hi

busy busy

lb shame that your friend is ill and trip was cancelled
sorkey - take it green is your preferred playhouse colour lol
glas - you are doing well feeding and msming
bracken does very well in routin am following gf routine with sleeping and feeding.
spoke to hv yest suggested starting to wean her @ 4 months same as i did with dd1 as she doesnt drink much milk an is fussy.
cant wait i am going to follow gf weaning book 2.

has anyone seen photoboxs photobooks they look lovely

Kayzr · 16/04/2009 13:32

I've been very naughty and got the GF book about contented sleep. Just to see if it will get DS2 out of his 5am waking and only drinking about 10mls before nodding off again.

Tink, I got DH a photobook for fathers day just after we had DS1 and they are brilliant. I highly recommend them.

Right off to get DS2 weighed and for DS1's 2 year review.

Diege · 16/04/2009 13:58

SORKY, think the key to getting into gf routine will be starting the routine at 7am (ie tomorrow). I must find that book and check on timings etc.. I'm sure there's a 'strategy' for when they wake mid-way through lunchtime nap, but you may find if you start off day on right timings the rest will follow... Wine o' clock? Anytime from 5 onwards I'd say
KAYZ, have heard the sleep one is good
Was just thinking before, am I the oldest member of the wagon? (39 end of May)

glaskham · 16/04/2009 14:08

Afraid you're older than me... i'm 24 begining of june.

glaskham · 16/04/2009 14:33

right i'm off to get the DC's a nap... may even attempt one myself... (whats the betting i'll nod off just as DD1 wakes up??!!)

Diege · 16/04/2009 14:34

Oh I'm sure I am the wagon's senior member (although I was asked for ID in M&S a few weeks ago when buying a bottle of wine - totally unbelievable! ).
Right, I must get these dds out for some fresh air!

Kayzr · 16/04/2009 14:37

I'm 23 next Thursday Diege.

I think I must have done my calculations wrong when I weighed DS2 as he is 15lb 2oz now. DS1 is 28lb 10oz!

Moosy · 16/04/2009 14:57

I'm 28 Diege (and my pre-marriage initials were the same as your pre-marriage initials too, forgot to tell you that when you explained your nickname ages ago!), and we're yet to see evidence that our DH's look the same, come on, lets see a photo!

Sorky the parcel arrived today, there's way more in there than I've ever owned before, I'm hardly going to have to buy anything! DD1 very much enjoyed helping me try everything on, especially the super high black trousers! Have Paypal-ed you some postage money.

Kayzr · 16/04/2009 15:04

My mum has just rung me!!! Her best friend is pregnant!!!!!!!! Her DD is my age and has a 4yo!! So she will have a little brother or sister younger than her DS. It is so cool as they had her and then never concieved again despite 4 ivf treatments. So they never used protection and she told my mum today that she is 16 weeks!!!

tinkhaseatentoomanyeastereggs · 16/04/2009 15:46

cheers kay - think i will get one look great

glad weighing went ok
and ye to your mums friend

Diege · 16/04/2009 16:00

You're right MOOSY I never did post a piccy of dh - keep nagging me! So you (were) another diege! Even stranger is that I was actually your first name for 6 days, and then my very fickle 16 yr old parents decided to change it
That's fab news about your mum's friend KAYZ, bet she's over the moon
DDs are esconed on indoor play tent with crisps, drinks and a dvd on...should give me a few minutes hours peace to get some work done!

Kayzr · 16/04/2009 16:04

Are Diege and Moosy the same person??? That is just strange!!!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 16/04/2009 16:28

Hi!

Blood test done and had good lunch with friend. Her DS is now 4 weeks old and she makes it all seem so easy!

LOL at Diege & Moos being one and the same!

Diege - I think I'm 2nd eldest wagoner. I was 36 in February. Definitely old for a first timer

Kay - that's great for your friend's mum!

Glaskham - hope you got your nap.

I'm just watching last night's Apprentice. It does make me laugh that their common sense just flies out the window!

sorkycakey · 16/04/2009 16:37

I'm guessing Kayz your mum is considerably younger (or has younger friends than my mother) because I'd be mortified if my mother or indeed any of her friends where up the duff
Must be a shock for her after so long I'd expect.

Moosy you're a swine for the payment, 'tis all I'm saying

Diege I abandoned all hope at 1.30pm. Try again tomorrow.

Diege I'm right there behind you in age, but curiously was asked 3 weeks or so ago in Sainsburys by a young man if I needed ID for a bottle of wine . I think it was end of his shift and his vision was blurred with tiredness

Ses is knocking on a bit

glaskham · 16/04/2009 16:39

didn't get my nsap- by time DD! fell asleep DD2 woke for a feed the filled her nappy, has finally gone back to sleep but on my front!!

Diege · 16/04/2009 16:43

Lol at me and Moosy being one and the same - although there's the small point of Moos being 10 years younger
SES, loved the Apprentice last night too - how they could have got the costing so wrong amazes me...think the bloke should have gone just because of his arrogance..
SORKY, sometimes trying again tomorrow is the only way...keep going with it, tios early days yet..
Better go, dd3 has snapped supporting pole in tent

sorkycakey · 16/04/2009 16:51

Ooh I didn't realise Ses was only 36 , perhaps your seniority at work makes me think you're older.

I'm 35 this July.

Diege · 16/04/2009 16:52

oo, so SES is in her pre-40s then...

Moosy · 16/04/2009 16:57

Diege, DH's XW has your first name! Your parents were only 16? They must have been very young grandparents!

sorkycakey · 16/04/2009 16:57

I don't know anymore....I only know me n you buy wine

Have found a jiffy bag Diege will post at weekend.

sorkycakey · 16/04/2009 16:59

Does anyone want a bump cushion? It's sort of triangular shaped, we call it the 'cheese' it's a wedge which supports your bump in bed.
I also have a silver birth ball going, anyone?

glaskham · 16/04/2009 17:01

its very odd you all talking about ages, because on a daily basis it doesn't register how young i am, i feel the same age as most of you- mid 30's sort of age... but my mum is only 40... which is so odd!! i have friends in RL who are actually older than my mum but it doesn'y feel strange, but if they were my mums friend it would be... dont know if i've explained that properly!!

DC's are awake now, but DD2 has just gone back to sleep.

glaskham · 16/04/2009 17:02

Sorky- i take it the clear-out means no more DC's now???

Diege · 16/04/2009 17:04

ooh spookier still MOOSY...I wonder if I look like her? Yes, both parents just 16 when I was born. They had a quickie wedding, but still seen as very 'shocking' in the small welsh town they were from. My mum has since admitted to me that she got pregnant on purpose with me to 'snag' my dad who had a motorbike and was the 'cool guy' at the tech where they both were. Kids eh
That's great SORKY! Thanks again! By the way should explain that 'pre-40s' thing to be clear...if you're over half way through the 'decade' of your age you're 'pre-' the next. So 26 is pre-30s, 36, pre-40s, 46, pre-50s and onwards...There, have nicely sealed the hole that SORKY started digging

Moosy · 16/04/2009 17:04

Glask, most if not all of my friends are older than me too, and DH is 35, I put it down to growing up with brothers who are 6 and 8 years older than me so I've always been around people older than me.

My it's-a-boy theory is fading rapidly, I feel proper shit.
