Hi all, just a mad quick post, popped in to check up on Diege! Seems like all OK for now, am disappearing off for the weekend to the IL's (please give me strength of character to ignore them not let them get to me).

Will someone please text me if Diege pops!!! I'll stick my number on FB for anyone that wants it.

See you soon, x

ps - well done on gain Ses, sure will be another positive step for you on Monday

Sorky - had a new mattress myself recently and I know how you feel - bet you can't wait to go to bed again!

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 12/06/2009 20:22

Thanks for encouragement guys

'Tis more than I'm getting from DH, although he doesn't really mean anything by it. He just doesn't think before he opens his mouth. He was complaining earlier about being tired after a busy week at work. I offerred to let him look after DS for a day and he said he'd have to give him "proper milk" then as he wouldn't have any breast milk! I repeated it back to him and he didn't realise what he'd said. He said he meant to say that he'd have to give him formula.

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 12/06/2009 20:39

Sorry, that was a bit unfair on DH. He really didn't mean it,

bumpsnowjustplump · 12/06/2009 20:58

How rude ses... Give him a smack from me... Why dont you try expressing a little bit more.. When owen was little I expressed an ounce off everytime he fed from the opposite boob. So if he was feeding from the right I would express an ounce from the left. Then at the end of the day freeze what you have. Not only did this help my milk flow but I now have a freezer full of EBM!!

Worth a try.. I freeze it in special bags some are 4oz some are 5oz!!

Diege any twinges this afternoon?

Hello everyone else...

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 12/06/2009 21:10

I've expressed 30ml off earlier which DH gave him after he'd fed from me for about 20 mins. I'm going to try about 30-50ml EBM twice a day to ensure he's getting the fattier hind milk on the advice of HV. I won't let it replace a feed though so if anything it should increase rather than decrease my milk supply.

bumpsnowjustplump · 12/06/2009 21:28

Thats what i did while he was feeding from one boob i expressed from the other. If you get a good stock in your freezer then dh can have him for a couple of hours in a couple of months when owen has put on more weight and you are ready for a break... We could meet up child free and have dinner!!! Now there is a plan... I will just have to get my owen to take a bottle in the mean time....

Diege · 12/06/2009 22:22

GYo · 13/06/2009 03:06

Diege good luck!!!

Ses glad to hear ds gained weight. Bet that was only gained in last 2 days. LOL about dh comment. Mine did the same the other day. Had dd whilst I had massage. He had ebm to give her. As I left the room he jokingly said that once I'd gone he'd give her formula!!! I wasn't amused at all. !

Lbot sorry for piles, sounds v painful. Are you next on the list to give birth?

Moosy yay for norks, so exciting!

Kay- lavender is gorgeous.

Checking in for Diege news. Hope all's going ok.

GYo - enjoy Dorset
I think our DH's need to learn to think sometimes before opening their mouths!!

Last night I started making a list of jobs for us to do this wkend. Just needed DH to be aware and I do love ticking things off!!

This afternoon we have our friends DD 3rd birthday party. 3 years ago she was a last minute guest at our wedding as she was due 10 days after the wedding and she arrived 2 weeks before! She was tiny at just over 4lb, even though she was still , in theory, term. They did really well and she was there all day as her dad was our best man.
I still remember phoning my mum to tell her there was going to be an extra guest! My mum was not impressed until I told her the guest wouldn't need feeding or a table place!

Right I'm rambling and DS is falling back to sleep.

Kayzr · 13/06/2009 07:18

Morning,

Oooooh Diege, I am so excited, I bet mini Diege is here!!!

Sorky, Lavender came from the pet shop in Malton. They have got about 6 all Lavender's siblings so the same sort of colour. She was £28.50 and the hutch was £49. So all in all with food etc about £90.

I have sprained my wrist hence the not being here yesterday as GP said to try and avoid using the computer. He thinks it has been caused by the wii, but I haven't been playing tennis or anything on it. Just wii fit and animal crossing.

I hope you are all well. DS2 has slept the past 2 nights!!

GYo · 13/06/2009 07:37

morning

Enjoy your list of jobs Ses, I'm like you and love ticking things off!

Hi Kay, hope your wrist improves soon.

I'm pleased as Dd slept well in the travel cot which is much larger than her crib at home

Off to a farmers market this morning

OP posts:
sorky · 13/06/2009 08:27

sounds painful Kayz.

Sounds like a nice relaxing break you're having there GYo

Dd1 is off with the Rainbows for the day and Ds1 has swimming lessons this morning with Dh (who's still in bed)

So just me and the Lo's, what to do? Lovely sunny day here.

Very excited to hear Diege's news!
