surprisenumber3 · 02/03/2009 16:58

need to feed the DS's - this thread will probably be full when I get back!

BabyBolat · 02/03/2009 16:58

Well then I can't feel the head or anything but then LO is not engaged! does feel more like my inside cheek that lips!

Juwesm · 02/03/2009 16:59

Ah, it'll be my ebay sniping practice that did it, or nearly did it!

Lauren - list of abbreviations in the 'useful stuff' 'getting started' links at the top of the page.

Now, can anyone tell me how to post a JPEG?

BabyBolat · 02/03/2009 16:59

This is actually quite gross - sorry all forTMI!

Juwesm · 02/03/2009 17:02

Lulu - feel for those of us due on 1st April (yeah yeah, only 5% arrive on due date etc)!

However, it is my olds' wedding anniversary as well, so it would be kind of nice to get them a 1st dgs/d for a gift!

Juwesm · 02/03/2009 17:03

Although have already bargained on March 24th birth to avoid need to get DH a 30th birthday present. I don't think I can justifiably use it for both!

LuLuBai · 02/03/2009 17:08

Ah well Juwesm - last time I had a 23 March due date and ended up with a 2 April baby so you may be in luck.

Just done a whole load of those online gender prediction quizzes. All of them reckon I'm having a girl, whether based on Chinese Gender prediction or other old wives tales. That's lucky cos I rashly agreed to DHs current preferred boys name last night (it's a lot less awful than most of the names he likes, but I wouldn't be thrilled if I had to bestow it upon my baby for life).

lauren61 · 02/03/2009 17:09

im going now, talk soon xx

BabyBolat · 02/03/2009 17:10

OOOH Lulu can you post the links I want to do them too....

We STILL haven't agreed on boys names - have it down to three but honestly can't imagine any of them for this LO!

BabyBolat · 02/03/2009 17:11

Bye Lauren - speak soon!

LuLuBai · 02/03/2009 17:11

My old headmistress had a 1 April birthday. She was so enormously popular that no-one every played tricks on her. We all actually used to turn up with gifts for her (cards we had made, flowers we had picked etc) She was genuinely adored by everyone!

LuLuBai · 02/03/2009 17:14

here's one

another one - very similar

same sort of thing

and a Chinese gender predictor to finish off

LuLuBai · 02/03/2009 17:18

BB I keep reminding myself that with DD I was the one who took her to the registry office to get a birth certificate. So if all else fails and I am feeling desperately unhappy I can change it then. Very underhand I know.

The name he likes at the moment is a family name on his side which made me feel a bit more lenient and he agreed to a family name from my side as the middle name. So at least there would be a sentimental reason for the poor kid having an ugly name.

Juwesm · 02/03/2009 17:20

Why not compromise on two family-related middle names, and aim for a first name you both like? DH has two middle names, and yes, they take the p out of him at work for being a bit posh, but it allows you to get those family traditions in. Had a friend at Uni in whose family all the first-born males had the middle name Hall. V.odd.

Juwesm · 02/03/2009 17:23

It appears there is no way of inserting a file into this. If anyone is desperately interested in reading 'Close Encounters of a Perineal Kind' (seems quite useful in a 'persuading the DP/DH to help' way), e-mail me @hotmail.com and I will send you the scanned file. I think it should be legible. Probably breach of copyright though.

kazkiss · 02/03/2009 17:24

Hiya everyone, I hope you dont mind me joining you so late....

I have been invited by another newbie juwesm.

I am officially due on the 20th April having boy/girl twins, although i am pencilled in to have c section on 30th march.(hope this doesnt exclude me from your group as you seem like a fun bunch!)

I have been trying to catch up on a few of your posts over the past couple of days and you all seem to have the same twisted sense of humour that ju and I have!

Hopefully speak soon

kazzie

LuLuBai · 02/03/2009 17:24

Juwesm - personally I am all for lots of names but DH isn't. It took me all 9 months of pregnancy to get him to agree to two for DD (I had really wanted three and still miss the third name I wanted tagged on the end of her two) and now that she has two the precendent has been set. There is no way I could get a third in there. Plus he has utterly ridiculed his best friend for giving his children 3 names....

LuLuBai · 02/03/2009 17:26

Hello Kazkiss!

'twisted sense of humour'? I don't know what you're talking about

BabyBolat · 02/03/2009 17:27

Well LuLu I got 2 boys and 2 girls...

kazkiss · 02/03/2009 17:28

I think that hopefully having a definate c section excludes me from having to go down the perineal route, so to speak..

Unless anyone else thinks this is useful as until very recently I was blissfully unaware that stress incontience was caused by nine months of bladder pressure and not by natural labour and birth so desperately trying to catch up on pelvic floor excersizes (maybe thats why my thighs ache!)

LuLuBai · 02/03/2009 17:28

DD is forcibly trying to drag me into the kitchen. Must go and prepare some food for her. Poor kid.

Back in a bit.

BabyBolat · 02/03/2009 17:30

Hey kazzie -

yay for twins - will add you to the list...

I'm technically due in march although originally in April but dates moved forward and it's at the end so don't think it counts - are these your first?

kazkiss · 02/03/2009 17:30

We have decided on names, although keeping them very secret till the birth. But both names incorparate past relatives in someway.Although have only just realised that both names make up well known shop (and no not asda and tesco! )

Juwesm · 02/03/2009 17:31

Aha, Kazkiss, you have arrived! I take no responsibility for her behaviour while she's here!
