Sorry been bit absent, but i have been reading.

STT sorry things are tricky, hope you are ok. feel free to post here if you need.

NJ/ Sorky - poo re sicklies, hope things are improve soon.

Tink- so many links! will look in a sec. Since you are the shopping expert, can you recommend a shop to find some nice, not too pink 0-3mth clothes? DD cant keep wearing baby gros!!

NJ- glad finance stuff is ok

Ses-how are you feeling? got those bags packed??

IDOB- sorry you are feeling down, lots of support here for you..

Diege- hows the heartburn and palpatations?

MINM- sounds like you are nearly ready to go, feels like yesterday you posted about going!

hi everyone else, hope cosmo and gruff are ok with their cosmo-ette and cub

sorry for anything i've missed

Everything is ok here with the small giraffe. She is putting on wt at a consistent wt and now up to 10lb 2oz (was 10lb 12 at birth). She wont be weighed now for another 2 wks. She is also long, on 91st centile so Im hoping she has inherited tall genes like me and her great grandma and great great grandma both of which have the same first name!

She is now 5 wks old and beginning to smile a bit and Im finally coming out of the new baby haze and actually doing more each day than feeding her etc

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 27/04/2009 17:18

Hi GYO
V impressive one handed typing!!
Glad the little giraffe is doing well and sounds like you are too.

I don't want to tempt fate but I really feel quite good! The usual final few weeks aches & pains, trips to the loo, swollen feet but that's all to be expected really and otherwise am fine. My hair and skin are becoming hassle free which is quite unusual for me! Over the weekend I had 2 sets of friends tell me that the final few weeks were obviously suiting me. One friend even suggested that it was suiting me so much that DH would have to ensure I was pg again within months!!! Not quite so sure about that one!!
Anyway, I might as well bask in this whilst I can!!

IDOB - sneaky hug and large chunk of chocolate coming your way...

STT - sounds like you could do with the same and I could definitely do with giving away some chocolate so that I don't eat it all!

BB - check you out indeed!! DH has been ignored for months a while now and we keep talking about GOFing to help things along but I'm sure the poor guy would like a GOF just for the sake of a GOF rather than some biological reason!

Nat - cheesy music...hmmm.... You call that cheese?! My MP3 player has cheesy 90s pop like S Club, Steps and Spice Girls ... as well as obviously more sophisticated, tasteful stuff...!

Glask - Being wheeled round in PJs sounds quite comfy to me! Hope you have a better night tonight.

LB - any update on DS? Thinking of you.

Sorky - hope the sickness passes asap

Diege - not long now until you're wfh!

tink - shop, shop and more shopping!! You're right though it is good on such a miserable day!

Right! Hope I've not missed anyone - apologies if I have! Having a nice chilling evening tonight with tv. Will watch 24 and Sky+ Ashes to Ashes. Obviously Eastenders to fit in too!!

tinkisnotenjoyingtherain · 27/04/2009 17:44

Kayzr · 28/04/2009 08:12

Morning,

STT, sorry things are tricky with you. Remember you can post here or on FB if you need to chat.

LB, I hope DS gets better soon. Hope today is better for you.

Gruff, Glad the feeding is going well. I hope the infacol helps.

GYo, things sound like they are going very well with you. Yay for putting on weight.

Ses, I'm glad you are enjoying the last few weeks. They are the weeks I hate the most about being pregnant.

Sorry to anyone I have missed, hope everyone is well!!

tinkisnotenjoyingtherain · 28/04/2009 09:30

morning

gruff thats great news
lb - poor little man
kay - hi

Diege · 28/04/2009 09:39

Morning! Just popping in to say hi - off to teach now until 3ish (everything you wanted to know about questionnaires - yawn). Will catch up asap - esp looking forward to Sorky's White compnay link

NatalieJane · 28/04/2009 11:32

Morning

Did anyone try to get on early this morning? LOL Message came up saying something like: "Mumsnet is down while we carry out some maintenance work. We're trying to make sure the server doesn't catch flu" LOL Made me chuckle

Gruff, well done on the feeding, that's great

LB, so sorry about your poor little DS, it's not fair for them is it? Hope he has some improvment ASAP.

Gyo, welcome to the other side It only gets worse better from here on in!

Ses, Are you all ready for the arrival now? Please tell me you have finished the bags?!!

STT, sorry things are a bit tough, you know where I am if you want a natter,

Well this morning I have emptied and filled the dish washer, put it on, washed down the whole kitchen, polished everything to within an inch of it's life in the living room, even got the feather duster doings out and got the cobweb that has been billowing about for the last month or so ! I've cleaned the windows in the living room (no mean feat, they are huge!) and I've thrown away piles of crap de-cluttered the computer desk and drawers and around it, think I deserve a brew and a sit down now!

Mikey is all out of sorts this morning though, DS1 fell out of bed about 4 o'clock, strangely no hysterics but the bang woke everyone up, including Mikey, so his/our day has started a couple of hours early, he's being all ratty bless him. I think his teeth are hurting him aswell, one just about poked through yesterday, but it has gone again today so they are obviously having a little jig about.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 28/04/2009 12:25

Hi!

Nat - I saw that message this morning and it made me chuckle too
My bag is nearly packed, baby's bag not packed yet (but all washed and ready to go). Also have a 3rd food bag on the go with cartons of juice, energy tablets, fruit gums and mini cheddars in for me and DH.
Poor Mikey with teething and noisy brother!

Diege - is it your last day tomorrow before wfh?

Gruff - good to hear from you and sounds like you're doing well

LB - hoping today is better for you.

STT - as Kay said, we are here (well either here or FB!)

Hello to everyone else...!

I'm just off out to pick Mum up for lunch. I always treat her at some point during March-May for her Mothers Day present. We are going to Cafe Rouge.

DH is away tonight. I think the last time before the baby comes. He was more concerned about me being by myself than I am, bless him! I'm under strict instructions to phone him as I go to bed tonight.

Right! Best go! Will catch up again later.

sorkycakey · 28/04/2009 12:27

Afternoon Nat, well done on the cleaning , fancy coming and doing mine?

STT sorry you're not feeling so good. FB is available if you want to use it to speak confidentially, as Kayz suggested.

Diege the sale has a few lovely things in. Dh took my credit card today to work when I told him I'd been shopping as an antidote to the weather.
He said "We can't afford for you to shop everyday that it rains, not in this country, even if it is in the sale"

sorkycakey · 28/04/2009 12:29

x posts Ses, have a lovely day!

tinkisnotenjoyingtherain · 28/04/2009 13:00

hi

have ordered pink playhouse and my first trampoline
and they have sent most of my vertbaudet order one of the items is the lampshade for ceiling thank godness knowing my track record with them

nj - the cleaning queen
tink - the shopping queen
sorkey - the sale queen

Kayzr · 28/04/2009 16:06

F**king rain!!! I had to go shopping and I got bloody soaked!!!

Is it really nasty to say I feel much more organised now DH is back working?

glaskham · 28/04/2009 17:00

Kayz- you've just got your normal routine back- when DH has a day off it sends my routine to pot!!

Sorky- gonna look at the white compant sale now... hopefully i wont like anything as i think i've spent plenty in the last few days!!

Gruff- glad the feeding is on track... its such a good feeling when they are putting weight on!!

GYo- i also reccomend Next, i buy around 90% of the DC's things from next and they wash so well, look fab on, and are very long lasting!!

Hi everyone else!!

As for us, had another bad night from DD2, waking every 1.5-2hrs for feeding and would stay awake for up to an hour!! Just hope she's putting the weight on for it all, she's being weighed again in the morning. To say i've cut out all the formula since last weds evening is good, but i'm just hoping she's put weight on since otherwise its my fault!!

tinkisnotenjoyingtherain · 28/04/2009 17:50

hi

kay - sorry for rain will send sun your way as it has been sunny here all day today
glas - good luck with weighing tomorrow.
it is hard not to worry about there weight isnt it.
you are right about next stuff dd1 has passed down mostly next bits from a baby still in great condition they wear very well

glaskham · 28/04/2009 18:09

tink- yeah weight is really tough atm.. ruby has just dropped off the centiles charts too so really needs to start putting weight on!!

I just love next stuff- i can never resist something if its 'next'!! All their clothes are lovely- for both boys and girls- just my taste in clothes!!

Anyway i have a banging headache and Ruby is being very clingy and constantly feeding (maybe she knows what she needs tomorrow!!) so i'm gonna get the DC's to bed then go to bed with Ruby myself. DH isn't home till nearly 9pm so he'll have to sort himself out some tea when he gets home!!

lardybump · 28/04/2009 20:53

DS has dropped a Centile in two weeks. He has still put on weight but not much!! They are giving him two weeks to see if it is just a glitch if not its back to hospital for us to see the Paediatrician again...

on a brighter note he went through the night again last night.... yay

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 28/04/2009 21:19

LB - I'm yet to be experienced in these things but sounds to me like your DS is doing well if he's put on weight amongst all the sickness. Really pleased you had a good night last night too - hope that's repeated

Glask - hope Ruby's feeding today does the trick for tomorrow too!

Kay - definitely not a nasty thing to say about your DH going back to work - just reality

Had a good lunch with Mum. DH has already phoned this evening to check I'm ok. I'm still convinced nothing will happen until a few days after EDD so I'm not worried!

Our first NCT baby was born today - a little girl be elective CS. Me and one of the other girls may pop in and see them tomorrow In theory, out of our NCT group, I am due next....

lardybump · 28/04/2009 21:28

Oh ses it is all getting so close isn't it..... Really excited for you... Have you packed your bags yet lady...

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 28/04/2009 21:31

Oh...err... bags sort of half way there... Ok, I'll do the baby's bag tomorrow...

Don't know whether I'm just in denial/disbelief or whether I'm just really chilled about it all. (This would be most unlike me but I have been listening to hypnobirthing CD but generally fall asleep within 10 mins!)

I guess it's all going to happen at some point and there's not a lot I can do about the when. Not much I can do about the how except to try and relax and keep bouncing on my ball

lardybump · 28/04/2009 21:38

Thats the spirit.... right I am so tired i am going to fall asleep standing up in a minute.... I am out to lunch tomorrow but will check in at some point... Night night..

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 28/04/2009 21:42

I'm going to go and watch a bit of telly in bed (advantage of DH being away!) and then go to sleep with hypnobirthing CD.

Hope everyone has a good night

G'night!

Kayzr · 29/04/2009 08:34

Morning!!

DS2 slept from 10 to 7!!!! We actually got woken up by DS1 for a change.

Some of the seeds I have planted are sprouting!! Very excited!!

Hope you are all well!!
