joycey understand your evening out dilemma totally - went out for a meal with a friend the other week and as we weren't drinking we were done by 9! i was back home by 9:30 How about a pub with a quiz on? Still feels like being out but gives a focus?

My nausea is so much better today and yesterday - the acupuncture definitely worked. It's not gone butis nowhere near as debilitating as it was. I'd definitely recommend.

becks130 · 27/03/2009 15:51

I just got back from the dr, he said that the lady who done the scan has caused a lot of confusion for nothing! He said that I should stick to my orignial dates as the hospital have done the dates from conception not my LMP so it comes back to the same thing.

All very confusing

scarlotti · 27/03/2009 15:53

At least you've got an answer though, stops the worry

iggypiggy · 27/03/2009 15:55

joycey I managed a night out last night - was home at 11pm - which is a good hour later that the latest I've stayed up for weeks! In a pub - doing a quiz - think it kept me awake am about to fall asleep a desk now tho...

NewhereHelp · 27/03/2009 16:24

becks that's great, does that mean you're 8 weeks again

lemontop · 27/03/2009 16:45

cupcake I'm so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself.

cupofteaplease · 27/03/2009 17:05

Hi all- I'm very jealous of those people having early scans- I'd like to book one privately for reassurance. I had 3 extra scans during my last pregnanxy and it was great to see her so often!

Well, I managed to stay awake during my lesson observation this moring, despite horrible nausea, and was graded as Very Good- fantastic! I shall take this baby to work with me more often

weston · 27/03/2009 17:16

took a pregnancy test this morning.....surprise surprise im pregnant.....yes i have already known for 6 weeks....and no reason why i wouldn't be...wonder what average number of pregnancy tests taken are?!!

katster37 · 27/03/2009 17:33

Becks that's great news about your scan! Bet you are feeling relieved.
Weston I keep doing pg tests too Not done one for nearly a week and am scared in case I do another and it's negative!!
Well, I am feeling really sick. Around midday I was worried that I hadn't felt as nauseous as normal, then on the train on the way home, I thought I was going to vom, then in Somerfield and even now I have eaten toast I feel rough... Is it normal to vary when it comes/goes? I always wake up feeling rotten and it seems to be worse if I let myself get v v hungry. What's everyone else's like?
Also, phew for Friday.... Such a long week!!

piper84 · 27/03/2009 17:33

Hi ladies , quick post from me, morning sickness has been very bad, was in hospital for a few days with a drip . Managed to get a scan though 8 weeks exactly today with Twins!!!!!

Cies · 27/03/2009 17:44

Wow Piper84 congratulations !!!.

Is there a history of twins in your family?

Hope you feel better soon.

cupofteaplease · 27/03/2009 17:47

Wow piper- twins, you lucky thing!! Congratulations!

becks130 · 27/03/2009 17:50

piper congratulations, they do say that morning sickness with twins in twice as bad! I hope you start to feel better soon x

newherehelp I am back to being 8 weeks again!

We have to sit down and explain to our ds tonight as the Dr put his foot in it DS doesn't fully understand whats going on, so i think it's about time I put his mind a rest. I'm going take him to choose a DVD and I'm going get him MacDonalds for Dinner which I never allow, I hope he takes the news well. I wanted to wait til my 12 week scan, this stupid Dr has really pi**ed me off.

Wish me luck

katster37 · 27/03/2009 17:53

Piper OMG!!!!! That is so exciting - you lucky thing!! How are you feeling now?

Becks how annoying that the Dr put his foot in it. How old is DS?

ursigurke · 27/03/2009 17:56

Congratulations to all those with positive news, especially piper84, good to see your happy smiles. Hope you're feeling better soon!

becks130 · 27/03/2009 17:56

As soon as we walked in the room he said oh i bet your happy your going to be a big brother!! He is only 3 but I think it's better that he understands whats going on rather being confussed about the whole thing, luckly for us he is a very 'mature' 3 year old and a very sweet little boy.

pavlovthepregnantcat · 27/03/2009 18:01

Twins congratulations!

joorla · 27/03/2009 18:06

piper84 · 27/03/2009 18:18

pavlovthepregnantcat · 27/03/2009 18:20

Joorla - welcome. Me too, dd is 2.8 and I am more anxious this time, don't know why . Fingers crossed.

BeckyBendyLegs · 27/03/2009 18:34

Twins!!!!! Wow! That's great piper! Two of everything! Sorry you've been in hospital - is the MS really awful? My stepmother had twin boys and she said her MS was twice as bad with them than with her other sons and lasted twice as long (but she said it was so worth it!!!!).

Katster I feel much more sick if I let myself get hungry. I know when I've gone and let myself get too hungry. It just comes over in a wave of nausea and faint feeling and if I don't eat quick I know I'll regret it. It must be a blood sugar thing. Just now I was feeling really rough so I ate a bowl of pasta with my DSs as they ate their tea. I feel better already but not sure it'll last too long, might need to eat again soon. I need to feel lively because DH is away and I've got to put the DSs to bed (sounds a simple task I know but DH has been doing the honours for about 10 days).

cupcakefairy · 27/03/2009 18:53

Thanks so much for all your messages everyone. I'm doing ok - DH and my BF have been amazing. Going into hospital on Tuesday. Don't think I'll be checking back here again but let's hope I'll be back on a 2010 thread...
Good luck to everyone

helips · 27/03/2009 18:54

Piper, congrats on the twins, thats fantastic news!

I've been a bit worried the past few days as I haven't had any morning sickness and the tiredness seems to be going. Also, I've got a cold so wonder if thats why I had been feeling so tired. I've got no real pregnancy symptoms which is worrying me. Mind you, a random person asked me today if I was expecting and when am I due, although that could be down to the amount of food i've been eating rather than the baby!

Speaking of food, am going to have a big fat curry tonight, yum yum! followed by ice cream seeing as I can't drink wine!

Scan is a week Monday and I cannot wait, hopefully there is a healthy bean in there and not just wind

helips · 27/03/2009 18:55

All the best for Tuesday cupcake, will be thinking of you, and best of luck for the future for you and dh x

Joycey29 · 27/03/2009 19:08
