Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
mommyinthemiddle · 26/04/2009 09:27

Morning everyone.
i'm still alive lol.
Don't seem to have time to do anything at the moment, been cleaning house and arranging stuff to be shipped. They are coming Tuesday to collect shipping, all of our life in a small box then hand keys back on Tuesday. House is empty apart from shipping stuff and most of cleaning done so just touch ups on Tuesday once they have been.

Please help i haven't packed my bags yet, not that i am expecting to go into labour for at least another 3-4 weeks but have no idea where to start! Started birth plan as well, but gave up as not in the right frame of mind.

So i suppose i should start my syndicate soon.

Will read back and catch up soon.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the nice weather. Love the T-shirt and goth outfit Kayz.

Diege · 26/04/2009 09:27

x-posts LB - that does sound bad . I think if I was in your position I might give NHS direct a call for some advice. Hope you're ok xx

BBisfinallyPG · 26/04/2009 10:51

morning all!

Kayz pics look fab! LB i would be worried too so its completely justified, as diege says i think id call NHS direct, but i wouldnt be afraid to make a fuss at A&E either, i think the depts are sometimes so overstretched they forget that everones worries are valid.

diege sounds like your getting there!! exciting!!

I thought id be reassured after the scan and i am obviously but i still worry too, cant wait for 20 week one in 7 weeks, still waiting for the date on it tho, although DP should be driving then which will make life sooo much easier cos scan place is in middle of nowhere lol

Poor DP is VERY hungover this morning bless him!

ah the sun is shing here but we are having a lazy day!

My best friend dropped round the cot, crib, bouncy chair & baby bath plus a few other bits yesterday, cos she didnt have the space to hold onto them for me but i figure im three months now so theres no harm, although i wont be having the pram here, the old wives tales and supersticions are the last thing i need to be fretting about haha!

I tried to find babys heart beat with doppler yesterday but couldnt, bloody stupid contraption lol!!

anyway hope everyones well, and LB hope LO feels better soon xxx

BBisfinallyPG · 26/04/2009 11:33

just a quickie from me, Im still loosin g hair, not massive amounts but normal amounts when i have a bath, is that normal? ive read stuff and keep thinking it means something is wrong with baby? but heartbeat and everything was fine at scan... am im being silly?

Kayzr · 26/04/2009 11:35

BB, that is fine. It is natural especially during the 1st trimester and after giving birth. DS2 is 19 weeks and I am still losing loads!

BBisfinallyPG · 26/04/2009 11:47

oh thanks kayz thats reassuring cos some of what id read suggested it a sign of a miscarriage approaching!! thank goodness for that! im only loosing a few strands but everything makes me worry atm lol!! are you enjoying your mat leave? DS2 is gorgeous btw x

NatalieJane · 26/04/2009 12:12

Good morning

LB signs of dehydration: little or no weeing, dry lips/mouth/tongue, skin will lose elasticity (go like an old persons, sort of not quite fitting the body IYKWIM?) the first sign is usually the dry lips there's no need to panic at this point, but I would go to the hospital/GP OOH at that point with a baby. It is so difficult to know what to do for the best, I think follow your gut instincts and don't be afraid to take him to A&E if that's what they are telling you, you have as much right to be there as anyone else. Hope he makes some improvment ASAP.

Kay, sounds like you had a good day Cute little tee for DS2 as well

Diege, Welcome to the total flop that is known as shopping for boys, it's a whole new world out there for you, it's not easy, it's not enjoyable, but hey, at least you won't be tempted to spend ££££'s!

BB, the hair thing is different for everyone, and IME for every pregnancy, DS1 I didn't lose any till after he was born, then I lost a load, DS2 was the same but worse on a major scale, can still remember sitting in the bath having literally handfuls falling out, pretty scary when I know I don't have much to lose before I'd be bald! DS3 I think I carried on losing it at the normal rate and I haven't had any noticable change in the way it falls out yet and he was 17 weeks yesterday!

We are off out to do some shopping, DS2 needs some new trainers, and DH is getting my 'practice run' MP3! He isn't sure I'll use it after a week or so, so he thought we'd get a cheapy one, see how it goes and then if I do use it, I can get the ipod one in a few weeks Cheese music here we come!

BBisfinallyPG · 26/04/2009 14:02

aw thanks nat, glad it doesnt mean babys at any risk!GLAD YOU'LL BE GETTING YOUR TUNE ON TOO!!
why caps?? damn this pooter!

have you all read the penguins thread??so hilarious!! x

Diege · 26/04/2009 15:06

Hello! Also a fan of HSM TINKS . Think it's inevitable with 3 dds
How are you feeling today NAT??? Headache gone? Agree about boys clothes - can't get excited about a navy blue sweatshirt with a tractor on the front .
BB, hair loss totally normal - stop googling!!
Have realised after MIM and SES that it will be my syndicate . In a way I feel like I have been pregnant forever, esp taking into account the mc last summer, but still feeling very shocked that I only have 7 weeks or so to go!

Diege · 26/04/2009 15:07

Oh meant to say, do you want me to share my dream from last night (let just say 'Simon's got Talent' )

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 26/04/2009 15:15

MINM birth syndicate

DD1 4 days over 7lb 4.21am
DD2 8 days over 9lb 1.5oz 12.30pm
DC3 due May 19th

Ses - May 23rd 11pm 9lb 2oz Girl
MINM- May 25th 6.37am 9lb 5oz Boy
tink - may 25th 1am 8lbs12.5ozs boy
Kayz - May 27th 8.43pm 8lb 7oz Boy
Diege - May 28th 10.15am 91b 2oz Girl

Nat - I love my MP3 player but I need to get it updated as it doesn't work with Windows Vista which is what our new laptop has. Have loads of music I want to download and can't! Already have over 1600 tunes on it though! (Definite for the hospital bag!)

BB - I also have an angel doppler and took a few days to find hb and be sure at about 15 weeks.

LB - poor DS Advice others have given you is good.

Kay - glad you had a good time

MITM - I've only half packed my bag and not packed baby's bag yet. We must both get our skates on!

Diege - How are your swollen feet doing? Mine are just getting bigger and bigger. Trying to sit with them up when I can but I'm not v good at just sitting down for long periods.

Weather good here again today. DH is outside gardening and there's washing on the line. I've just sat down (with feet up!) to watch BTG from last night.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 26/04/2009 15:19

Hi Diege - xposted! I've never seen HSM but if this LO is a DD I'm sure I will in a few years!

Also meant to say I made the mistake of weighing myself. Was impressed I could see past my belly but not impressed with what I saw. I guess I've put on about 2.5 stone which isn't toooo bad but it looks so shocking!!

Diege · 26/04/2009 15:34

SES, I have just weighed myself and I have put on 2 stone, so not far behind you! Had only put on 22Ibs by time of labour with dds, so not sure what's going on there...... Feet feel better today, but have been very swollen these past few days. If I take my shoes off that's it, no chance of getting back on. Always a lot worse when in work! Have tried Body Shop peppermint foot lotion, after reading recommendations on MN, but not esp impressed - had a wonderful sanctuary foot spray that I've now finished - anyone any good tips for cooling foot sprays??

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 26/04/2009 15:47

Hmm... Trying not to worry too much about weight but it was made worse last night by friends we had dinner with as she has been losing weight and has bought some lovely flattering clothes. She has not got any DC though and doesn't want any so I really shouldn't compare myself to her...!

Actually I should go and find the list and update it...38 weeks today

Just back from allotment. Strawberries and blueberries are planted, yum! Off to PIL's for visit and tea/cake.
