Afternoon,

I can't find a due in Feb thread, but I suppose it's very early still!

Got my BFP on tuesday, with a due date of Feb 3. It's still not quite sunk in - I've had to take another three tests since then just to check

I'm spending far too much time already planning for this baby when I should be working, please tell me I'm not the only one who is completely obsessed. And that I will calm down eventually!

Anyway, would love to chat with some other newly upduffed types.

iwantapinkprincess - congratulations! Wow, your fourth, how exciting.

Squarah - Thanks for the vibes, I think you are right about the happier focus. I hope so, because I think he's so fed up of being ill he's giving up.

Wasabipeanut - If it's any consolation, I haven't had many symptoms either, apart from tiredness - no sickness or nausea at all. From reading other people's posts it seems like symptoms coming and going is totally normal. But I understand why you are worrying, hopefully the doctors will be able to reassure you.

Daisy - The test could well be faulty - was it the same brand as the other? Can you maybe go to the gp to have them confirm it? Positive vibes coming your way.

Hello everyone,

Got a positive result this morning! Was fairly sure I was pregnant as I have been feeling really queasy in that horrible morning sickness way for the past few days. Really hoping I don't feel as rough with this pregnancy as I did with the last.

All a bit of a surprise as DS1 is only 11 months old and I have only had 2 periods since having him, had been intending to wait a bit longer before having another, feeling incredibly lucky though!

Squarah - sounds like we are in a similar boat, I am spending all my time chasing a crawling baby around as well. Hoping he learns to walk before I get too big to carry him!

Daisy- hope the test turned out to be faulty and that everything is OK.

daisydotandgertie · 03/06/2009 15:24

Thank you for your kindness.

The test was the same brand as the other - cheapie internet strips. They're definitely not the best! The lines are very feint at the best of times.

I can't face the thought of a false positive yet, so have decided to ignore this mornings strip and buy a digital test later in the week. That'll allow hormone levels to build more and will tell me for sure one way or another.

There is no sign of a period, so I'm sticking with the original result until proven otherwise.

I'm waiting for my copy of conception, birth and beyond to arrive from Amazon!

Bettymum · 03/06/2009 16:10

Hi daisydot, I posted the same thing on a TTC thread, I got a faint positive one morning and the next day even fainter! They were the cheapie internet ones too. I had to go out at lunchtime and do a clearblue test, it was a really clear positive I still have the other one from the packet if you'd like me to send it to you, they cost a fortune!!!

Stumblebum · 03/06/2009 16:26

Daisydot - they always say you can get a false negative but not a false positive, so stick with your first one and try toput this morning's out of your mind.

No period yet + a positive test (even if faint) - look on the positive side

Squarah · 03/06/2009 16:46

Hey daisydot sounds like you've got the right idea and lots of wise words here. Good luck.

ktpie hooray someone else slightly freaking out about how the next couple of...years will be!!!

daisydotandgertie · 03/06/2009 18:24

feint? faint.

It'll be the hpt that's set my spelling adrift.

Having sounded (I thought) quite rational this afternoon, I've spent a bit of time photographing the strips and fiddling with the exposure and stuff to find that there really is a very faint line there. I am not making it up. Desperate times and all that.

It's really barely there, but it is visible.

Betty - your post has cheered me up sooo much. I am not alone . Do you mean it about the spare test? We live in the arse end of nowhere, so getting to a chemist is a bit of a hike. One arriving in the post would be a miracle!

Welcome to KT - and congratulations!

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 03/06/2009 19:57

Hello all - glad to find some people I can share my new secret with! Found out yesterday morning, although it was still a bit early to test my boobs were definitely telling me something was up... That was the only symptom I had last time so it was a good clue!

At least I only went through 2 pg tests this time, spent a fortune on them last time round but this time I knew a bit more what to expect

Due date should work out at either the 5th or 8th Feb, depending on which, er, incident it resulted from - but 8th is probably more likely so will put that for now.

Has anyone told their GP yet? I am torn between telling them really early to make sure the scan is booked in plenty of time, or waiting cos it does still seem very early!

So the list now stands (with a few missing I think)at:

Morning ladies, hope you're all well today.

This particular journey is over for me as I woke up to a mc this morning, which is very sad of course but after my last two mmc (both discovered at 12wks), this early - spontaneous - mc is actually a better outcome. No bad news scans to experience, no wasted weeks of not-knowing, etc. I won't say any more because I don't want to drag down the thread!!

I wish you all the very, very best of luck in your pregnancies.

Stumblebum · 04/06/2009 08:03

NancyPreg - so for you.

That is awful. How are you this morning? Is your dh with you?

Congrats Inigo - I love your name.

ktpie · 04/06/2009 08:18

NancyPreg - so sorry to hear that, hope you are taking it easy today.

daisydotandgertie · 04/06/2009 08:18

Oh Nancy. I'm so, so sorry. Such a disappointment for you both.

How are you feeling physically? I had an early spontaneous mc in April - it wasn't the best to be honest. I hope you're OK.

Squarah · 04/06/2009 08:49

nancypreg I'm so sorry, how sad for you but I ma glad you've not been wasting time on tests etc, I hope you have nice people around you for cuddles or distraction, whichever you need most.

Inigo - BRILLIANT name!!! love the book and film so much!

I couldn't tolerate my perfume last night and I've got that annoying nasal congestion so reassuring pregnancy symptoms.

Gidders · 04/06/2009 09:14

Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope you are ok, take care of yourself x

Inigo - congratulations! And only two tests, you did well. I think I managed about 15, starting from about 5 days after ovulation
I have been to the gp already, but can't get booked for my scan until 8 weeks because I'm moving to a different part of london then, and they won't refer me to my new hospital until I actually live there. I'm quite worried I won't get in the queue in time.

Bettymum · 04/06/2009 09:28

Nancypreg really sorry to hear your news, hope you are able to take it easy for a few days xxx
daisydot yes I can absolutely post the test! How can I get your address? I'd have to post it tomorrow as I'm at work now and the test is at home 30 miles away

daisydotandgertie · 04/06/2009 11:47

Betty - I've set up an email address for this - daisydotandgertie @ mac . com.

If you could send me an email, I'll respond with my address. That should work OK - and should keep our details private!

Thank you. You are a star.

Bettymum · 04/06/2009 13:12

Have sent you an email, let me know if it doesn't arrive.

devotion · 04/06/2009 13:40

Nancypreg - sorry to hear that, your positive outlook made me all emotional. you sound like a strong lady.
sending big hugs and tons of luck.

Bettymum · 04/06/2009 13:42

Hi daisydot, have tried twice and they've been bounced back to me.

daisydotandgertie · 04/06/2009 14:12

Hi Betty - I've no idea why that's happened. Try this one [email protected]

Sorry.

NancyPreg · 04/06/2009 16:12

Just to say a big thanks to all your best wishes. I feel OK and I've bought a ticket on the March 2010 bus so all good.

devotion - lovely post, all the very best to you and your LO next Feb, enjoy your pg.

preggybear · 04/06/2009 16:50

Hello all.

I found out yesterday that I'm in the club! 2 tests at home and 1 at the doctors. Been trying since November 2007 and have PCOS, so didn't think we could fall pregnant without IVF. Been on Metformin for about a year and have fallen without help!

Any body else in the same boat?

daisydotandgertie · 04/06/2009 18:17

A big welcome to Preggybear and very many congratulations. What a fabulous result for you.

devotion · 04/06/2009 18:18

HOORAY PREGGYBEAR!!!!!!!!!

What is your due date, add yourself to the list!
