I have gone with Sorky's idea!!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
glaskham · 16/04/2009 11:27

i'm getting scarily good at bottle feeding and MNing at the same time!!

Diege · 16/04/2009 11:29

Euromillions sound good KAYZ
GLASK, if you ever fancy some company in Liverpool museums give me a shout! We love them, esp Maritime, though must also visit Underwater street as dd1 said it's fab from her school trip.

glaskham · 16/04/2009 11:33

we just went to the big one in the city centre... didn't realise there were others... we'll have to do a trip and meet-up!! the underwater street one sounds fun.. gathering its sea stuff??

glaskham · 16/04/2009 11:38

just googled underwater street.... not water stuff, but looks like a great day for the kids!! maritime looks ace too- i love the titanic- the webiste says there's titanic objects on display- how exiting!!??

Diege · 16/04/2009 11:42

Lol, yes I assumed some sort of underwater sea tunnel thing, but dd1 tells me not...She had a fab time there though .
Maritime is great too. I thought it would be dullsville tbh, but the kids love it as it looks at history of Liverpool (with little stuffed mice for them to spot) and has things like dressing up and the old village stocks, plus a short film...great shop too Maybe we could manage it in may half term?

glaskham · 16/04/2009 11:49

not sure if i'd be able to make half-term... think the in-laws will be here that week... DS starts half term the day before the york meet-up... will have a chat with DH and see what we can do!!

Diege · 16/04/2009 11:54

Ahh, we have 2 weeks of half term, the joys... Don't worry if not, we're so close to Liverpool we can pop over any time

glaskham · 16/04/2009 12:00

our half-terms are only a week, then the end of terms are 2 weeks. We'd prob be able to make a weekend pretty easily... but it might be a little too busy at w/ends to try and control you're gang and mine at the same time...

Diege · 16/04/2009 12:07

Unless we bring the dhs and then leave them with the los while we have large lattes in the cafe

sorkycakey · 16/04/2009 12:11

Tink you do insist on making me choke on cups of tea with your links
I can't take that level pinkness without something like Gin beside me hehe

Diege my baby mocks GF and her ridiculous notions of routine .
She woke at 9.40 and was fine laughing and kicking away until 10.30 when she was hungry. At 11am she completely conked out! I woke her and fed her the other side, then the other side again, she's now fast asleep in my arms

....will try her in her cot now.

Right she's down.

sorkycakey · 16/04/2009 12:14

Betty's do salads, sandwiches and soups mainly, though they do do hot courses I've never had them. I always plump for the Club Sandwich because it's heavenly.
They also do cake and lots of it!

Right, 3 need lunch and I'm having cheese on toast.

2pm right Diege?

glaskham · 16/04/2009 12:14

I think i'd have to bring my DH anyway as i dont drive... and i'm scared of travelling by public transport when i dont know where i'm going properly!! so that could be a plan, one weekend soon.... will have to swap numbers and sort something... DH is normally off on sundays, but can swap a day for a saturday pretty easily- its so good being the boss!! haha!!

Diege · 16/04/2009 12:31

Sounds like a plan GLASK...I don't drive either so if a weekend much easier in car (or on train with dh as an extra pair of hands).

glaskham · 16/04/2009 12:34

just googled Betty's... not as expencive as i'd imagined... should be able to afford my trip to alton towers aswell in the same pay.... its a bit of a pain budgetting a bit more to save for our holiday... but i'm sure it'll be well worth it though!! the menu made my mouth water!! think i'll be going for the club sandwich too Sorky!! though everything sounds lovely!!

Have just been looking for cars again... seeing if there's anything that may suit our needs but that can be bought fairly cheaply.... the scenic seems perfect, we had one before our BMW (the car before the heap of junk we currently have) and it suited us then, but was a bit big for DH and as we only planned the 2 DC's then we sold for a 'smaller' car... now we've decided we want more room in the back for all 3 DC's... what does everyone else with 3DC's have? i'd love a 7 seater, but DH doesn't want a bus...

Diege · 16/04/2009 12:42

Sorry SORKY managed to miss your posts totally there! Yes, 2pm. Don't give in if you know she's not hungry! Sounds like she has the makings of a gf baby, but is currently in denial...
GLASK, we have a scenic at present, though will need to think throguh our options, esp as we car share with another family...It has been great with 3 kids, loads of room. May try to eek it out a bit as we only use the car once or twice a month tops.

glaskham · 16/04/2009 12:50

yeah, its the space that would be ideal for 3 kids in the back!! I remember DS loved being higher up in the seats too so he could see out the window easily from his car seat!! DD was still too young to apreciate it!! and the boot space would be very handy for our hols in oct!!

Kayzr · 16/04/2009 13:00

I am going to start having lessons again soon so I can learn to drive. It will make life much easier for us.

glaskham · 16/04/2009 13:04

i'm gonna learn to drive when we've moved... i can't wait!! then i'll get the 'family car' and DH will have a slightly smaller more 'stylish' car that he wants!! he wants either a focus RS or a honda civic type R i think!!.... he's counting down the days till i can drive as he hates bigger cars!!

Sparklytwinkletoes · 16/04/2009 13:04

Christ, you all talk far too much, can't catch up now, got to go out on a visit, will try to get on later,

STT - 15+2!

Kayzr · 16/04/2009 13:05

I want a Citeron(sp) C4, not sure if it will be big enough though when we have DC3.

glaskham · 16/04/2009 13:11

one of them (dont know how to spell it either so wont even try) wouldn't fit us in any better than our current car does... hence going for the larger car...

STT- how exiting!!! 15weeks!!! I can't remember that long ago!!

Actually just realised tomorrow was my due date!! but instead i have an 8 weeks old!!! how strange that feels!!

sorkycakey · 16/04/2009 13:21

have a galaxy & love it.

sorkycakey · 16/04/2009 13:23

Diege she's fighting it every step of the way. Woke at 12.30, been awake (wide) now feeding again!!

When's it Wine O'clock?!?

glaskham · 16/04/2009 13:26

Sorky- i love a galaxy- they look good too for their size... but DH thinks they are TOO big for us!! also like zafira's but he thinks they look like a mini-bus... and as its him that'll be driving it (until i can drive) it's mainly going for something that will fit us in which he likes!!

Kayzr · 16/04/2009 13:29

If I win euromillions I'll just get a strech hummer!!!
