Kay - is your friend happy about her PG? Sounds perfect to me! Other than the fact that she'll have to be good about drinking on the big day - but a few glasses of champagne can't hurt!

And I'm totally like you with trying on clothes! More than one fashion show has taken place in my living room! Your DH is just a guy!

Kayzr · 11/06/2009 14:11

Yes, a bit shell-shocked but she is very happy!!

She is planning on wrapping the test and giving it to him after the wedding reception when they go to the hotel!!

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 11/06/2009 15:01

Meet up with BNJP and her beautiful DC was great. (They really are beautiful with gorgeous blue eyes!) DS was v unsociable and slept most of the time in his sling

BNJP - thank you for coming over
Maybe another time I'll be able to meet you half way or we can go shopping in Maidstone or maybe a central bigger southern meet...

Kay - yay for your friend! Lovely news!

LBOT - I had exactly that with boob pain so don't worry. Hope MW appointment gets sorted.

IDOB - I agree with Kay about Bio oil - worth the money. Also, I think DH got fed up with my teary moments which were mainly 2nd trimester. I remember it feeling so awful but not being able to explain it. Sending you a sneaky hug...

STT - where do you live?! Could you do a Reading or a London meet up?

Diege - hope you enjoyed Nandos. I've still never been! Hope the spices help hurry things along!

lastboxoftampons · 11/06/2009 15:20

Glad you guys had a lovely visit, Ses and LB

Ses - Did the soreness continue for the remainder of the pregnancy?

bumpsnowjustplump · 11/06/2009 15:52

Afternoon all. Firstly Ses thank you so much for a lovely afternoon. We will have to do it again soon we all had a lovely time and Jessica can not stop talking about baby owen and the dogs..

Ses's owen is utterly adorable. He is still all curled up and I admit he made me all broody!!! He slept well and fed well and she is doing such a fab job that he will do nothing but florish now......

I think we should do a london meet up once Moose has dropped. We could take over a hotel and everything!!!!

Diege is that man moving yet??? Why is it we spend most of our lives waiting on the male half of the species...

Well after a bad start today got better and better.... Owen has been happy and smiley all day and only cried when he was hungry. He has only been a little bit sick as well so I really do think that the face he fed lots last night is linked to him being so sick this morning. Over feeding can make reflux worse!! So if anyone has any ideas of how I can limit his night feeds I would love to hear them (but he wont take a dummy or a bottle )

IDOB I used bio oil and it is great...

Hi to everyone else

Moosy · 11/06/2009 16:32

LB, I spent many many hours sat beside DD2's cot with my little finger in her mouth while she slept, it was the only way to keep her asleep and not wanting to be fed. They both were less sick after they'd been asleep for longer.

Glad you two had a nice day today, and I am too at all the meetups! We need to get ourselves organised for a southern/midlands meet, did we ever make any decisions?

julesisoneyearolder · 11/06/2009 16:36

hi

oh kay very excited for your friend what a lovely pre wedding suprise and gr8 idea 2 wrap up the test

ses - meet up sounds great

hi - lenni and moosy

oh and no diege hopefully a good sign

Diege · 11/06/2009 16:43

Am mega stressed after midwife appointment Mw says I have polyhydramniosis (too much amniotic fluid) and I'm measuring 41 weeks at 38 plus 4. So of course I come home and google and feel even worse, and am worried now there's something wrong with the baby.. I have an appointment to see the consultant next Thursday, but she thinks I'll deliver before then. Sorry for the me post, but I was feeling so excited and looking forward to the birth, and now I'm just worrying and stressed

lastboxoftampons · 11/06/2009 17:29

Oh, Diege I'm sorry you're feeling stressed. But it can't be that bad if they're willing to let you go a week before being seen again. And it's great that she thinks you'll deliver before then. Just focus on having your little guy in your arms - he'll be here before you know it. Take care of yourself and put those feet up and relax.

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 11/06/2009 17:41

Diege - sorry you've come back from MW feeling more stressed. No need for you to google anymore though as I've done so on your behalf. One common theme is that un the majority of cases there is absolutely nothing to worry about especially following a clear 20 wk scan.
Step Away From Google Now!!!
I bet there's others on MN that will have had this. Worth starting a thread or searching?

Diege · 11/06/2009 17:48

Thanks LBOX and SES . I think I'll start a thread, but am really focusing on keeping calm as I don't want the last few days of my (final) pregnancy to be clouded by unnecesary worry

Kayzr · 11/06/2009 17:59

Diege, I'm sure you'll be fine!!! But don't google!!!

Our rabbit is here!! I'm going to try to get some pics. Think we're going with Lavender as her name.

Diege · 11/06/2009 18:05

Lavender is a gorgeous name KAYZ We called ours 'Wiggles' when I was little after the Topsy and Tim rabbit

Kayzr · 11/06/2009 18:45

Here she is!!!

We need a new thread name soon.

glaskham · 11/06/2009 19:01

thanks for the birthday wishes... went to blackpool tower and it was loads of fun, but i've come back with the mother of all headaches!!

will be on tomorrow i should think now... onl y popping on to say hi!!

oh and Diege- would be fab if your absence was due to giving birth to your boy right now!!

Also- DD2 was weighed this morning and is now 8lb 1.5oz... i'm thinking she'll be about 0.5oz heavier by now... and my birth weight 24yrs ago today was 8lb2oz...

julesisoneyearolder · 11/06/2009 19:21

diege - sorry you are feeling down sure you will go into labour soon
and no googling!!

GYo · 11/06/2009 20:10

Glask- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Diege- sorry about the bad MW appt. Hope you are ok. PS have forgiven you for not letting me win the syndicate )

Got to run but hopefully catch up before I go on hols..(though will monitor once away via phone for baby delivery updates)

sorky · 11/06/2009 20:56

Happy Birthday Glask, glad you enjoyed your day

Kayz that rabbit is gorgeous!! May I a just have a slight preen that you chose my proferring of Lavender?
She actually does look a beautiful Lavender colour doesn't she?
Has she settled in okay? More questions....where did you get her from? have I said how utterly gorgeous she is? How much did she cost? Do the boys love her?
Ooh I'm broody for a rabbit!!!

Diege you will labour soon. All this stopping and starting will be doing a lot of work effacing and dilating you. I bet once it starts for real you'll go off like a rocket

Speaking of sleep, we get our new mattress tomorrow. I can't express how excited I am

BBisfinallyPG · 12/06/2009 08:21

Hey all

Sorry ive been a bit absent, have a week off coming up so hopefully will catch up but nothing guaranteed life still hectic atm!

Had 20week scan yesterday, all went well, baby happy healthly correct size for dates so all good! Have a low lying placenta though so have to be re-scanned at 32 weeks to check its moved so i dont have to have a C-section, i dont mind though means i can see baby again!

Hope everyones ok, bunny is cute kays!! Hope your on your way to baby diege!!

Will try and catch up soon, hi to everyone ive missed!! x

Diege · 12/06/2009 08:45

Morning! Nothing happending here, not even bh . I have however developed the most spectacular piles you've ever seen so have dr's appointment this afternoon to get some of the strong stuff prescribed!
Love the rabbit KAYZ! LOL at Sorky's rabbit broodiness
Hi BB! I can't believe you're 20 weeks already! Why do everyone's elses pregnancies go so quickly?? Don't worry about low-lying placenta, quite common at 20 weeks and they nearly always resolve by 30 weeks

Feeling a bit better about mw appointmrnt yesterday. I think that if it is polyhydramniosis it's not caused by some of the sinister things I googled, simply because it's developed so late whereas most cases involving problems with baby start at end of 2nd trimester. Plus I was only 2cm over dates...no doubt I will swing towards disaster scenario later on, but that's just me .
Hope everyone is well; sun back here!!

Moosy · 12/06/2009 10:03

Oh dear Diege, sorry for your poor bottom, I hope things get better soon.

How did DS do last night LB, any better?

Good to hear from you BB, glad your scna was good and hope your placenta wanders up a bit!

I am very today, as overnight I appear to have had a visit from the norkage fairy (DH is pleased too!)

julesisoneyearolder · 12/06/2009 10:33

sorky - ye for mattress
diege - sorry for piles, sending over labour vibes
bb- wow 20 weeks glad scan all well

lastboxoftampons · 12/06/2009 10:57

Diege! Sorry about your piles - if it makes you feel better, got the same over here. Actually had to warn DH the other night that I had had lots of bleeding and thought I managed to clean it all, but if he saw a droplet on inside of toilet not to freak out. Sorry that was WAY TMI!!! Anyway, hoping you get some relief.

And WHEN is this baby coming!?!? Glad you're feeling better about yesterday's appointment. 2cm is nothing! I thought they weren't even supposed to raise any alarms unless you were measuring more than 5! It's probably more down to your physique than actual fluid.

Hi BB! Glad to hear about your lovely scan! Adn like the others, hoping your placenta does as it's told!

Kay that rabbit is so adorable! Makes me want one! And Lavendar is a perfect name (well done Sorky! )

Hi Moos

Diege · 12/06/2009 11:27

Hi LBOX! Poor you with the bleeding - mine aren;t that bad yet, but are increasing in size and are extremely itchy and painful when I sit down. Will be good to get some meds today, although a little worried that the dr. will have to look at them. Surely they'll take my word for it??

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 12/06/2009 11:27

Morning all!

DS is not settling well this morning and I can't work out if he's hungry, got wind, fighting tiredness, his body clock is changing, he's preparing for his grand weigh in or all of the above! As I type, he's just gone in his sling and is half asleep so we'll see...

LBOT - sorry I never replied yesterday. My experience with breast soreness is that it came back and didn't really go away but was never as bad as the first trimester.

Diege - hope GP sorts you out with something for those piles. Oouch!!

BNJP - hope you and DS had a better night and he's still turning that corner.

Kay - Lavender is so cute!!

BB - congrats on scan. I will be good to hear from you more often!

Moos - LOL at norkage

Glask - glad you had a good birthday
