Ooh GYO meant to say the feeling like you need to wee all the time can be quite normal post-birth while your pelvic floor tightens up. Had this quite a lot on and off. If it continues and it's sore when you wee get it checked out though. Assume you'll have a 6 week check in your area?

Diege · 14/04/2009 17:57

for you KAYZ - I think you must have the patience of a saint to put up with your in-laws!

Kayzr · 14/04/2009 17:58

He said that my mat leave wont last forever so good luck finding a job when I decide I need to go back. Urm I have a job!!!

Diege · 14/04/2009 18:00

lardybump · 14/04/2009 18:01

Evening all. I will also be BF and although I try to be discreet you will all still get a flash of my boobie sorry!!!

Sorky DS is 7 weeks not 6 but I think he is still having a groth spurt at the moment, he was weighed today and he is 12lb 8oz. So that is another pound in 2 weeks. DD was 18 weeks before she got to this weight!!!!!!!!

I love bf as well, and I am really finding it easy this time around, I expressed a bottle for DP to do at 6 and I am looking at him like this how sad is that !! I have emailed that guest house sorky so hope they have a room. Just realised that it is 1/2 term so that is probably why all places are booked so early..

lardybump · 14/04/2009 18:04

sorry that was a growth spurt, not a groth spurt!!!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 14/04/2009 18:04

Hurray for DH's job Kayz!!!! thats fab news!!!

Sorky- no issues from me about no pashmina feeding... I need lessons from someone on public nipple exposure i think! THen I'd be more relaxed!!!!

Moosy- hurray for feeling a bit icky in a weird kind of way. Hope it doesnt progress...

Spoke to MW and have a few steps to improve things. Got a private lactation consultant to contact, going to see a GP to get the SG checked out and to get myself a physio referal for the potential prolapse. Im also seeing my old osteo about my damaged tailbone. Phew...

thank you all so much for support... means loads..

Kayzr · 14/04/2009 18:04

Now he thinks we are going to get divorced because we will be working together when I go back to work.

I am sick of this now and just want to move somewhere with no phones or internet.

Diege · 14/04/2009 18:36

Great news GYO; sounds like you've got a good midwife there
Now KAYZ you don't mean that about moving somewhere with no internet do you now

lardybump · 14/04/2009 18:48

Sparklytwinkletoes · 14/04/2009 21:16

Evening....was just wondering what the plans are for this meet up - what time? where? etc. it takes about 2 hours to get to york from where I am....

Are you all planning to spend the whole day there / evening / who is staying overnight / where?

Not asking too many questions am I?

sorkycakey · 15/04/2009 07:48

morning....any news from gruff anyone?

lardybump · 15/04/2009 07:52

Stt how are you? I am going up on the Friday and staying over as I can not do both ways in one day. I wont be staying all evening I am planning on leaving in the afternoon some time as it will take about four hours to get home

Diege · 15/04/2009 08:32

Morning! Brrr, what a rainy windy day! Hope it's better in other parts of the country.
Hope GRUFF is doing ok! Hopefully we'll hear some n ews today
Hi STT! I'm also travelling up the night before - takes about 2.5 hours each way for me, so will be leaving York mid-afternoon to get home at a decent hour. Think others may be staying longer though, esp if more local, so feel free to make arrangements that suit you . I think the provisional plan was to meet in Betty's, but no time has been set as yet (maybe 11ish to avoid lunchtime rush? Or even a little earlier?)
Morning SORKY, LB

tinkhaseatentoomanyeastereggs · 15/04/2009 08:37

since we put bracken from moses in cot to just in cot mon night she has been waking twice for a feed?
dont know if it is cause she hasnt got comfort of mose?
woke 1am and 5am yest and 2am and 6:20am this morning
hoping she will drop earlier feed again.
so glad she is into cot wouldnt of been in moses for much longer due to her long length reckon she would have only lasted another 2-3 weeks

sorkycakey · 15/04/2009 08:51

Is she 12 weeks Tink? could be a growth spurt, needing more milk.

Diege · 15/04/2009 08:56

Hi TINKS! One tip I tried (successfully) with dds 2&3 to keep them going 'longer' through the night was to go from 3 to 4 hours for feeds in the day, so that they were a little hungrier and took more at each feed (ie, 4-5ozs). By doing this, they would have feeds at 7am, 11am, 2pm, 6pm, and then 10-30- 11ish pm and the night-time wake would gradually go later and later until it became the 7am one. Obviously you have to do this when babies are ready, and many will be still be hungrier before the 4 hours is up, but may be worth a try if you think B is ready to extend time between feeds.
LOve the sand pits by the way. Playhouse is lovely too, though a lot of money! Maybe I'm out of touch with prices these days!

sorkycakey · 15/04/2009 09:07

Is she feeding well at the 11pm feed Tink?

Kayzr · 15/04/2009 09:16

Morning!!!

STT, you HAVE to come to York. Pleaseeeeeeeee??????

We're thinking about putting DS2 in his own room. But I think he'll be there 1 night before I want him back with us. I think we might just put his cot in our room.

Hope you are all well.
