Thanks to Nutty for all the thread suggestions including this one. I hope no one minds but I picked this one in honour of the brilliant race commentary we had from Nuts and Frekkles the other night. Hopefully we will get some more.

clairey

bronze · 19/03/2009 19:32

Does anyone know do they use the same cut for second sections?

tristaleejac · 19/03/2009 19:45

no idea bronze, sorry

BoffinMum · 19/03/2009 19:52

In process of catching up ... Springy, a lot of people have talked to me about unwanted pg over the years, and tbh your friend sounds like she is about to make a decision she will bitterly regret for the rest of her life. The question I normally ask is 'if you won the lottery tomorrow and had unlimited funds, what would you do?'. A solution then becomes apparent.

Bleu, many thanks for Greek goddess compliment, I am feeling very gorgeous now. My goodness, your DH really is being lovely so let's hope that carries on!

Kali, it's time to learn Greek - my DH learnt German in secret by CD on his commute for three months and then surprised me down the pub with a long monologue. Only problem was that he had never had a conversation with another person, so when I delightedly joined in with questions of my own, he was stumped!!

bronze · 19/03/2009 20:03

ahhhh
DH had the day off today and spent it doing his hobby which is fine he was out of my way. So he comes home gets himself some dinner and goes to bed saying hes not feeling very well. I went up just now and went in to check on him, his eyes are wide open and tvs on so I ask him if I can get him anything (painkillers etc) him grumpy voice- just some peace and quiet, I was just dropping off. DD is still rattling around so I go and settle her and go to check on the boys. Ds2 has been sick on his bed which dh must have heard and hes ignored it so I've just sorted him out poor mite. changing bunks when pg is a nightmare. AIBU to be pissed off with DH especially as last time we all go this bug I was suffering morning sickness and it wiped me out completely. The day after I had it (and carried on looking after everyone) he took to his bed saying he thought he was going down with something then was never even sick
Actually sod that I know I'm not being unreasonable and I'm really fucked off with him. Anyway back to my laundry. I have so much to do just to keep on top of it at the moment.

BoffinMum · 19/03/2009 20:04

Bleu, it is vital to get dental treatment as a pg woman as otherwise you can go into premature labour because of infection (although that may not be an issue now, of course). NHS dental treatment is free in pregnancy and for a year after the birth.

LuLuBai · 19/03/2009 20:05

Oh Boffin that is so sweet of your DH. How incredibly romantic of him.

My DH is learning quite a lot of Spanish in order to communicate with DD. Although mysteriously she seems to keep learning new words in English. Today's ominous addition to her vocab was 'broken' (now where and why would she have learnt that ?)

Clairey - really sorry baby is breech. Do keep trying all the recommended stuff (hanging out on all fours with your bum in the air etc) as babies can keep turning. My mother was a breech baby and my grandmother had a VB. My grandmother said to me when I was pg with DD and she was transverse for a bit "Oh darling there are worse things than having a breech baby. They give you chloroform - you don't feel a thing".

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 19/03/2009 20:07

Bronze - I would go dump the laundry on his head and make him do it! YANBU at all

LuLuBai · 19/03/2009 20:10

Bronze that sounds eeerily familiar (except I only had one child to look after, change sick-strewn sheets for etc etc).

I think you deserve to go on strike all weekend (tis mother's day w/e after all) and get him to do all the nursing of poorly children, all the laundering, ironing, cooking etc etc.

Talking of which - Auld were you on strike today?

tristaleejac · 19/03/2009 20:14

bronze give him a taste of his own medicine. Get into bed and say "I'm exhausted, I'm pregnant, I may be coming down with something, I cannot move. You do it"
Then refuse to budge

LuLuBai · 19/03/2009 20:15

He he he - that sounds like a good plan trista

Anyway how are you feeling yourself?

tristaleejac · 19/03/2009 20:17

fine now thanks lulu (still have tummy bug but am ignoring it in the hope it'll bugger off!)

tristaleejac · 19/03/2009 20:20

I'm getting impatient. I told myself I wouldn't. I would wait gracefully for my baby to arrive when it's good and ready. I'm 36 weeks today is it still far too early to be whispering bribes to it hoping it'll come out?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 19/03/2009 20:21

trista - im 33/34 weeks and i have been begging mine to come out a few wispered bribes should be fine

LuLuBai · 19/03/2009 20:23

I'm 37+1. So I'm term. I am impatient too but baby really needs to stay bellyside just a little bit longer!

LuLuBai · 19/03/2009 20:24

What are you bribing the baby with Nutty?

tristaleejac · 19/03/2009 20:24

Actually I have to keep telling myself I have to wait another week so that I can give birth at MLU. I don't think they'd accept me there if I went into labour now as I'm still classed as early. Grrr....

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 19/03/2009 20:26

i'm just begging and pleading i cant really bribe it with chocolate or anything cos it already gets that in abundance

tristaleejac · 19/03/2009 20:26

lulu you're right of course, I just can't believe how long 4 weeks seems!

LuLuBai · 19/03/2009 20:28

Do you know what you are having Trista?

That is really killing me. I'm dying to know now.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 19/03/2009 20:28

Trista - i will swap you your 4 weeks for my 6 weeks [ v long shot hopeful emoticon]

LuLuBai · 19/03/2009 20:29

LOL - Smutty - mine is going to have to go to rehab as soon as it's born to recover from chocolate addiction.

(I've just eaten the last of the GU chocolate trifles - OMG!)

tristaleejac · 19/03/2009 20:31

HA! ha ha ha ha ha ha [manic, crazy laugh]
not a chance nutty!

lulu I didn't ask at the scan. Although if I was asked to bet a million quid right now, I'd say it's a girl.
Do you have a 'feeling' at all?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 19/03/2009 20:31

LuLu ROFL see you at baby chocolate rehab then

LuLuBai · 19/03/2009 20:31

Oh Smutty - I do remember what that was like. DD was due towards the end of March and everyone was popping their babies out before me. Will keep every digit crossed that your baby decides to put in an early appearance.
