Sorry Star x-posts...

I think you are doing amazingly well, you've coped so well with everything, never once asking for anything, help, a shoulder, even sympathy, you are very strong and there will be plenty of other lunches you will make. Hope DD is OK over the weekend xxx

Starshinetiger · 24/04/2009 16:19

Thanks Nat - honestly, she really isn't that badly off compared to what some other parents go through with their children. Was glad to be in and out of local hospital in 2 hours TBH. She has had some comfortable time today, so hopefully she's not too bothered by the wound.

Re. FB - you can select that only those people who are your friends can see your profile (i.e. not random strangers), think you might be able to select what they can see about you under Privacy settings, but not sure where that is now - sorry! They won't see any of our Mumsnet names, but if you're part of the Wagoners Group on Facebook (which I think you are), they will be able to see the name of that group, but not actually see into the Group IYKWIM. But they could then link that back to a thread title.. That is the only link between Facebook and MN as far as I can see. HTH

NatalieJane · 24/04/2009 16:27

See, you have a great attitude, many others would have been on the floor in bits, it is very admirable

I'm not on the wagoner's doing's (I am completely useless and would have no idea how to go about it!) but do I take it that if I don't join the wagoner's bit, then there is no link between my FB (or whatever my 'friends' can see) and MN?

Thank you BTW, it's all completely over my head, as you can probably tell!

Starshinetiger · 24/04/2009 16:47

I would wait for reassurance from someone far more with it on facebook than me, but to my knowledge - no, as long as you're not on the group then there is no link, even if you have us as friends there is no link to our names on MN, so no way of tracking it - and noone else wants that link made for any of us either, so you should be fine. Right, DS has woken from mega long nap - will never go to bed tonight now! Must get on with tea.
Think DD may have day and night confused - or else she just loves her car seat - she has slept in it for nearly 2 hours now - maybe she's just as exhausted from last night as I am, but my boobies are starting to ache!

Kayzr · 24/04/2009 16:57

Nat, Star is right. You can choose to only let your friends see your profile. And yes if you don't join the wagon group there is no way of anyone knowing you use MN.

How sad am I? Me and DS2 dancing round to Ghostbusters LOL DH is giving in and finally buying me an MP3 player doings thingy, he is magically going to somehow set it up to play through my stereo, so I've been going through lists and lists of music to get all of those songs that you always think "I'm going to buy that one day" and then promptly forget about, and some of the cheesy party ones to get the kids going etc. DH has started downloading some of them to the PC so I can listen to them on here for now, DS2 is running around after me with me going "who ya gonna call?" and him shouting "Ghostgusters!" LOL Bless him

Thank you both for FB advice, will give me something to sort out once I've done the music list!

Right I really am off now to find those magic pants

Have a lovely weekend everyone if I don't make it back! xxx

glaskham · 24/04/2009 18:58

Evening all!!

Have had a brilliant day out with the DC's and my mum, sister and nephew. They just loved all the fish, the massive sharks were fab- they loved all of it though to be honest!!

Went round town a bit too afterwards and i got DH 2 jackets/zipped jumpers, myself a pair of jeans, got DD2 2 prada tops, some catamini pants and a black snuggle sling, and got home to find my ring sling had arrived too and its just brilliant- just what i wanted, and she's so comfy in it!! cant wait to use it for a wander round a car boot at weekend!!

lardybump · 24/04/2009 21:14

Evening all. I am enjoying a glass of champagne this evening to wet DS's head.... Nice!!!!

Got lots of nice food today as we are going for a picnic tomorrow and just found out that it is going to rain most of the day... never mind!!!

Having a chinese tonight but it is now half an hour late, hurry up you gits I am so hungry....... I ordered it at eight o clock......

Glad you had a nice day Glask, you needed that!!!

NatalieJane · 25/04/2009 10:42

Oh dear dear dear can you tell it was a good little get together? Well it was good, I thought I was being very sensible (for me at least) stoppped at the third or forth glass of wine due to not being well and having had nothing to eat since Tuesday. Got home at a very un-reasonable hour, DH stood at the door tapping his foot, I came in apologised for being late back, walked through the hall, up the stairs and well, the wine certainly didn't stay down for very long.... thing is I didn't even feel drunk in fact I feel drunker now than I did last night (is drunker even a word?!) with my head spinning and still feeling sick.

I'm not asking for sympathy because mine is now partially self inflicted but Cosmo, and all of you other poor poor poor ladies who had weeks and months of feeling sick, I don't know how you did/do it. I've only been like this since Tuesday and already I have had more than a bloody enough! Was hoping that actually being sick would cure it but nope, on we trundle....

LB hope you champagne didn't end up the same way! And that the chinese got there before lights out! Annnnd, I hope the rain stays away for your picnic.

Glask, sounds like you all had a lovely day, just what was needed I guess! Sling sounds great

Tink, wish I could be like that, just adding the friends I was very close to, but am far too soft and nosy to leave others out!

Right, I am going to go back to the sofa, if the spider has gone..... why do they always have to be where I want to be? Sodding devil beings they are!

Diege · 25/04/2009 10:57

Hello! Oh dear oh dear NAT...It does sound like it was worth it though, even if you're feeling crap now . I also had a quite a late one (well, 10.30, which is an hour after my usual bedtime)and then had the joys of listening to a party over the road until 3ish . Did have a lovely evening out though, and was great to catch up with old friends
GLASK, sounds a very successful shopping trip! Will be intersting to hear how you get on with the ring sling - still debating which one to go with here!
LB, I felt your pain when reading about the wait in for the Chinese . Fingers crossed the rains stays away today too for your picnic - sods law it stays dry all week..first spots on the window here.
DH being a real PITA this morning getting the hump me asking him to take dd3's nighttime nappy off and put her into pants - I'm lazy apparently and could have got up to do it myself , as if it's 'my' job - arghh!! Guess I'm feeling a bit sensitive after leaving house at 6.40am for work all week, while he's had the week off to go on bike trips and pub visits etc.. Bloody men .
Still not rang doula - thinking now it's rude to ring at weekends?? Or is this just another excuse!!

tinkisenjoyingthesun · 25/04/2009 11:42

have a good wknd all

glas your day sounded lovely

lb - enjoy your day

nat - you had a good one then

hi diege

tinkisenjoyingthesun · 25/04/2009 11:43

have a 2nd bday party in a week time have to go as jungle animals buying dd1 a zebras costume is a tabard and hood with ears etc and dd2 a tigger sleepsuit and we are buying masks for us

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 25/04/2009 12:45

Oooh Nat! Sounds like a good evening except for the sickness without feeling drunk

Diege - don't know about doula over the weekend... Hmmm.... I'll shut up til Monday!

LB - champagne sounds wonderful. I must get a bottle in the fridge...

tink - you always sound so creative and that it's so easy! Party sounds great!

I really think my body clock is starting to prepare myself. I really struggle to go to sleep before midnight (even if I feel tired!) and then I always wake up between 3.30 and 4am and then again at about 6 to 6.30am and then go back to sleep about 7.30 for an hour and a half. If the baby tries to fit in with that schedule when it arrives, that'd be great! (I know... pigs might fly!)

Diege · 25/04/2009 12:47

Hi TINKS! Party sounds good, and I bet your 2 will look very sweet in their costumes . Have been meaning to ask you, how have you got on with your sling? (babasling??)
Ok, have bought my very last maternity item -a tunic top from topshop. I think the wagon can allow me this one, as it will do for after the birth too . Ok?? And my other things are getting very tight...

Diege · 25/04/2009 12:50

x-posts SES! Hmm, like the theory of your body clock...and you never know, those timings do actually fit in quite well with the early weeks! Sods law you'll get a sleeper and it'll be you awake ready to feed while they sleep on(have been there).
Right, must get some marking done.

tinkisenjoyingthesun · 25/04/2009 17:04

hi diege - havent used it going to sell on ebay.
not had opurtunity to use!!
oh diege you have been shopping again snap lol @ more maternity bits a girl has 2 look good lol
i bought highschool musical 1 and 2 cds on amazon and from ebay hello kitty alarm clock

Diege · 25/04/2009 17:22

Good going TINKS on e-bay front . Shame you didn't get use of sling - I would have bought it off you if I wasn't having a boy (remember it being a rather bright shade of pink )
Have finished marking here, so trying to rescue the housework situation before they all get back.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

tinkisenjoyingthesun · 25/04/2009 17:57

Kayzr · 26/04/2009 07:01

Morning,

I had a lovely day yesterday. I didn't buy anything though for the first time. I decided that as I am losing weight there is no point. I got DH a really nice coat and DS2 a top with bats on it.

Hope you are all having a very good weekend.

Kayzr · 26/04/2009 07:23

Kayzr · 26/04/2009 08:56

I saw soooo much I wanted to buy. That place is terrible for bank balances.

lardybump · 26/04/2009 09:21

Morning all. We had a lovely day yesterday but a really bad evening, a worse night and a today is really bad.

DS is being so sick even with the gaviscon. He is sick all the time then cries because he is hungry... Dont know what to do I can not feed him any more he has made me so sore, and whats the point as it is just coming back up. He is even sick while he has my boob in his mouth...

Should I go to A&E what are the sign's of dehydration? He has been really upset as well...

Diege · 26/04/2009 09:24

Morning! Goth weekend sound great KAYZ - your hair looks amazing, ditto ds2's bat suit
32 weeks today and starting to think about buying 'bits' with our usual shop - vests, nappies etc - so that the cost is spread a bit. Exciting, but a bit scary too!
Lovely blue skies here, but rain forcast, so no plans as such for today. Hope everyone is well
