I'm guessing the 23rd as it's when I have my 20 week scan + it's a week past your due date. Keeping the weight nice and managable for you too.

Morning! Thanks fir the great catch up KOOKY! Glad to hear I wasn't imagining the AI person .
BB, sorry to hear things have been so tough - can totally understand why you've been preoccupied! How are you feeling at the moment?
KAYZ, I'm sure your Sunday meal with family will be a hit...I assume the MIL won't be there???!!
LB, re: york we were dithering over what to do/when etc as there didn't seem to be a consensus on month/date to meet etc, mainly due to up-coming births! If everyone's ok with one going ahead though (taking into account we could also try for a mass north/south one end of summer, I am going to be bossy and suggest the following dates in May...If those who can add to list, we can hopefully work out what the best date is. I can only do weekends due to work, so obviously I'm biasing the thing from start, but have included dates where I couldn't make it (dh away) to balance things out!

York dates
May
Sat 9th
Sat 16th: diege
Sat 23rd: diege
Sat 30th: diege at a pinch

Hope this is ok! At least we've started the ball rolling

downstairs fab, we both loved it, had that wow we wanted. upstairs a bit disappointing and needed too much doing to make it right.

back to staying put until at least next year again.

I'm off into work today with all 4 of them, can't wait to see everyone , apparently there is gossip to be had too!!
I do miss work.

Was there a def date for York? We need to firm things up a bit, or if they are set can someone let me know please hehe x

sorkycakey · 08/04/2009 09:05

not until august but i've been away from them for so long and i love my job, so i'm really missing it now.

kk - what a catch up

i am a southerner so to far for york catch up

my dad is over today getting bracken weighed in aft
dd1 still has a bad cough was up alot last night

Diege · 08/04/2009 09:36

Sorky, August will come round soon enough! Know what you mean about work - though I moan about mine sometimes I know I'll miss it when on ML (though hard to imagine why at the moment!).
TINKS, good luck with the weigh-in today - doesn't sound like you have any worries there!
Am thinking I may give the bf another go this time round. Bf dd1 exclusively for 6 months, then gave up as too hard to express at work etc. dds 2&3 were bottle fed, which tbh I did find a great relief after dd1's constant 'snacking' (every 30 mins or so in early days). May venture onto bf board, albeit as a lurker!

Moosy · 08/04/2009 09:48

Well in theory I could do any of the May dates, but the fact that it's in York does make it a bit difficult! Google says it's 264 miles ? about 4 hours 35 mins . I'll prob be in the full throes of MS by then too. I think maybe I'll wait for the Southern one!

kookykid · 08/04/2009 09:56

Am putting myself in as a possible as these are my half term dates and we are planning a trip to the ILs who live near York then.

Will be back later as have a brief ten mins as DD is watching the brilliant "Timmy Time"!

Morning all, having a real can't be bothered day today. Probably because we are off on hols tomorrow afternoon and I'm really looking forward to a few days away with DP . A York meet up sounds great - will be lovely to meet some of you guys. I am going to the rugby premiership final at Twickenham on the 16th but any other weekend is good so I'll add myself to the list.

Morning

Feel like I've got loads to catch up on as yesterday afternoon had my first real "I have to go home and put my feet up" moment whilst in town. I just abandoned what I was doing (looking for nursing bras and a cheap dark old t-shirt for hospital!) and went straight home and sat on sofa with feet ona pile of cushions!

BB - good to hear from you and sorry you've been having such a rubbish time. Hope things start to improve for you.

Sorky - sorry house wasn't right but at least you knew. I hate it when you see a house and think not sure (guess that normally means it's not right though...) Enjoy popping into work - can't remember if I know what work is for you???

Kay - yay for DS2 sleeping but boo to the cat!

Hello everyone else too!!

Meet up sounds good but funnily enough I'll wait for one later in the summer You never know, I could "arrange" to give birth whilst you're all meeting up??!! (If only it were that easy to arrange!)

This morning I'm clearing out my car of work stuff before going with Mum to pick my Britax Vigour and car seat up this afternoon

Tonight we have our 3rd NCT class. We're doing CS this evening (being brought forward) as one of the ladies might need to have a CS in a couple of weeks!!

York meet-up looking good then! Still need LB, and are there other northerners too?? (sorry, brain gone)Sat 23rd just ahead at the moment.
Sounds a lovely day planned SES, esp collection of carseat etc (not so much clearing out of work bits from car!)
IDOB, is it your camping trip you're off too tomorrow? Anywhere nice?
Am stalling dds (they want to go out to spend pocket money) as need to wait in until midday for parcelforce van I've told them the shops aren't open yet

Diege · 08/04/2009 10:52

off to

idreamofbeanie · 08/04/2009 11:08

LOL at shops being shut Diege !. Yes we are off on our camping trip tomorrow and we are heading to Cornwall. I've never been before so we are starting in Bude for a couple of days then just seeing what we feel like after that - may stick to the coast or head over to Bodmin moor. Now that I am feeling so much better and full of energy I am looking forward to lots of walking.

Ses - sounds like a nice planned day. We are looking at the Britax vigour too (the 3 wheeler) so you'll have to let us know what you think once you start using it.

BB - sorry you are having a rough time just now.

Sorky - sorry house wasn't right.

Tink - good luck with the weigh in.

Morning everyone!

KK impressive catch-up! I don't think I'd be able to remember that much. As for piles - and so sorry to bring up this topic again! - yes, I think that's exactly what it is. Although it's been better past two days.

Claire - I had a pulling/pinching feeling early on from about BFP to 6-7 weeks or so. woke up one morning absolutely devastated because the cramps made me dream I was bleeding and by the time the alarm went off I was sure I had mc'd. But they went away, and they're totally normal! Hope you're feeling better.

Kay - yay for sleeping through the night!! I'm sure your lunch will be fine. What are you making?

STT - sorry to hear your boss is being a wanker. Just one thing to think about though - I think after you hit a certain point in your pregnancy (28 weeks or so?) if you're off for a pregnancy-related illness, your boss can make you go out on maternity leave early. In the majority of cases, you'd probably have to have been out consistently for a good chunk of time for them to even consider that route - and I really can't see why they would want to do that, and of course I don't want to worry you - but if they're being difficult now, it might be something to look out for.

LB - so funny about your daughter. I mean, obviously, it's not, but I just keep picturing you trying to reprimand her trying to hide a half smirk as you do it My dad was famous for this!

BB - good to see you! So sorry you've had a rough few weeks. Here, have a brownie and a cup of tea.

Gruff - Glad you had a lovely time at your baby shower. My mom has been planning one for me. In theory it's supposed to be a surprise, but because I live so far away she's had to involve me a little bit with the details while keeping the exact where and when a big secret. I know they're not traditionally done here, but I think I'd selfishly feel like I was missing out if I didn't have one - it's something you kind of look forward to when you're day dreaming about babies

IDOB - where are you headed on hols?

Sorky - okay, tell the truth - were you slightly relieved that you didn't really like the house? I used to feel that way when we were house hunting and something wasn't in the preferred location or just a bit out of our budget! Enjoy your visit to work! And yay for potties and sleeping through! A man I work with came in this mornign super chipper and I asked how he was - he said great, as he had just gotten his first full night's sleep in a very long time. He's got a 7 month old daughter! Sorta makes me wonder what I'm in for

Ses, yay for pram delivery! Let me know how you like it! We're doing our big pram researching shop on Saturday. FWIW, the Britax got a great review on Which, with one of the highest scores.

Hi Moos, Diege, Tink and LB! Anyone else I missed?? Sorry if I have!

I won't be able to make it to York either But have a lovely time!

sorkycakey · 08/04/2009 11:12

Moos I'll likely come to the Southern one, as I'm nosy and want to meet everyone.

23rd looking good then

right off to play bejewelled blitz get ready for work meet-up
