Cool, good to know the feeling faint thing is probably normal!

I am dreading going to my doc. She is such a cold fish and was totally unsupportive when I told her DH and I are Natural Family Planners. But hopefully the midwives will be better

EasyEggs · 11/03/2009 14:45

Hello ladies, congrats to you all on your BFP's

I have been testing for days and got BFP Sat, wasn't due AF until yesterday so literally only just. Have done another 4 tests since Sat and all BFP!

Was a bit of a shock to say the least but some things are just meant to be I suppose !!

Am due 17th Nov. Look forward to getting to know everyone

Catitainahatita · 11/03/2009 15:15

Hello all,

Let's hope we can merge the threads; otherwise perhaps the best option would just be to start a new one for all of us.

Cies I am ever so sorry to hear of your nasty hospital experience. I have lived (and been in hospital) in Spain and I currently live in Mexico. I don't know how much experience you have there, but your story sounds fairly typical. In Spain the Dr is still the king who hordes information/shouts at you/bullies etc in the manner of a 50s/60s doc over in the UK. (Same is true in Mexico to an extent). Don't take it too much to heart. But don't expect to have the same options as you might in the UK (home births/birthing pools etc). If you want all that I would look into going home to the UK for the birth (oh how I wish that was an option for me!!)

QueenNeurosis I think that a few of us are in your situation. Hopefully we can hold hands together and get through each day one at a time. Having a M/c doesn't mean that you won't be able to carry a baby; they are very common and happen to most women who are TTC; its just that many don't even notice. I've got all my fingers and toes crosed for you and me and everyone else on the thread. Roll on the 12 week mark

southernbelle77 · 11/03/2009 17:46

Hi all! I'm joining in too if that's ok. I think I am due around the 14th November. I'm slightly nervous though as last year I had 2 m\c's so don't want to get my hopes up too much. DH has said we should wait until 12 weeks before telling anyone so I'm coming on here for support! Going to midwife next week and going to ask for early scan as EPU said I would get one after last year.
I already have a 4 year old who is at school.

helips · 11/03/2009 18:21

Hello to all the newbies and congrats!

I saw a friend today and couldn't help myself and spilt the beans! She promised not to tell anyone else though and she confided in me when she was in the early stages of pregnancy so I know I can rely on her not to tell anyone. Will try to keep my mouth shut now till the 12 week mark but oh it's going to be hard!

Feeling really tired still, keep waking up early and not being able to get back to sleep, so annoying!

Cies, glad to hear everything is ok with your little bean, but your doctor sounds like a twat, is there any way you can see a different doctor next time?

Hope everyone is well, i'd best be off and bath my little monster and get him ready for bed...

NewhereHelp · 11/03/2009 19:15

Hey all, tested today - 2 weeks late yesterday, think that makes me due on the 3rd November.

I have 2 DS's aged 14 & 15

Can't remember what I am doing at all!

weston · 11/03/2009 20:22

does being pregnant, esp with no 2 feel very surreal for anyone else?! not sure if its just cause its soo early and haven't had scan but don't remember this first time around..then again i no longer have any memory...

scarlotti · 11/03/2009 20:45

Evening ladies

How is everyone? I've been suffering badly with ms today and yesterday - it feels relentless.

We're holding off telling after our losses last year. We'd already told almost everyone just before the 2nd m/c so had to untell everyone after which was awful. We've told parents and siblings and my bf. I'm being booked in for an early scan though so once someone medical gives me the ok, then we'll tell a few more people.

Here's our list - can we add in which baby we're on? As someone expecting no.3 it's nice to see other people as mad as me!!

Sorry to hear your suffering scarlotti but that has to be a good sign

I'm hoping to be suffering soon just so I can at least feel like it is all ok. I had early m/c before I fell pg with my last one and now I'm really paranoid.

Good idea about the list, I'm much madder than you lol......

Hi Ladies, is there room for one more neurotic?!!

I have done 3 tests - all +ve (& much to my DH amusement). I reckon I'm due 12th November.

I have one DD who is 23 months.

It all feels very surreal at the moment. I can't concentrate on anything, but don't want to think about actually having a baby in November in case it doesn't happen. Just wish the time until 12 weeks would fly!

Haven't any ms yet (which worries me! as had nausea all day every day for weeks last time), but do have really sore boobs and feel distinctly wierd. Perhaps MS will kick in soon.

scarlotti · 11/03/2009 21:29

piper well done on merging the lists - I did think of that but to be honest I didn't have the mental energy! How sad is that.

NewHereHelp I'll add you in to the list. Congrats on your BFP - we also have a dd who's 14 so a big age gap here too. Our ds is 3 so not so much of a memory blank this time around. Last time though I couldn't remember anything! You get treated as a first time mum again too as the gap is big. The confidence in handling a baby comes back instantly though

EasyEggs true, I keep telling myself symptoms are positive sign. Although if they could just be a little less violent I'd be happier...

Woooow, that is a long list lovely to know we are all in it together til November! (And beyond!) Well...I really hope we all make it. I'm so paranoid about m/c as close friends have had 4 but nausea has started so hopefully is a good sign...

MN calculator tells me 4th Nov but I calculate 7th so I'm going to wait for some official confirmation before adding myself to the list

PootleTheFlump · 11/03/2009 22:23

Well done Piper - much nicer to all be together!!

Welcome to all the new girls!! Congratulations!!

Piper & Scarlotti sorry to hear about the nausea - I'm secretly hoping for some to reassure me all is going well - think I will change my mind once it does!!

Well, I am definitely pregnant (could have guessed that from the millions of BFPs I've had )!! Had my scan today and was so relieved to find out all is ok so far. Just 5 weeks so only a yolk sac to see but have a rescan booked for a few weeks time and can go back if worried about anything.

I've told my parents now but resisting shouting it at everyone else I pass!!

Peajay - welcome, think we may be EDD buddies!!

hobnob57 · 11/03/2009 22:30

Scarlotti I reckon it's you with the twins with all this ms so soon I used to be on the July thread and there's HEAPS of twins on there!

Still no more ms with me (for those from the other thread who have heard my neuroses), but increasingly inflated boobs and a little bulge down below. My parents are over this weekend, and have both sets round for tea tomorrow. Wondering whether to say anything or not... won't be drinking wine so may have to. But last time we had in-laws for tea I announced I was pregnant and promptly started miscarrying....
