Thanks to Nutty for all the thread suggestions including this one. I hope no one minds but I picked this one in honour of the brilliant race commentary we had from Nuts and Frekkles the other night. Hopefully we will get some more.

Ah, xpost

BabyBolat · 17/03/2009 13:18

hello - just popping in before drs to mark thread!! Will try and be on more this afternoon but seem to be a bit consumed with work today (POOO!!!)

Springy you little nymph you! I have no advice that would be beneficial - on the one hand I would say get on it so you can get George out however if nookie is going to lead to all pain and no gain (that is just hours and hours of painful contractions that don't result in anything) I would be worried for your health and the stress on Little George - can you phone your nice midwife and ask for advice???

I seem to have developed a rash (not spots as such just lots of bumps) along my jaw line and down one side of my neck - do you think it's hormonal? My dr is going to love me today have about a zillion questions - most notably - is it coming yet???!!!

Ok really have to run as have to get DH's lasagne to him while it's still warm!

See you all later

purplemonkeydishwasher · 17/03/2009 13:18

DH was so sweet yesterday, brought me home the new Elbow cd! it's awesome! now certainly he deserves some bum love for that!

kazkiss · 17/03/2009 13:18

Do you know I dont think I have a single side profile shot of bump! ( am now quite sad) was not feeling at all photogenic at the time...

LuLuBai · 17/03/2009 13:18

Brilliant round up from Puzzle and racing commentary from Frekkles. LOL.

Really hope someone can get a final post on the last thread. Would hate to think ended a smutty April Mum's thread on the tedious subject of laundry

But while I'm being boring - Springy if you're after plain white bedding try First Linen. I've just bought all the bedding for DDs new bunkbed there - 100% cotton, 200 thread count there is cheaper than John Lewis polycotton (I have bought her a John Lewis waterproof mattress protector though as I know and trust that it will truly be waterproof and I have yet to get her out of nappies)

AuldAlliance · 17/03/2009 13:19

Juwesm, am very impressed by your bare legs! And your bump is very neat and tidy... The airbrushing introduces an, erm, interesting effect

frekkles · 17/03/2009 13:19

hahahaha... i'll be taking a cut then cockhungrystrumpet. you can pay me in the men you discard, panting, eager for more

Ah yes nutty, I wondered if you were going to mention the silence of Babypringle. It does casts a long shadow over the race course today. I think I can speak for us all when I say that if she's bloody well popped on us then the temptation to ransack every postnatal ward in the land till we find her teatree'ed arse and demand answers is completely overwhelming!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 17/03/2009 13:20

Purple - lol at bumlove payment for new cd

Juw - My bump looks similar to yours

LuLuBai · 17/03/2009 13:23

Oooh Ju - impressed by the bare legs. And your bump looks nice and low. Surely not long till you drop!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 17/03/2009 13:23

Frekkles the fans will not be impressed if we have had no postnatal feedback thats for sure!! Tea tree, arnica and (clean)maternity pads will be confiscated till the lady dishes the dirt!!

SpringySunshine · 17/03/2009 13:27

purple

Ju, I love the airbrushing. Or should I say 'what airbrushing?' Your bump's quite low - maybe you're one to watch!

BB, I'm sure my MW would love to receive that sort of phone call (it'd certainly make my day ) but I'm not sure I'm brave enough. Not yet, anyway. Perhaps if I'm getting desperate

I hope the doctor's full of excellent news for you!

Thanks for the link, LuLu That looks exactly like what I'm after. In exchange, I've saved the end of the thread - although I'm fully expecting Puzzle to come & add something of her own.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 17/03/2009 13:29

frekkles - i just noticed that on the other thread you mentioned you went to art school! where did you go? what did you take? (i'm another former art school grad)

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 17/03/2009 13:30

BB - the lower half of my face is quite spotty too i think it probably i hormonal tbh good luck at the docs xx

Juwesm · 17/03/2009 13:31

Excellent work on the end-of-thread Puzzle!

LMAO!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 17/03/2009 13:32

ooh ooh ooh did i mention i have my scan tomorrow?! and MIL is taking DS for the WHOLE day (she's even missing her running in the evening) so DH and I can DO stuff! we're going to a movie and dinner and maybe CD payment even...

and then on friday i'm spending that day at a spa with my 2 best friends! what a great week!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 17/03/2009 13:36

boffin how much bicarb do you put in the bath???

i'm suffering a bit with itchy/swollen fanjo (sorry tmi) dont think its thrush, though might be down to discharge?? or maybe DH's de rugging/laminating. have been using fletti and cotton pants and been wiping with sensitive fem wipes rather than TP as it was irritating.

Juwesm · 17/03/2009 13:39

Ah, Purple, that sounds like a really nice week. Wish I had more plans. Going for a curry with NCT group tomorrow, but that's it. Maybe we will go to the seaside at the weekend if the weather holds out.

My only recommendation re: lovely spa day comes via a RL friend - try to avoid having any treatments etc where you have to lie on your back as it's so uncomfortable it takes the fun out of it!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 17/03/2009 13:39

PUZZLE you are a goddess truly!!! ROFL love the last post!!!

Purple - yay for scan and day off though we all know what you will be doing with your free day now enjoy!!!

LuLuBai · 17/03/2009 13:40

Yay - well done for saving the thread ending Springy and Puzzle. Wouldn't have wanted it to end on a bum note

Juwesm · 17/03/2009 13:40

I don't know how you describe what kind of note it ended on!

B52s · 17/03/2009 13:41

BB I have that rash thing too. Doesn't itch or hurt but skin on cheeks and jaw and down neck is really bumpy. I had this with DS1 as well and it hung around for about 6 months after the birth!!! My skin is usually dry (suffer from eczema too) and pregnancy just makes it worse. At the lowest point last time my lips were flaking so badly and the skin was nearly bleeding. Hoping it's not that bad this time round, or for you either. I try to drink gallons of water and slather myself in Nivea. I'm still at work too - this is my long lunch break - I finish next Thursday.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 17/03/2009 13:41

Hole-y note prehaps????

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 17/03/2009 13:43

stuffed/full note even???

Juwesm · 17/03/2009 13:45

This afternoon, I think I shall be mainly baking another cake, whilst channelling the 60s with the help of[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0XknwXqLDo these] lovely boys.
