Got a postive test last thursday, (and one everyday since ) after 4 long years of trying .
anybody else due in november?

Congratulations to all newbies! There are quite a few now and it's almost impossible to catch up with all the news.
katster - I'm sure you will feel better tomorrow. I think I had those sensations too at the beginning, week 5 or 6 maybe.

I have told my colleague yesterday (we are usually working in a team) as she should probably know why I am trying to let her carry the heavy stuff all the time. She was very excited - I seem to be the first pregnant woman she knows.
Today I told my boss and he seemed to be genuinely happy for me. I assume he knew this would happen sooner or later but probably didn't expect it so quickly.
I thought he would react positively and I'm relieved that I was right.

Did anyone check out the 4D scan link I posted yesterdat btw?

Hi all hope everyone is doing well, very hard to keep up with it.

I saw the midwife today and she gave me a due date of 20th October, but I'm almost certain I will be bumped back a couple of weeks at the dating scan. Bit annoyed actually, I have been told I have to have a section this time no arguments (2 previous sections). Why can't they just say "we strongly suggest you have a section these are the risks blah de blah" rather than dictating, I will probably have one anyway but I do have a bloody choice in the matter, I'll give birth in my blummin greenhouse if I fancy it .

Anyway sorry for ranting.

Wow, what a lot of people! 5 weeks, bfp last week but a bit nervous about advertising it too much. However, I can't stop talking about it and not many people to talk to about as we have not told anyone yet!

Evening all

Congratulations to all the new joiners, hamandegger I'd say you were pg if you got BFP even if its a faint line its still a line

I've been to my docs today, she thinks I may have an infection so has done a swab, the results will be in on Tuesday so will have to wait and see. She has also booked me in to see the midwife in 2 weeks, I'm still feeling a little uneasy and daren't get excited yet!
I have another predictor test that I may do to check hormone levels the last one (on Saturday) said 3+ which is the highest it goes, so if it says less then I know things aren't good but its the same then still ok!
I hate all this stress and worry

Goodluck Tigger32, hope it all goes well. I feel like I have PMT symptoms, but hopefully is baby symptoms. Ill get t the doctors next week, but I think EDD will be 23 November. Have washed down beetroot with Dairymilk.

I'm starting to feel sick! It's exciting now, bet i won't be so excited to feel sick in a couple of months!

is there any point taking another pregnancy test at 6 weeks...just to be sure........??

Weston....take another test if it makes you feel better, but the result should be the same as before, plus the fact you haven't had af is a good sign....btw I actually took another test last week 'just to be sure' even though I'm sick every day!!

LOL what are we like! there is no reason why i am not but 12 weeks is soo long to wait that u begin to think u are imaginging it even thought u know u are!

Good morning! I've been awake for 3 hours already (grrrr blumin' pregnancy hormones). I woke up at 5am needing the loo and then DH's alarm went off. So then all I could hear was him pottering about. Then the cats wanted to sit on top of me and purr really loudly. So I finally nodded off at 7am only to be woken up 10 mins later by the DSs who were in bed together 'because it was cold'. I'm sure I'm going to suffer later for being awake so long

I'm glad it is the weekend tomorrow. Hopefully DH will have lots of quality daddy time so I can take it a little bit easy at least. He wants to go see Watchmen at the cinema. I have no interest at all in going but have promised him I'll go with him as he can't find anyone else to go with him! I ought to remind him that I was the same about the Sex and the City film when it came out. Would he go with me? Would he rude word!

Morning ladies - it's Friday!!
OMG got my scan appointment through this morning - 8th May at 9.35 am at King's.... Aaaagh, that is 7 weeks today and I am already petrified! They asked me to participate in a study, where they also measure placenta blood flow and monitor maternal heart by ultrasound - anyone else done / had this before?
I am praying I get that far...
usigurke - glad your work were lovely about your news. I have told my TA as she is also a friend, and she knows loads about babies/prgnancy. Oh, and I feel sick all the time and she would have guessed before long!

Well after feeling rather smug with no real symptoms, spent all yesterday feeling horribly sick (am just over 7 wks).

Boss very kindly sent me home a couple of hours early (I told him a couple of weeks ago as knew I'd need some time off for appointments etc.) but he's on holiday next wk so I definitely can't be off then.

Am hoping (rather in vain) it was just a one off... have had a ginger biscuit in bed & am going to get up slowly & wander into work.

Morning all! Am just waiting for my doctor to call - they have an insane system where you phone and book an initial telephone consultation (usually for next day) then the doctor decides whether you should come in and see them... Not sure whether they can do the referral from the phone consultation? will see...

Morning everyone,
So I told my boss this morning. He was sort of happy about it. Said he needs to work out what this means? I told him he has plenty of time to do that as Nov is far away. . Asked if this was an accident?! Told him NO this one was very planned for a change!
I felt really good this morning, as I actually managed to sleep through (without peeing once!), I went to the gym (briefly) and being lovely sunny morning walked into the office and told the boss!
You know what else I realised this morning that I am officially addicted to Oasis Citrus Punch and Babybels (the original ones) and I have started walking bump first if you know what I mean!
Also told my parents few days ago. I knew I am not going to last long!

Morning all. I leave the thread for a day and come back to pages of messages! It's hard to keep up, but I'll try.

Yesterday was Fathers' Day here in Spain, and a bank holiday in my region, so we all had a day off work. Went to PILs for the day for a big family lunch. DH is youngest of 5 siblings and we all get on really well. We haven't told any of them yet, and I want to wait at least until we've seen a heartbeat on a scan, especially because there are young nieces and nephews who I wouldn't want to worry if anything went wrong.

All went fine, until I found out that the pudding was a pineapple mousse which I knew was made with raw egg. What to do? I NEVER refuse pudding (too much of a greedy guts, and MIL's cooking is fab), so how to refuse this without seeming odd? DH and I made a plan - I was to accept small portions of starter and main, feign a dodgy tummy and say that I didn't really fancy anything sweet. DH would pipe up with "How strange, you not eating pudding!"

Well ILs are NOT the kind to let something lie. Did I want to take some medicine? A camomile tea? Was it a virus? Did I have a headache? I should go and lie down. I musn't go in the sun. All this time, I was still hungry from my small portions and made DH fetch me some leftovers which I gobbled hiding in his room

Only a week or two until we tell them, but I can see our acting skills are going to be stretched!
