2009 18:44

Hello All,

I'm not feeling any different either, other than tiredness in the evenings but that could be chasing my 10 month old around as he's only been crawling a month or so. Did another test this morning and it said I conceived 2-3 weeks ago so it reassured me that things are looking okay. Think I should just be grateful for now .

Hello to all the other new arrivals, sounds like we are all being a bit cautious so far. DH and I have been telling people all over the place. We waited till we had a scan which showed a heartbeat lasttime at 7+2 but this time we're telling most close friends and family now. I'd have told them if things don't work out anyway.

Am I the only one here with a child under 1? Am I completely mad ?!

I also wondered whether mums on number 3 or more had very different first and second pregnancies? Am I wrong to assume this will be exactly the same to the first?

Gidders sending positive vibes about your grandfather. My friend said that when her sister was very unwell with cancer last year her news about being pregnant really brought the family together and gave them a happier focus.

wasabipeanut · 02/06/2009 19:25

Hi all,

Sorry I've not been checking in much - have been having some serious wobbles in my confidence of this pregnancy. I keep having massive panics due to my last mc about symptoms not being strong enough. I am only 5+2 but desperate to feel sustained nausea. I had a few little surges of it this morning but not sure whether it was me trying to convince myself IYSWIM.

Sense of smell seems to be mega strong one day and not the next. Only consistent thing is full on dizzy spells whenever I get up quickly.

Went to GP this morning and had some blood taken. They are checking my HCG levels and will prob have to have another test in 3 days. At least they are taking me seriously.

Sorry this is all very me, me,me. It's great to see so many others checking in. We have a loooooong few weeks ahead!

Stumblebum · 02/06/2009 19:38

wasabipeanut - think it's natural to be introspective and fairly self centred at this time, especially if you had a mc. I have been the same with my sense of smell if that's any consolation to you.

Squarah - I think it will be so exciting (and exhausting!) to have two close together. Wish I had experienced it, but mine has worked out 1 every 5 years

Gidders - It will be lovely to share the news with your family, especially your grandfather. Your emotions must be all over the place.

Congratulations and welcome to everyone else!

daisydotandgertie · 03/06/2009 08:34

I wish I hadn't done it.

I peed on another stick this morning and there is hardly any line there at all - it's so feint it's more of a shadow. In fact my DH can't see it.

And I may be seeing it because I really want to.

What do I do? Do I go with the test from a couple of days ago which has a good strong BFP and ignore this morning's test which I could assume is faulty?

I've got the same symptoms, nothing has changed there. I'm still tearful (stick problem is probably not helping) and a little bit grumpy.

I'm not liking this one little bit.

devotion · 03/06/2009 09:49

daisydotandgertie - go out and but a clear blue digital and try that!

it may be a faulty test or the levels are still too low to pick up.

your period has not started so that has to be a good sign.

take care
x
