Well I feel worse than I did with my other two feel really crampy and achey. A bit worried
Don't worry about the race ds was 11 days late

singalongamumum · 07/05/2009 20:53

DS was 10 days late and induced even then! I feel quite achy too, assumed it was just like that 2nd time round; obviously not! If you feel rough it sounds like a nice strong pregnancy. I had forgotten how much of pregnancy feels like you're just hanging around, waiting. Oh, have I just shown how impatient I am so early on in the thread? Damn, I was going to wait...

i've been a bit crampy too....

oomska · 07/05/2009 21:12

yup, singalong, lots of hanging around and EATING for me. I can't stop. Feel ok apart from that now that my insane mood swings have calmed down a bit... ruddy hormones.

alibobins · 07/05/2009 21:42

Glad others feel the same its been such a long time since I was last pregnant lol
Off on holiday tomorrow to Haven so I'm going to take it easy.
I feel sick on and off all day I'm a twin so hope there is only 1 in there

lilacpink · 08/05/2009 09:05

Hi to all on here,

I've just has a BFP (clear blue) says conception was 1-2 weeks ago and would make me 3-4 weeks pregnant. After loosing a pregnancy last Oct (EDD mid-May), I'm really happy to have this news. I couldn't TTC for 6 months due to medical reasons, and now I'm pregnant again after 1 month of TTC

I'm really hoping this pregnancy lasts. I did a test about 1 week ago due to breast pain, but got BFN (I knew it was early but I was desperate to know). Breasts have been killing me, I have heartburn and abdomen is hard (I had to take anti-emetics from week 8 in my first pregnancy as have strong symtoms). So I'm really hoping signs are correct and all will be ok. Last time I had irregular bleeding for weeks before problems were picke up at a scan.

I think I'm due 10th Jan, but DD was 2weeks late!

1 JAN singalongamumum (DS 18mth)
1 Jan pepa (DS 3.5, DD 18mth)
1 JAN Alibobins (DS5 DD9)
3 JAN salvadory (1st Baby)
4 JAN kittykat765 (DS 17mth)
4 JAN leonifay (1st Baby)
6 JAN oomska (DD 13mo)
7 JAN hayzee (DS 8)
7 JAN timmette (DS 3)
10 JAN lizzylu (DS 14mths)
10 JAN lilacpink (DD 3)
11 JAN Katiei (DS)

Bestwishes to all, hope to pop in here regularly.

veryscaredleonifay · 08/05/2009 20:45

evening everyone, i hope everyone is doing well.

this morning i woke up so happy, i actually started believing i was pregnant. then i started spotting (well it was really more than spotting but not really af type bleading iyswim)
i've spent all morning crying, and all afternoon just totally numb, i really thought tis was it for me, but i havent had any cramps (fingers crossed they stay away)and now it really is only spotting.
i've been on a emotional rollercoaster today and really dont know how to feal now.

if it hasnt gone away by tommorow i'll see if i can have a scan done, although i think it still might be too early.

i really hope every one else has had a happier day than me.

kittykat765 · 08/05/2009 20:53

Hi veryscaredleonifay. Please don't panic (easier said I know) because about a third of pregnancies have bleeding. If you are not cramping at all then I would say you are one of the third. I had bleeding on and off with my ds and spent a good amount of time in the early pregnancy unit. I had a cervical ectropion (sp?) which basically means the cervix was more sensitive due to the hormones and can cause bleeding at any point. This will not affect baby at all. If you are really worried then go to your NHS walk in centre, they can refer you to the early pregnancy unit for a scan to make sure everything is ok. Be warned though, if you get a scan then this will be used for dates and you are unlikely to get another scan at 12 weeks.

HTH Kat

alibobins · 08/05/2009 21:47

Hi I had bleeding with ds at 8 weeks and again at 30 weeks he is now a stroppy 4 year old.
Fingers crossed for you.

timmette · 09/05/2009 06:55

Hi veryscaredleonifay try not to worry but you can always go and get it checked out it might make you feel better.

Hi everyone - how are we all doing - so far I have very mild nauseau and a fair bit of peeing - tmi I know . I keep thinking I should have more symptoms anyway will be seeing my doctor at the end of the month and having a scan so hopefully all will be well.

oomska · 09/05/2009 07:36

Sersi · 10/05/2009 08:11

Hello all,

I am tentatively joining your thread - feel the need to chat with others, but everyone is of course so thrilled to be pregnant and I'm struggling with that one. Have just found out am pregnant with no 3 - wasn't trying and was on the pill (1st month after coil removed). DS1 is 6 and DS2 4. DH and I are both really shocked, DH in fact seems distraught. Its not what we wanted but I feel like we should just get on with it and I'm sure once the baby arrives we will be fine - delighted even. How do I help DH stop being overwhelmed by all the negatives and all the many reasons we decided not to have another one? He's even asked me not to rule out getting rid, which I know I don't want to, do but don't really want to just overrule him and behave as if I'm not giving everything proper consideration. There's no way he will be forceful on this issue as he will definitely go with what I want. Trouble is I'm not exactly thrilled with situation either but feel like I need to be completely strong for both of us and I need some support from somewhere (here is where i've landed!!). I feel terrible coming in to your happy little forum feeling all down but wasn't sure where else to post. I am due around 15th Jan so feel a little connection with you all.

Huge congratulations to you all - I'm sure I will make cheerier contributions as time goes on - just needed to have a bit of an "emotion dump"......thanks!

alfiesmadmother · 10/05/2009 08:27

Hello, I am another new one! Tentatively joining, even though had about 25 BFP, the lines are still quite faint as AF not due til Tues. My due date is calculated as 18th January. Am having different symptoms this time. Can't sleep, dream all the time, nausea at lunch time, lack of appetite- sure that will chage soon though!!

Sersi, even when you have been trying for a baby it still comes as a big shock when you get a BFP, and every time I go through what have I done??? My 3rd baby is my little angel, such a delight and so funny and he just fitted into the family- so good that we are having a 4th!

Also I feel down and emotional- it is all the hormones which my body should get used to soon, I hope.

alibobins · 10/05/2009 09:13

Sersi Hope you feel okay
Me and dh were totally shocked andwere not planning another my youngest is starting full time school in sept.
I spent the first couple of days in tears wondering how we would cope with another.
Thi weeki'm begining to even feel a little excited so hope you feel the same soon.
Ali x x

singalongamumum · 10/05/2009 17:11

Congratulations to all newbies!

And even congrats to you, sersi, though it obviously doesn't feel like it at the moment. . Someone is obviously very keen to join your family if they managed to find such a tiny window of opportunity to leap into your womb! I have no advice, but I'm guessing that as the LO becomes larger and seems like more of a person you and your DH may start to look forward to finding out who they are? Does your DH get clucky around newborns?... do you know any that you can go and hold to remind him of the magic?

Hi, me too can I join in. EDD 20th Jan

Like alfiesmadmother, I have just found out I am expecting #4. DC3 was so easy, we just had to round up the number so that they can all play in pairs. Currently DS1 - 5, DD - 4 and DS2 - 13months.

Sersi - it is normal to feel shocked and uncertain in the early stages. I am just waiting for the "what have I done!" moment to arrive for me, it has with each of the other pregnancies. It seemed to last most of the last pregnancy, but when dc3 arrived there was no looking back, he is the cutest and most loving and easy-going of the three, and we would never be without him. I hope that you find this too, but I can understand that you are still in shock at the moment and need to consider all your options.

I look forward to getting to know you all over the coming months.

rainbowdays · 10/05/2009 18:01

4 leonifay (1st Baby)

7 timmette (DS 3)

18 alfiesmadmother (DS1 7,DS2 5 and DS3 3)
20 Rainbowdays (DS1 5, DD 4, DS2 13months)

Savladory ? I had my first at 35, a great age to start!

Veryscared ? as others have said here, early bleeding is not uncommon, some can even have bleeding as heavy as a light period and all be fine. I hope that the breakthrough bleeding has stopped with you and that you are ok again now.

As for me ? I have bouts of nausea already, and very spotty and crampy. But loving it all the same.

gizzy1973 · 10/05/2009 21:48

can i join to think i am due 5th jan but not exactly certain as had mc 31st march and not had af since then so dating from that but do know i ovulated easter weekend

this will be my first and i am 35 as well

DesertFairy · 11/05/2009 06:02

Can I join too?

Just wanted to tell my story and say hi... my name is Sharron I'm 39 and have been married to DH for 3 years, DD (born by emergency CS) will be 3 in June, and I've had 1 miscarriage in 2001.

We started trying for no 2 last year, however 2 months into trying we had the deal with the tragedy of my Dad dying unexpectedly, so we ended up putting conceiving on the back burner while I got on with sorting life out for Mum and the rest of the family.I even got to point of thinking the DD might end up and only child.

However DH and I agreed to start trying again in April and amazingly after just bedding once at the right time I found out I was pregnant! I've now had 4 bfp's with the line getting stronger!

So my stats are

Due 16th Jan 2010 and i have 1 DD who is 3 next month.

Wishing everyone, healthy uneventful pregnancies. XXX

Sersi · 11/05/2009 08:08

Morning all,

Congratulations to all of you joining. Huge thanks for all the support so far - I can tell this is going to be somewhere I spend far too much time.

Its been a roller coaster of a weekend for DH and I but I think we're both in a better place starting this week. We had a very frank outpouring of emotions all weekend, including DH telling me to definitely get rid of the baby at one point. He now feels terrible about that and poor dear it will probably stay with him for a while.

allibobins - my youngest will also be starting school in Sept, I was expecting to move on to a new phase in my life which involved working longer hours and getting a bit more of an adult life back - the best layed plans and all that. I also have the worst skin, my 6 year old asked me if I had chicken pox this morning....urrgghhh!!

singalong the thought that someone is keen to join the family despite little opportunity is a lovely one - thanks for that.

alfiesmadmother and rainbowdays - wow, no 4 eh! those 3rd babies must be adorable!!

I too look forward to getting to know everyone over the coming months. This is such a great place to have - especially in these early days when I won't be telling anyone here in the real world for as long as is humanly possible.

xxx

DesertFairy · 11/05/2009 08:22

Sersi, My DH cried when i told him about DD and refused to talk for days! he had 2 sons from a previous marriage and never imagined having any more! 3 years on he adores DD "his little princess" and when I told him this time he was ecstatic.... It ok to take time to come to terms with it, its a big shock.... but it will be ok! XXX

Sersi · 11/05/2009 09:26

desertfairy - you're right its definitely the shock that has been the predominant thing. sorry to hear you've had such a hard year, a new baby is a fantastic focus for your family. congratulations.

is it a good idea to let your GP know straight away? I think I'd rather leave it a little while, it's such early days isn't it.
