Flame-lovely to hear from you and pleased you have your AD's to help you along but bleugh at the MS.

Treats-are you an opera singer then? How exciting! Good luck with your exam.

HappyTangerine-thank goodness your sis got her rucksack back intact. Think I would have passed out with worry.

Good luck for tomorrows scans. Big wave to all!

Hi all,

I moved house at the weekend and my phone line hasn't been connected yet so I'm restricted to MNing at work. It's lovely to have more space though.

I am soooo of everyone having lovely hols. We really can't afford to get away this year, especially as DP is still looking for a new job, but it seems ages since we last had a holiday. Camping in Cornwall was fun but it just isn't the same.

Treats - that sounds stressful but fun. Good luck for your performances and for your exam!

HT - your sister was sooo lucky! I am really disorganised and dread doing something similar. Sounds like you had a lovely bank hol weekend.

Flame - sorry you are still suffering with ms .

Hi to everyone else .

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 27/05/2009 18:31

Evening.

Hope you are all feeling well.

Bit tired today after work and everyone now staring at my massive chest (previously not massive at all).

My scan is on Monday as is meeting with consultant re ECS last time. Any advice for people who have met consultants well received.

MeHimCatBlob · 27/05/2009 21:07

Hi all

great to catch up with lovely holidays, good scan news and sorry to hear about back aches, MS and troublesome SIL

on the consultant front, I saw mine (back problems) 2 weeks ago. they were runing 1.5 hours late and by the time I got in there, I was in so much pain i promptly burst into tears but she couldnt have been nicer. I have been refered to physio, orthopedic consultant and anaethetist and will see consultant again after my 20 week scan so my advice is, take plenty to read, prepare for a long wait but dont worry.

off to sleep now

MrsKitty · 28/05/2009 01:41

HappyTangerine Glad your sis got her bag back - not so glad that you missed out on your sneaky nap though! To be honest I'm more surprised that you got anywhere with the British Transport Police than the fact that someone had handed it in! I've worked with them in previous roles and haven't had the greatest experiences Perhaps that's just round here though...

Idreamofbeanie Congratulations on the house move...Roll on internet access!

halfmumhalfbiscuit LOL at the massive chest! My DS's key worker at nursery told me recently that she's pregnant and I though to myself "I knew it - I thought her boobs had gotten huge!" ...Thankfully managed to restrain myself from making statement out loud

Glad to hear everyone's been having such lovely (and exotic) holidays - keep them coming - I'm living vicariously though you lot!

Found out earlier that a {ahem} colleague (also known as complete t0sser) said to another colleague today "I didn't know MrsKitty was pregnant until she told me last week - I thought she was just putting on more weight" ...Aside from the fact that I told him 8 weeks ago when I also told everyone else - what a bloody cheek!

Anyhoo...rant over!

Hope everyone's keeping well

peachespaige · 28/05/2009 08:40

Morning all.

MissKitty he sounds like an arsehole! We had a guy over to do some work, hes been here lots before and he said to me BEFORE I was pregnant "are you pregnant" I said "NO" and instead of being embarrassed and leaving it, he went on to say "really cos it looks like youre in your first trimester"
HT I went to an Erotica exhibition last year (friend had free tickets, dont ask) anyway I bought a beautiful black satin corset, classy not cheap. I left it on a bench and as my train pulled away all I could do was wave goodbye to it, so gutted!

smallone · 28/05/2009 09:52

mrskitty more to the point, who told you this was said? You didn't need to know that did you? If someone told your ds's keyworker you knew she was pg coz her boobs were enormous I'm sure she'd be horrified! But don't worry, we won't talk!

HMHB I've got my consultant appt on tues re emcs and high bmi, so let me know how you get on. Can't see the point re emcs, yes I had a previous cs and I might be at risk of complications in labour, but what can they tell me at 21 weeks? Unless they have a crystal ball! I guess we'll find out next week.

idreamofbeanie · 28/05/2009 10:23

Morning,

all these stories reminded me that I told most people at work that I was pregnant at 12 weeks but obviously a few people didn't find out. A couple of girls from my office were talking about it at lunch and one of the guys from the office - who is very quiet and lovely - said "oh, I didn't realise she was pregnant but that explains why her breasts have gotten so much bigger recently" . He is the last guy I would have expected to notice or comment. I don't wear tight tops so I didn't think anyone would have noticed.

idreamofbeanie · 28/05/2009 10:25

BTW one of the girls told me what he had said - she said she hoped it wouldn't make me uncomfortable but it was so funny and unexpected she had to share!

HumphreysCorner · 28/05/2009 10:25

MrsKitty at what has been said.

Leaving things in places reminds me of an ex colleague who left a rubber dress in Wilkos and had to ring and ask if it was handed in. oh the of it.

Any scans today?

Big wave to all.

smallone · 28/05/2009 12:14

If only we knew it was given away by our boobs maybe we wouldn't waste all that money on pregnancy tests!

HC lol at the rubber dress!

littlepea72 · 28/05/2009 12:31

Hey, just got back from my scan. The doctor took ages and kept leaving the room! Turns out someone was in trouble in the delivery room , but he didnt know how to tell us in English, so he kept getting up & leaving! No sign of downs, and he said it was a very healthy but very big baby girl!!!! ...I thought it was a boy, and i kind of was wanting a boy too , but a big healthy baby girl is great

HumphreysCorner · 28/05/2009 16:11

How lovely littlepea-excellent news.

Just waiting for Willmouses scan at 4-30pm.

Just checking in to say hello and report another scan this morning. We didn't want to know the sex.

I enjoyed the scan, although it was a bit uncomfy as she was pressing quite hard. So lovely to be able see him/her and be reassured that everything is in it's right place.

Well done to you too littlepea!

Hello again ballio.

xx

princessmel · 28/05/2009 19:13

Hello everyone,

Can't recall everyone's individual posts, sorry !

2 more girls, woohoo!

On the subject of boobs, mine are huge!! They are very noticable! I wish they were back to how they were. I want small perky ones Mine are huge, heavy, veiny, mammories.

Great news about the scans Mine is a week today.

I had some really strange dreams last night. I dreamt that at the scan, the pictures were like photographs, rather than normal scan pictures, and they showed that we had been having twins. But they were baby snowmen, complete with sticks for mouths.
But they horrible part was that the girl twin had died, the boy snowman was ok. He was slightly larger and had rosy cheeks.

I can only assume that this is because I was thinking about the scan and that I am thinking this will be a boy. (family is full
of boys)

Earlier when I was reading stories to the dc's I felt my first definate kick! It really made me jump and I shreiked! It felt like I'd been prodded but from the inside out!! Very exciting and funny
I wish the movements would become regular.

The dc's and I have been swimming in my friends gorgeous pool today. It was lovely, especially after I'd had a bit of a grumpy morning. The children have had had friends over all week and the playroom and bedrooms were totally trashed. I was getting really stressed and going on about how they have no respect for their toys etc etc. My tollerence levels are quite low atm!!

Hope you're all ok

sammysam · 28/05/2009 20:35

Just a quick catch up!

Congrats on all the scans and all the girls! There must be more than boys again! Maybe all the unknowns are boys to make up for it!

Had a lovely busy day at the park-but am feeling it now. Feel very tired and achey and rubbish now. Just heard that my sis's sil (due july) ended up in hospital overnight as they are worried her pelvis isn't coping with the baby. This might mean bed rest for the rest of the pg. she was really hoping to work for much longer to have more maternity leave with the baby. Am quite shocked as I've just spent a week on holiday with her and she seemed fine-she must've hidden it well. Her mum had the same with one of her 4.

Anyway-i'm rambling-sorry!

Have to call dp in from doing the mini so we can look into trying to build a conservatory to give us more room......

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 28/05/2009 22:29

Hi ladies,

FYI taking a toddler to a zoo at 20 weeks pg on a really hot day is not a good idea. Totally worn myself out. Had to have a nap!!!!

Mrs Kitty - annoyed for you at colleague re weight thing. People just seem to be obsessed with other peoples bodies. One of my colleagues was saying the other day how he didn't recognise a certain lady as she had put so much weight on. Er hello, she is pg with twins AND she looks absolutely fine, just has a big bump. Leave the poor girl alone!

Smallone - will let you know what goes on re consultant. I am going to write a list to talk about but its a bit negative towards the hospital staff as they were totally rubbish e.g. will there be more midwives to deal with all the women in labour? possibly not appropriate.

Beanie - I think this is a lesson to us all over how much attention the chaps are paying to our chests i.e. constant observation.

Princess - wierd dream, probably the hormones. I have also had low tolerance today of my DS and his cousins at the zoo, you can imagine the state of the three of them when they had got a bit tired and all wanted a balloon/ice cream etc. Arrrgh

LittleMissBliss · 29/05/2009 07:51

Morning all,

Glad to hear of more great scan news, and two more girls!

My little boy is such a little wriggler, always on the move it's very odd, can't remember this much constant movement with ds.

decided to get double buggy now so on the hunt for a Jane power twin or a nipper double 360. The Nipper has got lots of really positive reviews and is ment to be really light weight and easy to push. But the Jane is slimmer. Would quite like a side by side so the kids can chat to one another, but just not sure about the width.

breakfast time better be off.

rubyslippers · 29/05/2009 07:57

fab scan news ladies! I reckon all the shy ones are boys

this weather is glorious but i do find it draining

spent ages last night doing housework - jumped over a step to get to the phone and my pelvis DID NOT like that - SPD definitely starting to grumble

hope everyone has lovely days -

x

smallone · 29/05/2009 09:22

LMB - my friend who has a double recommended checking the width of the pushchair against the width of a wheelchair. That way you should be able to fit through most doorways as they now have to comply with wheelchair access. Also I used to work in a card shop and the sidebyside always did better than the one in front of the other, unless you're going for the one where the smaller baby is sort of underneath the toddler.

Great scan news, who's left now? Only 20 (or less) weeks and we'll see our babies in person!

littlepea72 · 29/05/2009 10:24

Smallone did you have to say that! It brings it home that we really dont have that long to go when you think about it. But it did make me think of everyone who started out on this thread, and are no-longer with us, i wonder how they are getting on, or if anyone ended up pregnant again.

PleasinglyPointless · 29/05/2009 10:41

Scan this afternoon (TIs Flame)

I have forgotten everything I have just read.

Annoyed with Mothercare. Tried on this dress yesterday (but put the bow at the back), looked lovely apart from it isn't long enough in the nork area so the line that is meant to be under them came about 2/3 down Why can't they make things for bigger norks?

rubyslippers · 29/05/2009 10:47

ooooooooooooooh Flame - let us know how it goes

TBH i find mothercare sizing awful - their bras are terrible IME ... so skimpy and no support

i have about 18.5 weeks to go
