I had a fab time in York. Dylan is much bigger than the other babies, they are all so gorgeous!!!

I had a hell of a trip home. We missed our bus by 5 minutes and then the bus was 25 minutes late. So I just made it to weight watchers and I habd lost 6lbs. So that toad in the hole wednesday night probably made me put 2lbs on.

Hope you are all ok, I'm off to get my hair done this morning. I can't wait!!!

Kay - glad meet up and WW both went well.

I went to Church last night for Holy Thursday and a lovely "coincidence" meant that, as part of the service, I processed up with the oil of baptism that will be used in the parish during the next year. I was really pleased and couldn't help thinking that we'd be using a bit of that oil for our lo in a few months time!

MINM - I've realised I never replied to your post the other day about voltarol gel. The manufacturers would recommend avoiding it as some will be absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream but they don't know how much. The risk is probably minimal but if you can find an alternative first with paracetamol and heat packs then do.
As for raspberry leaf tea, I am hopeless at drinking fluid anyway and have never liked any type of tea so I may get some capsules instead.

tink - hope Bracken got on ok last night with Moses basket in cot.

My two have bad colds and coughs again and of cause (according to dp) it is my fault i obviously have not been dressing them correctly or letting them play with ill people really pissed off with dp today is now saying York is too far to go..... Well I say f@@k him I am coming....

Oh no!!! I've just seen on another thread that if you have an underactive thyroid, it can reduce your milk supply and cause problems with bf
I (stupidly) googled it and it does seem to be the case.
I must make sure I take my tablets every day and hope that I'll be ok I guess.

Morning! Waiting in for hairdresser who is discovering the joys of planning with a 4 week old PFB . She keeps on ringing to put off till later, but I tell you she's not leaving this house until my roots are done
SES, I'm sure if you take the meds and are aware of any possible bf supply issues that you will be fully prepared for an eventuality. Is there a bf councillor that you could chat to before the baby is born? I'm sure she (or he - our's is a male!) would have some useful advice.
KAYZ, hope your hair goes well today; are you having the colour darkened?
LB, stick to your guns on York!!! Is dp being difficult because he has to look after LOs? Or were you bringing them? Maybe you could all come up and we could lynch him he could help with travel etc, plus have a break himself?

Ses, if that is the case then you can take fenugreek tablets. Fenugreek is a natural remedy that increases your milk supply. It really does work too.

Just a quick one to say hope everyone is well. Sorry, haven't had chance to catch up yet. This baby lark is very time consuming!! Things going well. Was having a few probs with b.feeding - getting DD to latch on, but she seems to be improving now and has put on weight, so that is good. She is now 6.13 little fatty .

She is slightly jaundiced, so we had to take her for a blood test which was horrible ...

Must post BS soon, before I forget what it was like!

Will be a better wagoner soon - I promise! Have a great Easter everyone xx

I am in the middle of cleaning the house before my family descend later this afternoon. My mum flew in from Australia last night, and I haven't seen her since last summer. Can't wait!

Hair is lovely if I say so myself So good to have roots done, and have also had some new highlights put and the ends trimmed. Was good to hear about hairdresser's baby - just 3 weeks and felt very broody looking at the piccies!

pixifoto went great dd1 luved it and dd2 was really chilled and a good girl. they were both really good

we chose 3 pics of dd1 on a long sheet 7x5 each,2 10x8s of bracken and got complimentary of both of them all lovely

Cosmo - Huge CONGRATUALTIONS on the birth of your very beautiful little April (really cute name as well!) So pleased the nausea has dissapeared!

As for everything else that has gone on, I can't possibly catch up properly but it sounds like everyone is well and trundling along nicely

We had a lovely day yesterday which was really needed. My friend and her three DC's and me and the boys all toddled off to the dreaded playbarn, got home about 4 o'clock, all the kids still buzzing, the cups of tea turned into glasses of wine about 5 o'clock, we stuck pizza's and chicken in the oven, opened some buffet type foods, kid's trashed the living room and play room, we hid in the kitchen with the wine and ciggarettes she took her DC's home about 8, then came back and we had a lovely chill out just talking nonsense and giving DH some light hearted grief Poor bloke didn't know what had hit him It's a good job he's a good sport!

Ah, knew it as too good to be true, a whole 10 mins on MN with out interuption - now Mikey is waking up! He is so gorgeous Really getting his own little charactor and becoming a little person. His sleeping is great, as long as we can get his last bottle to be around 9.30-10pm he'll sleep through no probs. Poor little man is teething though, not really disturbing his sleep at night yet bless him. Got HV coming next Friday to tell me all about weaning - because obviously I wouldn't know where to start I wouldn't mind, but I do BLW so everything she says is of no use anyway! And even if I was a first timer, willing to take on clumps of soggy baby rice and such like, what's the use in telling me it all when he's only 3 months old? Waste of time I tell ya!

Right, I think the small little whinges are starting to turn into a major melt down, so I really must go, lots of love to you all xxx
