Oh dear Kayz, what did he do?

Diege · 17/04/2009 13:37

Meant to say hi IDOB and MOOSY!!
IDOB, glad your Cornwall hol went well - was thinking about you in your tent! Remember camping in Cornwall at 36 weeks pregnant with dd1 - poor dh was forced to 'rehouse' us in B&B after first night of me complaining. Glad weather held off for you!
Sorry for poorly dd MOOS - must be something in the wagon air! Good that your mum can help out a bit
Have finished first chunk of work, so having a break now before next (most dreaded) bit...Think that break may last most of the afternoon the way I'm going!
Oooh did I say hello to SES??? Get that "£$%&U$%&"£$%^&* bag packed woman

lastboxoftampons · 17/04/2009 13:37

Oh, Kay, if I had a pound for every time I thought that...! Feel free to vent away!

Diege · 17/04/2009 13:39

x-posts LBOX! How are things?

Kayzr · 17/04/2009 14:28

Its the fact that he just ignores everything I say. He claims it is the well documented 'Husband hearing loss syndrome', I don't mind to much if I am waffling but when it is important stuff he drives me mad!!!

On a good note though my new boots have arrived!!!

tinkhaseatentoomanyeastereggs · 17/04/2009 15:13

got knocked off again

know what you mean kay - my dh is the same he is always saying i dont remember what you said i confess that i do waffle alot, like u say when it is important and they dont hear it is so annoying
ye for boots

Moosy · 17/04/2009 15:54

I don't wish DH would disappear, but his XW? Oooooooooooh yes! We've just a letter from the Australian CSA, they want to do an 'assessment' to see how much we should be paying her . Part of the agreement of letting her take their DD to Oz was that all ties would be cut and we wouldn't pay anymore. DH is raging.

Diege · 17/04/2009 15:55

Oh I get that KAYZ...when they are convinced that it's the first time they have heard that there's a childrens party on/you need to work late/parents are staying...gets me really mad, esp when he says well you need to write it down for me...wtf!! . Anyway, don't get me started!...glad the boots have arrived - are they what you wanted?

Diege · 17/04/2009 15:57

ooh that sounds nasty MOOSY . Is it as simple as referring the authorities to the relevant documentation?

Moosy · 17/04/2009 16:01

Unfortunately not Diege, we didn't get it in writing officially, we have a letter from her saying that she 'believes we won't have to pay maintenence' but the solicitor's thing he signed just said that he didn't mind them emigrating and having no contact. I know she's his daughter and all, but when she lives on the other side of the world with 2 working parents and we have a low income and 2 (nearly 3!) children it just doesn't seem fair that we have to pay for her! [rant over]

lastboxoftampons · 17/04/2009 16:03

I hate those arguments Kay - where he thinks one thing and you KNOW you said something completely different. Often makes me wonder what planet he's living on and how we can be so totally not in sync communication wise! {{{{{hugs}}}}} Hoping the boots help

Hi Diege - I think I've caught your shopping disease Just bought another pair of jeans! But with good reason, actually - I only have two pair at the moment, one under and one over the bump. I really prefer the over the bump ones, but they're getting really tight/uncomfortable And I really wanted some comfy jeans for our holiday. Although i think I'm going to change into them now!

Moos, I'm so sorry Even when they're halfway around the world, it's not far enough! Will you have to get a lawyer or do you think it's something you can sort our yourselves?

Moosy · 17/04/2009 16:11

Actually I do agree with the DH thing, sometimes I wish all our conversations were recorded so I could rewind and say 'See? I'm RIGHT!' Oh, I'm so nice!

Not sure yet LBOT, we've sent her an email asking her what's going on and hopefully we'll sort it out ourselves, if not then DH is going to suggest that her new DP adopts so that DH has no parental responsibilities. She's nearly 10 now and we haven't seen her since she was 4, she doesn't even know who DH is, the whole thing just seems so pointless to drag on.

Diege · 17/04/2009 16:25

Gosh, that does sound complicated MOOSY - unless of course she is a totally reasonable person who can reach an informal arrangement that everyone's happy with?? . Working with SS, I've seen how conflicts with CSA can really destroy people's lives, and can't imagine how tough it must be having to communicate complex issues with another country. Your dh's solution sounds a sensible one if he (and you) are happy with that
LBOX, just for research purposes of course [ahem] where d'you find those comfy jeans?? I also love my over the bump ones (though top shop baxter under the bump skinnies (surprisingly) run a close second. Have just returned my funmum ones (2 pairs) as they are a funnt fit and look like they are trying too hard to be trendy, what with distressed bits everywhere and bright blue stitching . I had such high hopes for them too

Moosy · 17/04/2009 16:28

She can be reasonalbe sometimes, but normally if there's money involved she does go a bit loopy. DH stomped around for a while muttering something about 'f*king money grabbing devious btch', have no idea what he was talking about though of course! [innocent]

Diege · 17/04/2009 16:55

Best to let him get it out of his system I'd say...How are you feeling today sickness wise btw??

Moosy · 17/04/2009 17:13

It's a bit on and off, starting to feel a bit grotty now as it's nearly tea tims and I'm getting hungry. I think generally it's getting slowly worse by the day. I guess it's reassuring that all's well though [weak]
